Vacation rentals with a kayak in Louisa County

Samantha and Andrew’s home was a great place right on the water. The kitchen was well stocked, there were lots of places for people to sleep, and all the beds were very comfortable. The dock is well taken care of and the kayaks were a nice bonus.

Love Andrews place! If anything I'm hesitant to cross pollinate only since we'll always want to come back every year and want it all to ourselves! Planning to extend our stay next year! Good times all weekend on the lake and off. Incredible space for outdoor activities and the most comfortable house at that. Thanks for everything!

As a group of 12 ( adults + kids) the place was perfect for us. We absolutely enjoyed our time at this beautiful home especially the backyard views with the lake were very peaceful.

We had such a great vacation in Lake Anna. This was the perfect spot; nestled in a cove surrounded by mature trees with a breathtaking view out over the lake. What a beautiful area. Every day we seen deer and bunnies:) Wrap around decks. The layout of this house is amazing for a family- so many cozy spots and comfy lounge furniture. The kitchen is incredible. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. The house was even decorated with a Christmas tree for us:) Beth was super nice and very responsive with any questions we had. We can't wait to go back.

The place is very nice. Kitchen was fully stocked. The house had everything for everyone - 3 full baths, jacuzzi, pool table, and arcades were great! We also enjoyed beach toys, badminton, multiple balks, and kayaks. 3 fridges were awesome to keep water and drinks. The golf cart was very helpful, especially for our elderly parents as the lake is a long walk away. We also enjoyed the deck table and chairs for dinner and breakfasts.

Scott's place is nestled at the end of a quiet cove and offers a beautiful view of the lake, along with easy access. We thoroughly enjoyed the house, which was comfortable, clean, nicely constructed and decorated and had a kitchen that allowed us to cook some great meals! The firepit was perfect for sitting by the lake and watching the sun go down. Scott was easy to reach, personable and always responsive. We can't think of a thing we would want to change!

I had my bachelorette weekend here with 10 girls and had the best time. The house is way larger than it looks- so many bedrooms and bathrooms. The screened in porch was such a nice place to eat meals and not worry about the bugs. We enjoyed the grill and the hot tub (which was clean) as well! The water was warm and we could go stick our toes in at the small beach at the end of the yard. We toasted smores at the firepit. The beds were all extremely comfortable and we all slept great. However one of the best parts was booking a boat ride with the hosts- they took us around the lake and we stopped at a place for lunch and it was just the best day. I highly recommend this place for a group trip getaway, we were very impressed :)

An amazing stay for our group! It was a beautiful and peaceful environ and the house and local neighborhood had some fantastic amenities and perks that we were fully encouraged to enjoy and take advantage of. We had a full group of 8 people and and it was perfect for our needs.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The cottage is completely remodeled and provides a great space for a small family to interact and enjoy the lake. We had a mix of cooking on the Blackstone/kitchen and eating at some of the local restaurants on the lake. Christine and her husband were very friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful week on the lake. We used paddleboards and rented boats and wave runners from the local marinas. Smores by the fire pit were a bonus!

We really enjoyed staying at this Lake Anna house and recommend it! The house sits on a small cove off the lake, and they have kayaks and a canoe, along with several life jackets. You can set the boats in the water and paddle off right away. This isn't a part of the lake where you can swim, unfortunately, but it is not far from places where you can swim. Putt putt, ice cream, lake rental, and a seafood restaurant are a short (less than 10 minutes) kayak ride away or just a 2-3 minute drive. There was a nest of red-tailed hawks in one of the front trees, which was very cool to watch. The yard is sloped down to the water, so very fun for running and playing, but don't bring a soccer ball or it will end up in the lake(!). Note that the bedroom with the bunk beds (in the basement) is directly off the big basement bedroom, so you have to go through that bedroom to get to the bunk beds. (Was only a minor issue when kiddos got up early and were noisy.) Kitchen was big and well appointed!

Staying at this Airbnb was an absolute delight. The spotless home and comfortable space felt like a home away from home. Scott, an exceptional host, provided fantastic local recommendations, making my trip even more enjoyable. The smooth check-in and the readily available amenities added to the convenience. The ideal location on the lake offered a peaceful retreat. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. !

The house was perfect for our stay. There were plenty of restaurants and a grocery store nearby. The beds and linens made for a restful night sleep after a busy day.

This home was a dream come true for our getaway! It is in a very ideal location and not too close to your neighbors. We loved the house amenities - the pool table and hot tub were used most by our family. The king beds were the most comfortable mattresses we'd ever slept on and the pillows were great too! The kitchen was a great size for hosting all 10 of us and the living room furniture was comfortable. We loved getting in the lake and it felt fairly clean. We especially loved the water being warm and see through. Having the kayak and paddleboards made it extra special. Be aware that there can be a lot of boat traffic on busy weekends (to be expected) and it will result in quite a few large waves in your swimming area. My toddler loved playing in the sand and looking at the fish from the boathouse dock. We'd rent from Daniel anytime we are in Lake Anna. He was always helpful and responsive 24/7. We appreciated having a caring host and he made our stay extra special.

Absolutely beautiful. Fresh eggs when I arrived and an offer for more later. So friendly and attentive. They gave me exactly what I wanted. I am a private person, living by myself, and whenever they had to fix a fence or do something anywhere near the property, they would let me know. Yet, I know if I had been one of those people who wanted to be out and chatting, they would have welcomed me to come over and socialize. Very accommodating and helpful. My stay was a dream and I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone, especially someone with pets or kids. It was a dream.

We had such a wonderful getaway! We thoroughly enjoyed the kayak and pedal boat. The house is beautifully located with so many opportunities for amazing lane views.

Michael and Ashleigh were wonderful hosts and our stay was fantastic. The cottage is perfect, has all the amenities. The property is private and peaceful. The lake is perfect for swimming, the farm animals are the sweetest, and the trails were great for runs with our dog! We had such a special time and can’t wait to come again. Unforgettable! Cozy, comfortable cabin in a beautiful location — and convenient to lots of things to do. Friendly and responsive host with clear instructions. Great base for events like a UVA football weekend (what I was doing this weekend — though the setting amongst the changing leaves was an added bonus). I will use this cabin again.

We booked a last minute trip to VA and were so glad to have found this space. Weather was perfect, and the amenities were fantastic and very kid-friendly. Many activities had a nominal fee to participate, but well-worth it. They were transparent about any issues (like not having smart TV or a working landline phone to the resort front desk), and also worked to provide anything that might have been missing from the space - be it laundry detergent etc. Would have been even better if there were some household stock items in the pantry - salt/pepper, cooking oil, water filter for drinking water, dryer-sheets/dryer balls for the dryer. But those were very minor things - - overall, it was a wonderful stay for our little family.

We had an amazing weekend trip here, the food at Mac’s in the lodge was THE BEST food we have had in a long time. Our cabin was very nice and very clean!
