Waterfront vacation rentals in Maalaea Bay

We booked this air bnb as our anniversary trip in Maui and it’s the best location in Kihei and steps away from beachfront. The property is very quiet. I like how its central of Maui and can get to places within minutes! The unit itself was great with minor issues with the master bathroom sink being clogged which resulted to slow drainage. The host did offer to fix but we were on a schedule and didn’t feel comfortable with anyone entering the unit without us being present. Hopefully, this got fixed for the next guests. Other than that minor issue, great property and we will def be back!

The condo was just like the pictures, and the amenities were great! John was very responsive and made everything super easy. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again!

Great little apartment in Maui, nice view of the ocean. The apartment came with beach towels, chairs and all the necessities for spending a day at the beach. The bed was super comfy and the kitchen was equipped with everything you need. Big fridge that is def audible when going to bed, but we didn’t mind. Generally we really enjoyed our stay and would def. recommend the place.

Perfect place to enjoy Maui with beach view from balcony. The beds were comfy and the apartment was super well equipped! We had a toddler and there was a pack n play, dining chair booster, a few toys, and baby utensils! Megan was super responsive and helpful. Could not ask for a better experience. Highly recommend the walk down the beach to the sugar beach bakery.

We came here for our 20th anniversary. The views and beach are unparalleled. It is a more private setting and not walkable to downtown Kihei. This was perfect for us because we just wanted a chill place to be. It is still very accessible to the entire island and Kihei is really easy to get to. We will absolutely stay here again when we come back to Maui!

Derrick was so friendly and his place was just 30 seconds from the beach! He was generous with beach gear (chairs, boogie boards) and was happy to give recommendations and teach us about the local plants and animals. We will definitely be coming back!

Really nice! Loved the view and the building is perfect direction for sunset. Condo was clean and big. The only thing I would say is that they should maybe add Tupperware and ziplocks but other than that the condo and host were great!!

We feel incredibly lucky that we found this place! Kihei / Wailea area is the place to be. Complex felt safe and was very private which we loved. Cannot beat how close you are to the beach. A great beach, at that! The pavilion / pool area was such a nice add on. Place was clean and super cute. Host was super accommodating and responsive. Absolutely no notes. We will be back to Maui and I have 0 question as to where we’ll be staying. Thanks, Laura!

We loved our stay at this place. The location in Kapalua and the beautiful grounds were unbeatable. There were just a few hiccups initially but they were resolved within 24 hours. Firstly the AC was not working which was hard with 2 young kids and the warm climate. The company was going to send a tech but he wouldn't be in until the next day so luckily my husband was able to fix it in the meantime. Secondly, we had ordered and paid for a pack and play which was supposed to be in the unit on arrival but did not arrive until 9 pm (already after my child needed to go to sleep). I was told this would be refunded by the lovely manager Scott who came to deliver the pack and play. He was also kind enough to lend us his binoculars for whale watching :) The unit itself is beautiful. Very new and clean and exactly as the photos. We would 100% rebook if staying back in Kapalua, Maui.

What a wonderful and peaceful place. We felt at home from the moment we got there. Nothing was out of place. We would definitely like to be back in the future.

Leslie’s place was a gem! If we are ever back to Maui, we would love to stay here again. The location was perfect for snorkeling, and Leslie’s local recommendations were awesome. The check in and out was very easy to follow. The place has beach chairs, boogie board, beach towels and so many more! We also appreciated the hot jacuzzi in the condo and the beach in the front.

What an amazing place! My husband and I were able to truly relax at this beautiful ocean front house. Gardens and lawn surrounding house are gorgeous too. Almost a 3/4 wrap around view as the yard is at an angle and you can see the ocean past the neighbor's house yard to the right. Beautiful house, pictures don't do it justice. Short walk to little beach with turtles resting on the shore. House was well stocked with everything you could need. My only complaint would be that there is no TV. Not much to do in Hawaii at night so would have been nice to watch movies/news/sports together rather than being on our own devices.

