Family-friendly vacation rentals in Long Barn

This cabin was perfect for our trip to Yosemite! 1hr/15 mins into the Valley, perfect distance if you can’t stay in the park. Groveland had everything we needed for our trip, and the cabin was so well stocked! Plenty of towels, extra pillows and blankets, and kitchen items. The deck was amazing and where our group of 9 spent most of our time! Overall 10/10 experience and would definitely recommend.

We’ve stayed at a more expensive house last year but more expensive is not always better! We’ve had a lovely, relaxing, and cozy stay at this place. The house featured everything that you could possibly need besides clothes and food, lots of spices and utensils provided, as well as the snack storage had great coffee. The hot tub is comfortable and powerful. Walked around the neighborhood and to the two nearest reservoirs.

We loved staying at Doug’s place! It was clean, comfortable and had all the listed amenities. The hot tub was amazing after a long day of hiking and running! Doug was very accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed our time!

Another great stay at Stew's place. I highly recommend. It is off a busy highway, but you wouldn't know it because it is secluded down below the businesses and is very private and quiet. Everything was very clean and lots to do with movies and games for the kids. The hot tub was so nice. It was very cool in the morning so that is a great way to warm up under the canopy of pine trees that surround the back deck. Definitely will be back for another stay.

I dont know where to start. The house the view, EVERYTHING was AMAZING!.This was an amazing place and Monique was so amazing as well. I had some last minute changes and she responded in a timeley manner and accommodated this unexpected change. It was 18 of us and we fit perfectly! Monique gave so much information on whats around, things to do and where to go eat. She took some stress off of this trip. Not to mention her binders that she has in the living room filled with information on how things work and check out instructions list as well was extremely helpful! The kids basically lived on the bottom floor where the arcade games, pool table, ping pong table and jacuzzi are located. They had so much fun down there! Its a quiet neighborhood but everyone around is so nice. The firepit was perfect for the kids and adults. Once 10pm hit, we all headed back inside and watched netflix and played UNO. This was by far the best airbnb we have stayed at. The only negative thing I have to say

This cabin was everything we could have hoped for! Huge hot tub on a wraparound deck that had a fence so our dog could be outside but not free on the property. Wood burning furnace inside was a favorite feature for my husband and I. Our dog loved laying in front of the fire. 10/10 would recommend 🙂

Nice place.. The checkin process was very straight forward. All the checkin/checkout instructions were clear. This place has 15-20 picture frames of the host and their family members. It didn't bother me much; however other guests may find the place too personalized.

We had an amazing stay at Julie's cabin over the holiday weekend. It was so relaxing and to have the river right outside was so majestic and breathtaking. You have to see it in person to really appreciate the amazing views. Her cabin was just as described and had everything we needed. We felt right at home and the surrounding area was also very nice. Lots of hiking areas and nearby lake. We are already looking forward to coming back.

A great location for exploring the gold rush area, Highways 49, 108 and 4. Easy access, great for our dog, and a cozy place to spend the night

Bob and Polly’s home was truly one of the best places i’ve stayed at. It was comfortable, cozy and very peaceful. They had everything that you would need for your visit. Very close to the big trees park. There are a bunch of restaurants close by and a grocery store as well. I would highly recommend this home!

We took a four day weekend in Murphy's to relax, see the sites and attend the Watertower show at Brice Station Vineyard. I have to say this cottage is one of the best stays we've booked on Airbnb, anywhere. The interior was a spacious, well appointed, high vaulted and practically furnished living space with one bedroom, one bath, a living room and fully equipped kitchen. Secluded toward the back of a fenced in, lush and well maintained backyard, this place is also a very short walk to downtown and all it offers (restaurants, park, wine tasting, etc.). Dog friendly too, not just this place but Murphy's in general. We definitely recommend this place and look forward to a future stay.

Mickey's place is within easy walking or driving distance to our relatives whom we visit regularly. Just the type of place we need, beautiful in the foothills, quiet and peaceful, and accessible to grocery or other needs. Mickey was very accessible, thanks for everything, Mickey -- we'll be visiting again!

