The Gardeners Cottage

StuartRating, 5 stars6 days ago
The vase of fresh flowers on the dining table, and the gifted fresh apple juice and cider from the Estate were a lovely surprise and made our birthday celebration feel even more special on arrival. The garden looked beautiful as we were drawn in to it by the incredible smell of the Sweet Pea flowers and roses that whirled around us as we wandered around the walled garden. All the gardeners were welcoming and happy to answer any questions we had and share the results of their hard work. We were lucky to enjoy a couple of the walks along public footpaths on the estate, and were grateful for the recommendation of a walk from the estate owner who we met by chance walking along the impressive driveway. We will definitely visit again to enjoy the peace and quiet where the only sound is the birdsong.
A tranquil scene showcases a historic stone building nestled among lush greenery. Reflections of bare trees and the structure are visible in the calm water, enhancing the serene atmosphere of the countryside.

2 bedrooms Annex near Hay on Wye

Lovely stay, near enough to Hay festival site for us to use as a base. Very nice bedrooms. The downstairs space was basic but had what we needed and we had fun around the kitchen table playing games in the evening. Thank you for your hospitality.

5 * The Cider Mill between Hereford and Hay on Wye

JoRating, 5 stars2 days ago
The Cider Mill is perfect for families and caters brilliantly for people with mobility issues. It is level access throughout (a small step at the front door and back French doors) with ensuite bathrooms in each of the 3 double rooms (there are baths and showers in At least 2 of the rooms). Bed linen is very good quality and the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and has a huge dining table. The garden is gorgeous and there is plenty of parking. Monnington on Wye is so beautiful and quiet (apart from bird song). Would highly recommend.

A great space for my guests to call home during their stay in Herefordshire. Sue was super helpful prior to booking, providing the what 3 words location is so helpful and brings you directly here. The accommodation is just superb, it was such a lovely place to be - spacious and clean and in beautiful grounds. Sue was also really helpful during the stay and was very responsive to questions/requests. Thanks so much Sue.

The Hayloft was a pleasure for my stay. Every aspect was as advertised or better. Really enjoyed the chairs outside the front door that allowed me to sit peacefully and download my day.

Upper Barn

FayRating, 5 starstoday
The setting of the property is what dreams are made of if you're after complete peace and quiet with beautiful surroundings. I booked the property to stay with a small group of girl friends to celebrate my 40th birthday. I can honestly say it exceeded my expectations. The property is lovely and spacious and well equipped with all you could need to be self sufficient for a few days. It was a welcome surprise to find milk in the fridge and ample tea, coffee and sugar. The views from the property are stunning and the peace and quiet - apart from a few neighbourly sheep - means you have complete privacy. There are footpaths right through the property gate, leading down past a lake or upward towards Arthur's Stone. The instructions that Sue had sent to us prior to arrival really helped us to locate the house in such a rural location. Hay-on-Wye was a short drive away where we were able to pick up a takeaway one evening as well as potter around during the day. I'd highly recommend!
