Once called Arbec, our small stone shepherd's hut served as a kitchen and dining room. It was there that the milk was transformed into cheese and bush, where the family gathered for the evening vigil with the neighbors ,and where social life was tied up.Tools,seeds, harvests ,were also stored in the arbec. The stones of this small building are full of history and the thickness of its walls offers a sense of protection, peace, conducive to rest.

We had a great time. Marie hosted us very well with plenty of advice and good tips. There were also several nice touches for us such as Easter chocolates and breakfast supplies. Magnificent views of the sea and the entire valley. The place is good for discovering the hinterland of Nice.

The cabanon is precious and in a great location for hopping on the easy-to-use coastal train. Anne Marie is truly welcoming and helpful. Very grateful that she picked us up from train station, as going up the hill with lots of luggage would be challenging. Great location, great hikes possible and via ferrata nearby. Bus connection to Nice. However, you should familiarize yourself with the timetable in advance. The hosts were very friendly and responded quickly and easily to questions/ambiguities. The house is really a tiny house and has everything you need including a nice quiet piece of garden, thanks to good weather we had more usable space. As a highlight, the hosts brought us fresh oranges from their garden, which sweetened our stay. We will be happy to come back!
