The space
This exquisite lakefront villa in Lezzeno gazes out on breathtaking views of Lake Como. Savor mornings by the villa's lovely swimming pool, bathing in its crystalline waters and relaxing on elegant sun loungers. Relish an alfresco lunch at the lovely table under the arbor, as the lake waters lap the rocky shore beside you. Launch from the boat dock to explore the lake's vast expanse, and return in the evening to sip digestivi on the lawn, as the scintillating surface reflects the sunset's colors.
The villa's beautiful interior features French doors and windows opening to the garden and terrace, inviting the exquisite Como breeze indoors. Open a bottle of fine Italian wine the living room, stepping out onto the balcony to watch the stars appear. Prepare delectable feasts in the fully equipped kitchen, serving antipasti at the bar, and gather around the gorgeous, ten-person dining table. At night, cuddle up in the TV lounge with your favorite films. The villa's décor is understated yet exquisite, with elegant furnishings and lovely modernist art images on the walls, creating a serene, authentic ambiance.
The bedrooms occupy the two upper levels of the home. On each level there is a king bedroom and a room with two twin-size beds. All of the bedrooms enjoy ensuite bathrooms, private balconies, and beautiful views of the lake, while the king bedrooms include ample sitting rooms as well. There is an additional sofa bed in one of the sitting rooms, accommodating a ninth guest.
Il Gelso's location balances placid privacy with outstanding convenience. The charming village of Lezzeno is two minutes away on foot. There, you can taste fine examples of Northern Italian cuisine, or board a boat for a lake excursion. Como and Lecco are both about thirty kilometers away, while Milan and Lugano are within easy reach.
