The perfect retreat for privacy, a beautiful small town and charming people -

We had a wonderful stay at Lorraine’s place! The accommodations were perfect for us and everything was clean and well-stocked. It was a nice private apartment above the garage and the shared deck was still private and inviting. It’s a short drive to many great restaurants, hiking trails and things to do or see. We will definitely be back to stay again!

Suzanne and her daughter Monroe a.k.a Sammy, made us feel welcomed and right at home the moment we pulled in. It felt like I was staying with family right from the beginning and through out our stay. Which made it super comfortable and easy going. Her farm is exactly what the pictures showed but even better because we were able to interact with all the little ducklings, chick's, gooses and goats. So if you're a kid at heart who loves animals this is the perfect place for you! The suite was clean and private. she offered complimentary drinks and snacks which came in handy for that late night snack attack. She recommended great restaurants and night life attractions along with fun activities for the day time such as tubing, kayaking,canoeing and swimming at shabbona lake. all of which were a mere 20 minutes or less away. the hot tub was really nice and big. we had an amazing time and will definitely be back. I highly recommend.
