14th Century Medieval Longhouse

Our cottage is the original dwelling in a beautiful Grade II, 14th century Medieval Longhouse. We live in the 'byre' end of the building - originally the 'cow shed' and are on hand for any help or advice - or perhaps a glass of wine... Note - Doorway beams are low and staircase is characteristically steep. Burrington is a beautiful and very quiet small hamlet 2.5 miles from Leintwardine (and the nearest shop and pubs), 5 miles from Ludlow and just a couple of miles from Mortimer Forest.

Station Cottage is a recently renovated Victorian railway building. Offering cosy accommodation for up to 4 guests, it is a perfect base for walking, cycling (road and off-road) or just for enjoying being surrounded by green spaces and fresh air. Situated in the small, but thriving, village of Bucknell, it is within walking distance of an excellent pub, a petrol station and butchers. Accommodation includes a living room with woodburning stove, private kitchen and bathroom.

Our eco house is a relaxed and comfortable place to stay in the beautiful & unspoilt Welsh Borders. We have a large garden growing most of our fruit & vegetables, our own chickens and provide free cider while stocks last. Please understand that we are a traditional bed and breakfast establishment. I know that the listing states that a whole flat or house is available, it is not. Unfortunately AirB&B insist that we put this otherwise it on will only list one bedroom.

It is a great place to relax or use as a base to explore the magnificent Herefordshire countryside. Ludlow with its medieval castle and markets and Leominster with its many antique shops are both close by. A maximum of 2 well behaved dogs are welcome downstairs.
