Dan y Coed means 'under the trees'. Our cottage has nestled under the wooded hillside of Tan yr Allt for 200 years. The cottage is on the outskirts of Llanidloes, a 10 minute walk to town. We pride ourselves on guest satisfaction and the cottage is equipped to a high standard. We welcome all people and well behaved pets (downstairs). With amazing views over the valley, you can just sit back and enjoy the natural world around you. If mountain biking is your thing, we are right on the Climachx Mountain Bike Trails and a stones throw from Dyfi Bike Park. There's lush river swimming spots, lakes, waterfalls and mountains to explore. Our nearest beach is Aberdyfi, just 30mins away. 16mins drive to the epic Cadair Idris!

Large hot tub available to use at an additional cost of £25 per day for your own use..... please let us know prior to arrival if you would like the tub, as we have to empty, clean, refill, balance chemicals and get it up to temperature ready for you. We are also approximately 1 mile away from Plas Dinam Country House. It has a fully equipped kitchen, king size bed and large comfortable chairs - perfect for a short break or longer holiday. In a quiet village setting with two pubs serving food within a two minutes walk of the cottage. Free wifi, smart TV’s in bedrooms. Until recently Red House Cottage was run as a B&B but the owners decided to fit a kitchen to create a self contained cottage for self catering holidays. The cottage is on the side of our home.
