Cottage vacation rentals in Long Lake Township

We had an amazing time at Salma’s big beautiful cottage! It’s like something out of a dream. The cottage itself is very beautifully designed with lots of wooden features & accents both within the interior and exterior. We fell in love with its beauty. It’s super spacious inside and has everything you need for a dreamy cottage weekend. The outdoor hot tub with string lights were a very cute touch! The large property is nestled within a lovely outdoor wooded area that feels far away from busy life but is actually only 15-20 minutes away from most local Traverse city places! So it makes for a great location that is best of both worlds. The cottage was very clean and it was very easy to spend the day lounging around in and then enjoy its cozy nature in the evenings. Salma was very kind and easy to communicate with! She was a wonderful host. We really loved staying here and would love to return someday. This is a true one of kind gem and I’m sure you’d make some wonderful memories here too.

Omg, I don’t have the words for how awesome this place is. First, it is exactly what you see in the pictures and more. Second, it’s not far from anything and third, it’s so peaceful. I could get lost in pure bliss there. Weather I was in the hot tub, the porch, at the table on the deck, the fire pit, the dock, or even just sitting on the beach collecting rocks. Absolute Heaven. I’ve even told the rest of my family that next time we go to Michigan, we’re going to Traverse City and we’re staying at this house. Absolutely amazing. Thank you so much. Thank you!

We stayed at this awesome cottage in northern Michigan for a golf trip with four guys, and it couldn’t have been better. The Airbnb is set on a ton of land—super peaceful and private, perfect for unwinding after long days on the course. The place was spotless, well-stocked, and everything was easy to navigate. One of the biggest highlights was the hot tub—absolutely clutch after walking 18+ holes each day. The host made everything simple with great communication and clear instructions from start to finish. It was one of those stays where everything just worked, which let us fully relax and enjoy the trip. Highly recommend this spot if you’re planning a golf getaway or just want a quiet place to chill with friends.

A wonderful stay in a charming, beautifully decorated real cottage. And a terrific Arnold Palmer designed golf course just down the road. Anna was so helpful. Looking forward to our return!

We really enjoyed staying at John’s cabin, I love fishing so being on the river and so close to good fishing trails was awesome. The cabin was very clean and nice and John provided everything you need which was awesome.

We had an amazing stay! The space was exactly as described - clean, stylish, and cozy. It was an ideal location, close enough to shops, restaurants, and trails, but still tucked away enough to feel private and peaceful. Would recommend!

We had a fantastic stay! The house was spotless, very comfortable, and in a perfect location—just minutes from restaurants, shops, and the lake. Stephanie and Bobby were incredibly easy to work with and had a thoughtfully organized book full of recommendations and options for just about anything you could need or want to do in the area. Highly recommend!

Cannot recommend this host and this property enough. Nathan was communicative while we were still looking at the property, and responded quickly through the rest of the process until check out. He provided great recommendations for local places to try out and we had a peaceful stay. The property was roomier than expected for the master and cozy for the spare rooms, and we especially loved the living room and outdoor furniture. So happy to have found this gem of a place and excited to come back in the future!

We absolutely loved our stay at lil gem, it was just far enough off the grid that allowed us to relax, but still let us explore michigan! Jeri was super helpful and responsive to all of our needs as well! Definitely the perfect spot for a peaceful romantic getaway! We’ll be back!

The rental was perfect. Just big enough for the 6 of us. We had all the amenities available and needed nothing. The grocery store was just up the road so we packed light. We also utilized the washer/dryer which was handy. On Saturdays, there is the Merritt Speedway. Good for a laugh and beer. Don't forget to visit Tastey Treat. Beach is groomed/sandy and clear water for swimming. I could go on! Thank you and we look forward to coming back!, The Westlake's

We really enjoyed our stay. When we first arrived, we wondered if we had picked the wrong location as it did not seem as close to things as we had thought, but after further investigation of the area, it was in a perfect spot. Hosts were very helpful and even flexible in changing the dates of our stay, and this pet friendly rental made it easy to travel with pets. The space was very clean and well stocked with things needed for the week. We would recommend this location to others. One of our favorite finds was the Three Trees Winery just up the road. It’s also in a great location to explore surrounding areas, like the Dune Climb at Sleeping Bear, Glen Arbor, Leland, Arcadia Bluffs Golf Course, and of course Traverse City. If you are trying to decide whether to visit the area and stay here, don’t hesitate (especially if traveling with pets).

