Welcome to Stu's corner me 'ansomes, the perfect smugglers hideaway not far from the A30, Bodmin moor and the infamous Jamaica Inn - the home of Dick Penworthy the famous highwayman and his cat the Beast of Bodmin - some say his distant relatives still drink in the bar, and keep your eyes peeled fer 'is cat because 'ees huuge - a true beast, I know cos I seen im! Anyway me beauties back to Luxulyan, tis a beautiful little village nestled right 'ere in the centre of Kernow amongst the granite boulders. You will find all sorts; miners, smugglers, wreckers and of course the Luxulyan valley featured on TV, and some say, did have the deepest copper mine in all Kernow owned by Mr Treffry 'imself. While you're 'ere why not take a train ride to Newquay, my beauties as we 'ave our own station, stick yer hand out mind to make 'im stop. Visit some of our local ports like Polperro - a little smugglers port steeped in local history with its own museum. Fowey of course with all its fine eateries, frequent tall ships visiting and don't forget regatta week. There's Polkerris beach too with its inn on the sand, and then there's Charlestown me 'ansomes, often seen in the Poldark series re named as Truro quay. To top it all only a short hike or 10 minutes on your 'oss is the iconic World famous Eden Project home of the Domes and the acclaimed Eden music sessions and they'm bleddy loud cos we can 'ear em from 'ere. Luxulyan is also world known for 'Luxullianite' a very special rock cos tis pink and was used to make the Duke of Wellingtons coffin, so they say, and shipped out of Par, can't say for sure though cos I wasn't there. While you're stayin' 'ere we have a local pub serving good food, we have a well stocked shop and post office and not forgetting the pretty little church. There's plenty of parking for your 'oss and cart right next to mine and tis a beauty cos I bought it off Cap'n Poldark 'imself. So that's it me 'amsomes, look forward to seeing you all 'ere. I only live next door so if there's anything you need like a little bit of scrumpy or a good nights ship wreckin' then just ask. Stuart and Karen.

Absolutely gorgeous lil snug hidden away in the countryside of Cornwall. We couldn’t have loved our stay more. The home was stunning, the views were lush and Philippa was outstanding. Would definitely recommend :)

Dolly was adorable! We stopped in her for just one night whilst walking the Saints Way and arrived in time to watch an amazing sunset & relax next to the firepit. The caravan is really well equipped and the bed was huge. Really appreciated all the extra little touches like blankets and a hot water bottle, it felt super cosy, especially when it started to rain and it was a struggle to leave. Great campsite facilities too and a very nice hot shower! Thank you Ali :-)

"Traditional Cornish Cottage, Cosy and Homely"

A lovely cornish cottage with great garden for our dog & very convenient parking right outside thd front door which is good for the price. A good & handy welcome guide. We walked to Charlestown which only takes 15 minutes & is beautiful, had a coffee & really nice stroll, beach & harbor walk. We drove to Mevagissey which only takes 20 minutes, enjoyed the atmosphere, shops & a pasty here. The only downside was couldn't find anywhere nice right where we were like a cafe. Busy traffic but quieter at night. Only tip for cottage would be curtains for room our daughter stayed in for coziness & block light out more & a curtain to go accross front door for the same reasons. Other than that its a spacious, pretty & clean cottage, checking in and out was simple. Thank you.

What an absolute treasure tucked away in rural Cornwall, honestly the most perfect little shepherd's hut (not too little though) was really glad I could fit being a rather tall person (6ft+) Jennie supplied us with a gorgeous little hamper full of wonderful treats, the local eggs were amazing. Lovely vibrant rich yolks that made some wonderful scrambled eggs for breakfast. The hut had everything youd need to be comfortable for a short or long stay, outdoor space for wet footwear and jackets to dry to a kitchenette with alot of untensils/kit. Wifi, smart tv for wet days and a wonderful little electric fire to take the nip off. We'll certainly be suggesting here to our friends and family. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Ali’s flat in Roche! The place had everything we needed to make our trip with a toddler comfortable – from a cot and high chair to a lovely selection of toys that kept our little one entertained. The location is perfect for exploring some of the best spots in Cornwall, with easy access to beautiful beaches and main attractions. A special thank you to Ali for being so flexible with our checkout time – it made a big difference not having to rush on our last day. Highly recommend and we definitely will be coming back!
