The Little House Peaceful & self-contained

Located in the centre of the lovely village of Kilburn on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, the Little House is peaceful, cosy and self-contained, tucked away from the general hustle and bustle of the village. Cosy cottage located in the North York Moors National Park with gorgeous big skies! A super base for exploring castles, abbeys, villages and the Heritage coast. Spoilt for choice in eateries from great local pubs to Michelin starred restaurants all with a 10 mile radius. Many guests comment on how peaceful and calm their stay has been. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families with children and pets (one, well behaved dog only).

We had a great stay in Thirsk, Jodie was fantastic and the cottage was lovely, it had everything we needed and was in a quiet location. It was close to town, which had great restaurants and was also very close to Tesco and Lidl to grab the essentials. Would definitely recommend.

A home from home with a lovely view from the living room balcony doors. The setting is so peaceful but so close to the lovely town centre and great to have a parking space with the apartment. Lots of pubs, cafes and restaurants nearby. We would definitely come back!

Highly recommend for a chilled romantic getaway. Everything about the setup was perfect. Enjoyed Sunday lunch at a near by restaurant then relaxed back at the venue watching the sun go down with a cold glass. Later in the eve chilled by the fire pit. If you want a night away to recharge it's the perfect place. Many thanks again Catherine :)

The cottage was a true home from home. The lovely Photos and descriptions didn’t give it the justice it deserved, always a bonus when you arrive somewhere and it is better than expected. Private and peaceful location stunning view. Sonia and husband were amazing and friendly. They helped me plan my stay prior to arrival, had a lovely chat in person whilst at the property and went above and beyond for our checkout. We loved our welcome hamper of local produce, such a lovely added touch. We would recommend Sonia and the property and hope we can return in the future. Thank you

Fabulous. We stayed over Christmas and Jenny had put out tasteful Christmas decorations. The apartment was toasty warm, spacious for two and beautifully decorated. We appreciated the kind extras, milk, coffee and many more. We’ll be very happy to stay again.

The Grange is an ideal cottage for a family of four. It is located in a lovely corner of a delightful village. The open plan kitchen/dining /lounge area works very well and we were pleased to help inaugurate the new outdoor covered seating area. The owners were always available for help, whilst not being in any way intrusive. The cottage is a short walk to a nice pub with food and we took advantage of the Saturday morning mobile baker's delivery . This is certainly a place we would return to.
