The Writer's Retreat was a nice place to stay, and I'd gladly stay there again. It's not fancy or pristine, but it's clean and comfortable and pleasant all around, and the price is right. There was a problem with the front door lock keypad, and the owner came over within just a few minutes to fix it. The carpet and floor were a little dirty/worn, but that makes sense in a place that often has guests coming and going from the beach and other outdoor/water activities, because keeping a beach area place's carpet and floors spotless and new-looking would be an endless challenge. Owner was very pleasant, helpful, and proactive, and staying there was as easy as can be. It's a good place for a peaceful getaway that I'd recommend to friends and family.

Due to Hurricane Helene, Patricia was very proactive and had our reservation to another unit at the same location that was great. We appreciated her doing that for us and would stay with her again when her unit is back in order. We love Cedar Key!

Highly Recommend! Found this gem last minute for a spontaneous weekend get away with hubby. Amazing views!! The place was just adorable and we felt so comfortable right from the greeting by Sonya; She was delightful. Dace was on top of everything, and patient with me being somewhat new to AirBnB. I have to admit, the elevator did make me feel ritzy for a weekend too, loved that! I know hotels have them but it’s different in a house & going up 4 floors! Oh, and no need to stop at the Welcome Center before check in. Sonya & Dace have everything you need in a binder right there on the table! Super helpful & saved us a stop. lol We will 100% stay here again!

Great accommodations and great location. Room was super clean and had all you need. Nice balcony to sit and look over the beach area, and within walking distance to everything. Only recommendation is to provide clearer instructions to using the key pad if you have a late check in. Would definitely stay there again!

It's wonderful to wake up to that view every day and be able to walk around Cedar Key... it's a really nice spot for a rejuvenating getaway. The pad does follow the Airbnb trend of minimal items in the kitchen, but there is drip coffee makings and cookware, dishes etc... Also the hallway lights are kinda bright so if you pack a beach blanket or something it could come in handy as a window blind. Cedar Key is worth the stay for scenic getaway and this was a good option for the stay. Be warned it isn't a white-sand beach spot and Cedar key is crippled by the hurricane in late '24. With no store it's a 10 min drive to a really well stocked Dollar General though for store items if needed. Good restaurants, cafes, and bars are open though. We made some other longer day trips to manatee swimming and horseback riding, but glad we stayed out on Cedar Key even if it added some drive time. Highly recommended!

This place is truly a hidden gem. I will be staying here anytime I am in the area! Colin was excellent to work with, quick to respond and made the entire process effortless. Colin and his staff were extremely accommodating and no further than a call or message away the entire time. My weekend getaway was everything I hoped for and more thanks to Colin, the facility and the property. The home was cozy, well decorated, surprisingly even better than the pictures and fully stocked with anything we needed from toilet paper and trash bags to extra blankets and towels. The property was beautiful and very clean. The trees with Spanish moss set such a peaceful tone along with the fishing area at the water front that was just outside of our back door. The wildlife was fun to watch, various birds, squirrels and some pretty big bass. The place was so perfect we found no need to go out to eat and just cooked there. It felt like a private island full of character and natures beauty. 10 out of 10!

Great location very close to the river. We had a great stay and fun time on the river. The apartment was nice and clean. We loved the bathroom, kitchen. It was perfect for the two night getaway

Peaceful Oasis. We intentionally booked here because we knew the community was recovering from the 2024 hurricane. Heard amazing reviews about Cedar Key and it didn't disappoint. The community is strong in their recovery efforts and so appreciative of visitors. The locals are chill and very friendly. Enjoyed amazing seafood at Steamers (best chowder), delicious lattes/breakfast at the Prickly Palm (cutest vibe), incredible aerial views of the keys & Gulf of America (Cedar Key Island Air Tours/shout out to Pilot Bill!), beautiful sunsets at the point, and star gazing at night. Plenty to do in Cedar Key and walked to all of it. Did a few worthwhile day trips(Crystal River, Manatee State Park). Can't speak enough about our trip and HIGHLY recommend Creed's listing for two. Just as pristine as pictured and better. Amenities, linens, mattress, pillows and decor were high quality and very comfortable. The views from the private patio are the best around. 1000% would stay here again!

We had a fantastic stay! The place was exactly as described—clean, stylish, and super comfortable. The host was incredibly responsive and made check-in a breeze. It truly felt like a home away from home. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
