The lake is fed by the crystal clear waters of the Rainbow Springs system and the dark tannin stained waters of the Withlacoochee River. Back in the 1930's, the water shed was dammed up on its far western edge. The result was a creation of a 12 mile long lake with a river twisting through the center, all of which you will enjoy from your waters edge dock. Ample parking in front of the house for at least 4 cars, can also accommodate boat trailers. Washer and Dryer on first floor. FYI there are stairs to climb.

Located in Rio Vista which has it’s own private gated 3 acre park on the Rainbow River! The park has bathrooms, pavilions, grills and a boat ramp - so BRING YOUR BOAT! Relax riverside at the private park where you can fish and swim. Park is five minute walk (2 blocks) from the home. Free for guest use are kayaks and paddle boards. They can be transported with the golf cart which has a hitch and kayak trailer. If your vehicle has a hitch you may to use it for other area destinations.

Enjoy an unobstructed view of the Gulf of Mexico from your front porch. Dock your boat behind the house on the canal that is a quick ride to the open Gulf. Sit on the large, shaded porch any time of day and watch the varied and vibrant wildlife frolic- Ospreys dive bombing for fish while eagles try to steal them! Pods of dolphins patrol the waters for mullet. The Treehouse is a spacious two-bedroom stilt home in the heart of Cedar Key, located just an hour west of Gainesville.