Bev and Rod are both exceptionally friendly and accomodating hosts. I had brought along a to-go dinner and bottle of wine; then it turned out that when I arrived Rod was at the BBQ making their dinner. So I was able to enjoy wonderful company with my evening meal - on their beautifully paved open patio surrounded by an amazing garden, while having someone with whom to share a glass or two of wine. The acommodations were also impressive, in what I learned is a former town bakery. My room for the night, its little kitchenette, and the bathroom, are without question professionally finished by a master craftsman, and decorated in an interesting artistic and unique welcoming manner. The little table in the bay window with a log hewn bench was especially fun. And a delightful side patio with a second private exit expanded their property's gardens to wonderfully enhance my experience staying here. Overall, I could not have wanted for a nicer stay.

I can’t say enough great things about Fred & Patricia’s home! My family and I were fortunate enough to be able to call Fred & Patrica’s place home for 30 days. It was amazing to be able to wake up with the amazing scenery and just a short drive or walk you can find a market and pizza! Everyone in the area was friendly. We absolutely loved it and hope to be able to visit again in the future!

we had a good time at this 2-bedroom 2-bathroom house inside a gated community, which is about 1 hour drive to Yosemite Valley. The host is very friendly and responsive.

Excellent stay in a clean, well-equipped home We thoroughly enjoyed our stay—the place was spotless, and the kitchen had everything we needed. One minor quibble: the coffee maker was tiny and could only brew two cups at a time, which was a bit inconvenient for our group. The location is fantastic—just about an hour’s drive to Yosemite National Park, making it an ideal base for exploring. The community was undergoing construction, and some roads were closed during our visit. We ended up waiting about 45 minutes to enter and pay the $50 entrance fee, which was frustrating. It’s worth asking the host for an update on access or checking ahead before booking.

Jeff and Gina were great hosts. Responsive and friendly. Close to Yosemite. The kids loved the game room, beds were comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with everything you’d need.

Beautiful home. We enjoyed two very peaceful days on Pine Mountain Lake. We were able to take the kayaks and SUP to the swimming beach several times. Kids loved the board games supplied in the house. Kitchen was well stocked with essentials. Grocery store nearby.

The geodome is a unique stay. The cabin was comfortable and and well-styled. An added bonus is that there's plastic kid-friendly bowls, plates, and cups so we didn't need to worry about our young ones breaking anything. The open layout was ideal for our family to socialize while cooking and there's a cute play area upstairs with toys for the kids. The neighborhood was quiet and we were able to soak in the stars a night next to the fire pit. Maria was super responsive to all of my messages (responded in a few minutes), which was helpful when I couldn't turn on the washer/dryer since the breaker had tripped. Maria helped me locate the electric panel to flip the breaker and there wasn't any further nuisance tripping. We enjoyed staying at Maria and Jared's geodome and would come back again!

Beautiful cabin in Arnold! Super cozy and every amenity you could need. My kids did not want to leave.

One-of-a-kind home (two of a kind, I guess, if you count the CO version) made an unforgettable experience for our family (5 adults, 3 kids and 2 pups)!! Thoughtful consideration seeped in every nook and cranny! 1) brilliant open layout strikes perfect balance between having a corner/plenty of room for everyone, yet still with a lovely sense of togetherness; 2) exceptionally well-equipped and spacious kitchen; 3) play closet with enough toys and board games to keep our 2yo toddler and pre-teen girls equally entertained; 4) winter gear to borrow -- sleds, snowshoes, etc. -- kids spent hours playing in the hill across the street (within sight from the cabin). In terms of virtually every amenity -- from quality kitchenware, comfy beds, toiletries, extra blankets, towels, spare friggin' batteries -- the Chesa Madrisa was a couple notches above what one should be able to reasonably expect from a vacation rental! Hillary was an absolute joy to communicate -- we can't wait to be back!