We truly enjoyed our stay. The property was stunning! We wished for better weather to enjoy the kayaks and paddle boats, but that was nothing that could’ve been controlled. We did enjoy a fire in the pit. The lake view was beautiful. Jake was very pleasant and made sure we were taken care of. Thank you!

Ben was able to accommodate my last minute stay and I’m so appreciative! I was hoping to get away from the city and enjoy watching the lake with my partner and pup. We were obsessed with the sunroom, multiple board games/puzzle available, watching movies and just catching back up. The lake is still a bit chilly which worked for me because nobody else was out and about! It was such a peaceful, calming trip and I would definitely come back.

Meagan was a great host and reached out often to make sure we had everything we needed. The house was clean and spacious enough for the six of us plus our grand baby. The location was close to all the activities we had planned with scenic drives to all of them. We had a great weekend.

I wish I would have booked my stay for longer, and I had this place booked for two months. The privacy and views here and around, are unmatched and for the rates it is a no-brainer. There are trails within minutes and plenty of places to set off in a kayak or canoe. Lakes galore. Plenty of fun summer activities. The hosts were very kind and polite, and spoke to me like I was a person rather than a tenant for any amount of time. Best AirBnB experience I have ever had. Thank you guys. Hopefully I can make it back again sometime

Tom and Kent were fantastic hosts and the property and home itself were absolutely beautiful. I couldn’t ask for a better experience and would certainly recommend CC49 to anyone looking to stay in the area. The home was clean and comfortable, with amazing amenities. We had so much fun at the property that we hardly felt any need to go into town! Tom and Kent were more than accommodating when I asked about early check-in and Kent even brought extra kayaks without me having to ask. Overall outstanding!

Our stay at Little Skip Cottage was peaceful and just what we needed. A great little spot for two! The kitchen is well equipped for an Airbnb, which was great for us because we love to cook. The private beach and wooded surrounding are beautiful and the perfect environment to relax. Northport and Suttons Bay are not far at all for going out, getting groceries etc.

We were warmly greeted by Mark as we arrived. The cabin was immaculate, fully-stocked with all needed amenities, and very comfortable beds and living room and porch furniture. The lake view and surrounding area are so peaceful and picturesque. We enjoyed swimming in the lake and enjoying eating and reading on the porch. A perfect place to enjoy family and the beauty of Northern Michigan!

This villa was INCREDIBLE! You are surrounded by nature but are so close to the city. The location is perfect! the space was spotless and and fully equipped. The wifi was fast and the water pressure was great. Not to mention, there was plenty of hot water. Autumn was a fabulous host and made sure we had what we needed. I highly recommend staying here.

Our group really enjoyed our stay in Traverse City; we stayed Memorial Day weekend and a few of our guests ran the Bayshore Half Marathon and the house was perfect for our situation. It comfortably fit our group of 7 people, and there was ample space to park our 3 cars with plenty of room for more. The house was pristine upon check in with all the amenities you could need for a long weekend. We really enjoyed the games in the garage. Location was great with a short drive to downtown Traverse City, and we took advantage of a few of the great restaurant recommendations from the host throughout the weekend. I would stay here again without hesitation and recommend it to anyone who is heading to Traverse City!

Saying Charlie & his IMMACULATE cottage qualifies him as a "Super Host" is an understatement! We truly can't say enough good things about his communication, his beautiful home & location!ALL of our expectations were exceeded & we have never stayed in a cleaner place! My husband & I were with 2 other couples & we all brought our e-bikes. Having the lovely 18+ mile Tart Trail (that extends from Traverse City to Suttons Bay) & access to it from their side yard was a HUGE PLUS! Now let's talk about SOME of the ENDLESS things we enjoyed at Charlie's house-amazing & comfy bedding, linens & cushy carpet in the bedrooms, well equipped kitchen with SHARP knives for those of us who enjoy cooking/slicing & chopping, big screen TVs in all 3 bedrooms & family room of course, the fun game room - EVERYTHING looks brand new & matches-love the decor & all their comfortable furniture-so inviting! He even had a welcome basket of snacks & bottle of wine for us on arrival! The list is endless! TY Charlie!

Great place / location. Easy access to surrounding attractions. All as desribed in posting. Would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful cottage in a peaceful location but close enough to the city and to the peninsula to enjoy that as well. Shannon was a wonderful host and was responsive to our needs. The cottage was clean and comfortable, and we hope to come back and stay again for more fun along the river!