This home was as described and the view is out of this world. Every morning we would enjoy our coffee and every evening we would love watching the sunset from the lanai. As you can see from other reviews, this house gets 5 stars because the pros are endless. However - we want to go over a few cons because as a group we rented both sides of the townhouse ($$$$$) and there were some issues that we felt may have swayed our decision to stay there had we known. 1) The homeless in the area. There is public beach access next door to an empty lot - There is then a church that provides free daily meals right behind the home. Put all of this together and the area has become a hang out spot. We had authorities called twice (sleeping in the bushes right outside our room that had bars installed on the windows/blocking the driveway) but could have called them every day. 2) No AC (we knew this) but it gets HOT and if you have littles it will be a problem. 3) Rocky beach entry. Bring water shoes!

Easily one of my favorite stays I’ve had since I started using this app. Location was pretty much in the center of everything and the communication with Ashley & Mike was incredibly quick. Such a great stay. Thanks!

We had the best time at this condo! It was quiet and clean and was exactly what we were hoping for! Don was incredibly responsive when I had questions or needed recommendations to rent baby gear! We had a great time and hope to Come back again

We loved our stay and are already planning a trip back. The resort is gorgeous, clean and safe. Zero complaints, everything was perfect!!

We had a wonderful time staying here. The location is perfect if you plan on exploring the island. It's centrally located with easy access to the main road to other parts of the island. The location is beautiful with great views of the ocean and harbor. It is windier in that harbor so hold on to your hats. The unit was easy to access, thanks to a dedicated elevator, clean, had lots of towels, and full of useful beach items (i.e. coolers, chairs, ice packs in the freezer, etc.) Our family would definitely stay here again!

All in all it was great! Everything was really clean and they had lots of stuff for us to use at the beach. The only two things we didn’t like is the ac unit was only in the living room. We slept on the pull out couch as the bedroom was pretty hot on the other side of the condo. Even for me who I like to sleep warm. Second was the strong bleach smell from the shower. It was pretty overpowering. It died down quite a bit after having the bathroom fan on all day for a few days.

Helene and Michael’s home in paradise is a true gem. We enjoyed a beautiful four nights here taking in the spectacular views from the patio, watching turtles swim by, and swimming at the beach right off the back deck. Helene’s home felt peaceful and had every amenity you could need. The kitchen was well equipped as was the bbq area. The location is prime and walkable to shops and restaurants while not feeling busy or crowded. The lack of AC was not an issue as it was nicely cool at night with breezes and plenty of fans throughout the unit. Helene was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We only wished we could have stayed longer here in paradise and are already planning our return. Mahalo 🌺💕

This place is perfect! Small but clean and has everything you need. It has a beautiful ocean view and is a perfect location. 6 minute walk to a lovely little beach and about 6 min drive to another very popular and fun beach for swimming and snorkeling. We loved our stay. Gabe is very reachable, responsive and accommodating host! Would recommend to anyone staying in Maui!

Jaron was an excellent host. Gave me a list of all the hotspots in Kihei and the condo location is in an amazing area. Great view of the water from the balcony and provided binoculars for whale watching. Would definitely stay here again!

Melissa's place in Kapalua delivered exactly what was promised. The location is perfect for exploring this beautiful area of Maui, and the property matched the listing description completely. Melissa was excellent to work with - she responded quickly to messages and kept communication clear throughout our stay. Kapalua is an incredible spot on the island, and this rental gave us the ideal base to enjoy everything the area offers. We'd definitely book with Melissa again.

Loved everything about the condo. The private/quiet location and the beautiful view. We walked on the beach every day. The condo is updated, nicely decorated and accommodating for 2 couples. Allison was very thoughtful and had some extra amenities in the condo like cooler, flashlights, dish soap, coffee filters, etc. Appliances worked good and the air conditioners worked great! Definitely a great place to stay!

The place was perfect for our stay. Tracy was very helpful with lots of recommendations. South Maui gardens is right next to the Airbnb and has a lot of food options. Kalama park is right opposite to it and also lot of restaurants we could just walk and go to. Place was clean and just as described. Perfect for us as a couple.
