A wonderful 4 days away over Christmas, with family and dogs. The beach was within walking distance and it was a pleasure to go walking there with the family. We were there over. Christmas and the kitchen was very well equipped for cooking our Christmas lunch. Esther was very welcoming and replied very promptly to the one question that we did have for her regarding the property. We would rent the property again, it was lovely and well equipped, but the best thing about t was the access to the beach. Thanks Esther

Had the most loveliest time and will definitely be coming back! The place was clean and very cosy, perfect location with plenty of privacy. The bed was super comfortable to sleep in and the fireplace was such a great addition to our stay. Spent half of the night in the hot tub which was so amazing to be in under the stars and had a nice welcoming gift which we really enjoyed 😊 our stay was spotless and we really look forward to coming back again!

We had a fantastic stay at the Captain’s Retreat. Helen’s accommodation was perfect for us as a small family - it was equipped with everything we needed. It’s also in an excellent location, not even a 5 minute walk into Lymington and a great base to explore the wider area. Highly recommend!

This house was lovely, perfect for a slightly larger group of people. The beach is two minutes away and there are pubs and restaurants in walking distance. Jade was so responsive and told us in advance about how to get enough hot water for all of the guests. Even over the new year she responded so quickly. We absolutely loved it

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, so much so that I booked a return visit before I left. The Loft is beautifully decorated and perfectly positioned by a quieter beach. The beach is mostly stony with a bit of sand, but if you walk towards west wittering you soon find sandy beaches if you prefer. The closest entry point to the beach really is two minutes walk. Lots of water sports going on if that’s your thing. The garden is small but well designed, sheltered and catches the sun for most of the day. The outdoor seating is very comfortable. The kitchen is clean and has a fridge, hobs, kettle and microwave (no oven fyi). Two can eat inside but four can eat outside on the outdoor seating. I had the most relaxing stay, and can’t wait to go back.

I had a fantastic stay! The place was spotless — definitely 5 stars for cleanliness. The location was perfect, close to everything I needed. Communication with the host was smooth and easy, and everything about the stay was just great overall. I’d absolutely recommend it and would love to stay again!

We spent 3 days in Lymington and loved the cosy cottage. The place was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It is very close to the high street and a short drive from several beaches, the Motor Museum and Paultons Park. Highly recommended it!

Large Family Home Private Garden Beach 2 mins Walk

We had a comfortable stay in this beautiful house for two weeks. We loved how close it is to the beach and the sea view from the bedrooms. Very easy to walk around and there is a variety of shops within walking distance. The sofas and beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Our cat also enjoyed the place and her little walks in the garden. It was generally very quiet, other than the neighbour's dogs clockwork barking sessions at 11pm & 7am. Our only comment was that the house was freezing when we arrived and it took many hours to heat up, causing one of us a nasty headache the next day. It would be nice if the heating was turned on a bit earlier. Once it was warm, it did maintain the heat quite well. Other than that everything was great and would visit again, especially when the weather gets better!

Carolyn was very responsive, informative and so kind. wonderful localaton, amenities etc. caravan was like home to home, well equipped and very clean. thank you again! highly recommend! 5🌟😁

We stayed for 4 nights in April 2025, 2 adults and 2 children (9 and 13). Fabulous stay, the cottage is lovely and tucked away from the road. The hot tub was a big hit and made the stay that little bit more amazing! Excellent host and a lovely cottage, we will be back.

Our stay at the Oak Barn at Hedsor was wonderful. The lodging itself is beautiful with large bedrooms and a huge sitting and dining area upstairs beneath the large oak beams. The location worked well as it allowed us to explore the Thames Valley and make two day trips into London. The estate property is beautiful, so do walk and note the different trees and plantings. We highly recommend this property and the people who live and work there.

A very nice weekend in an old cottage with lots of character. We did not spend a lot of time in the cottage, however, the time we did spend was very comfortable with all that you require to make it feel like home. The host was great with communication and a welcome message that made everything nice and easy. Overall, a great place to stay if you want home comforts and a base from which to explore the south coast and stunning surrounding areas.

The location was also perfect for walks, shops, pubs and restaurants. The weather was also fabulous ( but I don't think they provided that! ) I cannot fault this holiday home. we really enjoyed our stay in the caravan and loved watching the view of the creek with the changing tide. Really lovely in the sun when tide was in. We were very lucky with the weather so only spent the evenings in the van but if we had been in more would have made use of the books,videos and games available. I have never seen so many varied books outside a library! The gas cooker was excellent and large fridge and freezer was useful. The welcome pack of biscuits and bread and eggs and butter milk and drinks in fridge was very nice. We felt very comfortable and the space in the bedroom was excellent with a comfy ( if a bit high for my short legs) bed. If we visit Hayling again we will hope its available. We eventually sussed the best way to get the car in and out the space when there was another large car parked so will know for next time.

Bev gave us such lovely welcome treats. Place was lovely and homely. Everything in the caravan was better than home actually! Easy to walk around to the beach via off road as we didn’t have a car. Directions were great and close to all amenities and would highly recommend Paddle on the green in Milford for amazing coffee after a lovely walk. Definitely recommend this place to stay

James was good at communicating, and left clear instructions for everything. He also met us on arrival. The bungalow was as per the description and photos (please note that bed 3-twin room has drawer clothes storage but no hanging space). It's clean, light and airy. The bungalow was in a quiet location and yet close to amenities and a short walk to the beach. We had 3 cars between us and were easily able to fit them on the driveway. We would happily return!" I can't think of anything else that any potential guest would need to know above the information on Airbnb and reviews already left.

The house was very clean and tidy and felt homely and cosy. The village is beautiful and peaceful, just right if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing time. We had a wonderful stay here, we felt very welcome and after a stressful journey Jo was so kind and got the bungalow ready for us as quickly as possible so we could check in early. It’s such a lovely space, very cozy and well equipped. The views are beautiful and the garden was perfect for the doggies. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, we all slept so well. We had a lovely breakfast basket, treats for the doggies and Jo left me a card for my birthday. It’s a great location to explore, we would highly recommended staying here.
