I've stayed at a lot of Airbnb's - more than 30. So when I say Allison & David were the best hosts I've ever had, it means something. The day we arrived, they greeted us at the door, introduced us small and friendly chihuahuas, and showed us around the place. The interior was in amazing shape, especially for a 350 year old building! They had bread with homemade jam for us in the fridge (delicious) which we enjoyed over our 3 days there. Me and my travel companions loved chatting with them in the morning and getting local tips, including several restaurant recommendations. On a day where we had transportation issues, David was grabbing his keys to bring us down the road before we even had a chance to ask. The home was truly beautiful but the hosts really made the trip for us. I know we would love to come back if we ever have a chance.

We had a great time at Caroline and Gordon's! Our hosts were very warm and extremely attentive! The cottage is very comfortable: the sofa, armchairs, bedding are ideal for relaxing and resting. The house is full of charm and its cleanliness is impeccable. The garden is well equipped for a great time, nothing is missing! The cottage's environment is very peaceful, the setting is ideal for nature lovers. Many walks are possible, as well as fun activities in the cottage. We would highly recommend!!

Super welcome Beautiful countryside The cottage is very sspacious and whatever the weather there is plenty to do: walks, visits , discoveries... and of course the game room ( billiards airsocker, foosball...) and the activities on site: football, badminton/volleyball, small accobranche. We loved the fire in the stove and the decor touches for Christmas.... Thank you for this beautiful stay

Fantastic place, beautiful setting with direct access to the river and large pool. We had a very happy family holiday and were more than comfortable in the boat house with 2 adults and 2 small children. Great private patio area with loungers and bbq looking down to the river. Lovely hosts. Thanks!

We had a great time at Andrea's house. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. The house is tastefully decorated and comfortable to stay in. Andrea's explanations allow for a simple and self check-in. We had a pleasant time. I recommend it.

A great host who is really kind very informative. The welcome pack was very nice touch and very well thought out. The location is stunning. The rolling Hills beautiful sunset and sunrises no TV just nature really easy to find with a local supermarket 10 minutes away and another village 10 minutes away with a nice restaurant and bread store you have everything you need. Not that you want to leave 👌

We had a fantastic week at Aurore’s cottage. So many things stand out - the peaceful but still close enough to amenities location, the beautiful pool, the kitchen well equipped for self catering, the really comfortable beds, the beautiful views from the balcony in the bedroom and the pool, Aurore’s responsiveness and helpfulness. We very much hope to be back!

We had a lovely stay at Dimitri's. The sauna, hot tub and even the stove were very much appreciated given the bad weather. Dimitri was responsive to our requests. The staircase leading to the bedroom is indeed steep, you have to be careful when going down it in particular.

Catherine and Michel are available and very kind. We chose their outbuilding as part of the FIBD. Although a little out of the way, their cozy and warm accommodation was quite accessible using the buses (15 min from Angouleme train station) throughout the festival. A big thank you!

A very comfortable stay in a beautiful location. We stayed in the Terrace Apartment which was tastefully decorated, very clean and welcoming. The supplied cold water and milk were so helpful as it meant we could make an emergency cup of tea to start our day before heading to the supermarket! All toiletries and tea and coffee supplied! Would definitely stay again.

Gorgeous Gite in Dordogne, Private Pool & Fibre

The gite was lovely and Lynn and Nicola were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we had to leave after a few days because my elderly husband had banged his head on the low doorway (despite it being labelled as low), stunned him and cut his head open. In view of his history of subdural haematoma this was worrying. And then he missed the low step into the bedroom and went flying, injuring his hand and chin. We thought it too risky to stay on but this was our problem, not the gite's. We were really sorry to have to leave. The garden was ideal for our dogs. The neighbourhood was pretty, and historic with some nice walks. We enjoyed exploring the countryside. We would not hesitate to recommend the gite although perhaps not so much for people with limited mobility.

The exterior of the villa is framed by tall trees, providing shade and a natural ambiance. The house displays a warm, earthy color and a traditional roof. Open green space surrounds the property, creating a serene environment with clear skies in the background.

Ann was very available, and was very accommodating (especially on our arrival time, a thousand thanks for that) The accommodation is very large, we stayed at 14 (9 adults and 5 children) and we did not lack space (except maybe on the kitchen table in rainy weather) The exterior is huge, and great for the kids. The pool is large and its access is well secured. The game room with darts, ping, badminton... and the bike room with bike available are really a plus.

Raphaël is a very welcoming host and attentive to the care of guests. Raphael is also very responsive to requests during the stay. As a result, we had a great stay in Angouleme, especially since the accommodation is very good, spacious and clean. It corresponds in every respect to the description. We'll be happy to go back!
