It's a short 2 minute walk to the beach providing a great anchor for days at the beach, yet it's only a few miles from Santa Cruz. We're two minutes from a deli, restaurant, coffee shop, and corner store. Only a little bit further you can find many more restaurants, a grocery store, and Aptos Village. Ian and his brother Ryan were excellent hosts! They were extremely communicative, which I always very much appreciate. I loved the brightness of each room, one with a large window and the other with a french door to a spacious backyard. We felt very comfortable in the home and also loved the live plants in the kitchen area. The kitchen has nice pots and pans, a few spices to cook with, and all needed utensils. We always cook when we travel, so it was great to have all of these needs met! The beds were comfortable, and the couch was nice and cozy as well :) Great location too!

This place was nicer than the photos and absolutely perfect for a girls weekend. Everything was well equipped and labeled. The location was very quiet and peaceful with great access to a quiet beach. You definitely need a car as it's a little isolated but that added to the charm.

We had such a wonderful stay at Mariam's place! From the moment we booked, Mariam was incredibly kind and communicative, making sure we had everything we needed and answering any questions right away. The house was spotless and super cozy — the perfect size for our family of four and our two pups! It's in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood, just a short walk to the beach, which was a huge plus for us. Very well equipped kitchen, wonderfully comfortable beds and bedding, large spaces to gather for conversation and catching up, including comfortable, private outdoor spaces. Description was a little confusing, but we were delighted to find three full baths for the three bedrooms. I will recommend this lovely house to anyone who plans a trip to Carmel.

Location is fantastic - walkability to the boardwalk and the local park, which our two young kids used a few times during our short stay. The place was also clean and matched the description. The amenities, specifically the stocking of the kitchen and bathrooms was a bit lacking. For example, there are no paper products, except for toilet paper, and no coffee or tea. Communication and check in were easy.

Our overall experience at Perla’s place was great! I got all the information I needed to settle in on the Airbnb app. The lock codes were easy to use. Perla was very responsive and left clear instructions for us to feel right at home. This Airbnb is very clean, especially the kitchen, the bedrooms, and bathrooms. My adult son, my wife, and I enjoyed the very clean facilities. The beds were very comfortable. We had everything we needed to cook and eat our meals with beautiful cookware and environment. We enjoyed walking to the beautiful clean beach. We searched for fresh seafood and were pleased with the Sea Harvest fresh seafood market. Thank you for the coffee too.

Clean, well-appointed, spacious home less than a block from the beautiful Twin Lakes Beach. You can see the beach from chairs on the front lawn. We were lucky enough to be there during the lighted boat parade (first Saturday in December), so we watched the lighted boats in the water from the front yard. Everything was easily accessible. The home includes many amenities (washer/dryer, cooking supplies, games, pack n play). The room with the bunk beds has a separate bathroom, making it really nice for families with older kids. Great stay and I hope we can return.

Steve's place was awesome. Close to the beach, a rooftop deck, and plenty of room for all of us to sleep and hang out. Kitchen had everything we could have needed, and the hot tub was a nice treat at the end of the day. We appreciated having a couple beach cruisers available to ride down to one of the nearby beaches in the evenings.
