Bliss Cottage is a secluded 18th century, one bedroom retreat set in 55 acres of Meadows and Woodlands. It is a part of the Knock Grena Highland Estate. This historic property was the home of Scottish explorer James Augustus Grant. Bliss cottage was added to the big house for the men to enjoy their after dinner whiskey and smoke. Dunaincroy farmhouse enjoys a unique setting on the Caledonian Canal midway between iconic Loch Ness and the town of Inverness (6 minutes either way.) Set in an historic Highland estate this secluded location has extensive, fully fenced gardens down to the canal and spectacular views to open countryside and the hills beyond. The wilderness of the highlands and yet only minutes from the amenities of a major town and nearby transport hubs. It is also a great starting point for the North 500.

The Poplars, Cawdor Road, NAIRN, Highland Region

The Poplars is a detached, fully equipped bungalow, set well back from the quiet B9090 road from Nairn to Cawdor. It looks out on to a front garden and farmland beyond that. There are three bedrooms, one en suite. The ensuite room has two single beds, but can be configured as a superking "zip and link" bed if required. The house can sleep 5 or 6 - but remember that one is a double bed! It may be possible to provide a child's cot - but please ask first. Privacy, with plenty parking space.

It’s perfectly situated as a base for exploring the highlands of Scotland, the fabulous beaches and places of interest around the Moray Firth, as well as being on the doorstep of the acclaimed Malt Whisky Trail. The Highland Capital of Inverness is only 20 minutes away.

The Coach House at Manse House

The property lies in the gardens of the Manse in central Tain.
