Our condo is located in the quaint little town of Cedar Key on the Gulf of Mexico. Cedar Key has lots to offer. Fishing. Boating. Shopping. Restaurants. Art boutiques. Small sunny islands that can be accessed by boats and kayaks. Our condo has a pool and hot tub and a boat wash area. There is a private dock on the intercostal that when the tide is right you can pull your boat right up to. Also Fish cleaning station. We have a BBQ grill and picnic tables available on the property.

The Tree House - amazing view!

We had a great stay. The Tree House was clean, well stocked, and very comfortable. The house is on a peaceful dead end street overlooking the gulf and Seahorse Key. The restaurants and shops are within walking or bicycle riding distance. We used the kayak to paddle around some mangroves. This was probably one of the most relaxing, restful vacations we have had in a long time. One evening there was a threat of bad weather and Cassandra notified us as to where the emergency power source and lighting was located. Thank goodness the storm blew over without incident but we appreciated the heads up. Even though the town has not completely recovered from hurricane Helene, there were enough restaurants and shops open to keep us busy, allow us to explore the island, enjoy the water, and relax at the house. We couldn’t have asked for a better vacay. Well, maybe a little less wind. It was brutal a couple days but it didn’t stop us.

Need to stay here when visiting Cedar Key! We stayed 2 nights and wished we had booked more. The home is beautifully furnished with comfort in mind. Everything you need to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing vacation. Sit on the sceened-in porch and watch the birds fly by and beautiful sunsets. Katie was wonderful and gave us tips on what was open in town. Hurricane Helene hit this lovely town, but the rebuilding is evident everywhere. We will definitely be back soon!

The Beach Shack is a cozy, comfortable, and impeccably clean place to stay. It has all the amenities you could need, and the location is unbeatable—just a short walk to downtown! We walked everywhere: shopping, dining, the marina, the park, and even the Art Festival. There’s plenty of parking, even for a truck and boat, which made things super convenient. The fishing was fantastic—we caught redfish and trout! Katie is a wonderful host—responsive, thoughtful, and full of great recommendations. We’ll definitely be back to stay at the Beach Shack again or one of her other properties she hosts. We highly recommend the Beach Shack!

It's wonderful to wake up to that view every day and be able to walk around Cedar Key... it's a really nice spot for a rejuvenating getaway. The pad does follow the Airbnb trend of minimal items in the kitchen, but there is drip coffee makings and cookware, dishes etc... Also the hallway lights are kinda bright so if you pack a beach blanket or something it could come in handy as a window blind. Cedar Key is worth the stay for scenic getaway and this was a good option for the stay. Be warned it isn't a white-sand beach spot and Cedar key is crippled by the hurricane in late '24. With no store it's a 10 min drive to a really well stocked Dollar General though for store items if needed. Good restaurants, cafes, and bars are open though. We made some other longer day trips to manatee swimming and horseback riding, but glad we stayed out on Cedar Key even if it added some drive time. Highly recommended!

Leslie was very responsive. The setting is private and the covered deck on rainy days wonderful to relax on. Leslie provided much appreciated extras like healthier cooking pans, sharp knives, a cutting board, and a medicine kit which are not usually provided in my years of experience. A word of caution apparently regarding airbnb policy. Check for potential price changes on your reservation Even IF you are subtracting something!!! Because I didn’t end up taking my dog with (deleting the pet fee), it changed my reservation and a $142.20 increase (county tax fee) was added! 😱

Kate’s home was perfect. My family and I just wanted a relaxing weekend near the water. We got that and some. Driving down to the airport and watching the planes take off was entertaining for all of us. Walking around town and eating ice cream was delicious. Awesome scented candles from the gift shops. We will be back‼️ Thank you for the hospitality Kate.
