We had a wonderful time at Emily's cottage. Everything was perfect and very cozy and clean. It was very easy to find and the instructions were very clear. We recommend it!

A beautiful house full of history and character

We loved our totally off-grid stay at Mill Big. Jennifer’s annex is the perfect place to switch off for a few days - really comfortable, well stocked with games, books, dvds, and with a full kitchen so proper cooking is possible. No internet meant lots of reading and relaxing, just what we wanted! The location is beautiful, and not hard to find. There’s a really good and big Centra less than 10 mins drive away (in a garage at Ballylickey) for getting supplies. Bantry Bay is just beautiful. The views are incredible, and there are lovely places to visit and walk, opportunities for kayaking etc. Our highlight was driving out to Dursey Island, which is about 90 mins. You take Ireland’s only cable car across the water to reach the island, which is an incredible place to explore on a nice day. Bantry is also really worth a visit - lots to do there in terms of walks and exploring. We’d love to come back to West Cork and would definitely try to book Jennifer’s annex as a base again.

We cannot put into words how much we enjoyed our time here. Our experience far exceeded what we paid for. The cottage had everything we needed and more; it felt just like home, if not better! The hosts were friendly, wonderful, resourceful and genuine, even with our young kids, 4 and 1 year old. They went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying our time. We all loved it so much, we want to make it our little spot - where we can retreat whenever possible to rest, find peace and recharge. We cannot recommend Kaye's Cottage highly enough. It's a gem!
