Houseboat vacation rentals in Leidsegracht

The houseboat itself is a dream and super well located, if on the one hand you love the beauty and tranquility of the countryside, sheep and green meadows on your doorstep but on the other hand also like to go to the beach or to the cities. The train is quickly reached and this is a big plus in the parking situation in Amsterdam. Leonora and Erwin were easy to reach and always there for us when we had questions. Super nice hosts! Thank you so much dear ones!

We thoroughly enjoyed a long weekend aboard Johan's houseboat, in a great location in the Jordaan! It was an experience simply not available in a hotel or B&B. We drank morning coffee and late afternoon cocktails on the deck whle soaking up the few remaining days of late summer sun. It was ideally located close to neighborhood restaurants, shops, and even weekend organic food and flea market, and a short walk to tourist attractions in the old city center. If not up for a longer walk along the canal to the museum quarter and beyond, a public transportation options were always available nearby. Communication prior to arrival and during our stay was proactive and prompt. The inside of the houseboat was even more spacious than we anticipated, and the beds were comfortable. We'll definitely opt for a stay here during our next visit to Amsterdam!

This was one of my favorite stays I have done on Airbnb. The location was amazing, I felt so close to everything but it was never too loud. Having the dining area/outdoor area to spend time on really added to our time in Amsterdam. Will return!!!!

I cannot recommend this boat enough. I wish I was back there right now! What a lovely surprise that it's even better than the photos. Extremely clean, excellent finish, very unique and an overall beautiful space. Location is lovely, a short walk to everything and easy tram access if you don't feel like walking. Leaving the best till last... Sietske is a wonderful and kind host. She couldn't do enough for us and made us feel extremely welcome. Thank you so much for helping make a big birthday even more special!!

Lovely home Perfect neighborhood to stay if touring Amsterdam Host extremely responsive to any of our needs

We absolutely loved our stay at Anouk’s place. It was extremely comfortable for 4 people and had a wonderful living space that felt comfortable and homely. We loved having access to the bikes and despite having inclement weather it was an easy ride to the wonderful Zaanse Schans and the old windmills. Quintessential Amsterdam! The jewel on the crown was when the rain finally stopped, we were able to experience the stunning canal view from the moored boat at the back. Unfortunately the weather hadn’t permitted us to use the boat to explore the other canals but it is definitely something we would love to do on a future visit. Anouk was fabulous at communicating and left comprehensive information for us to make the most of the area. We loved dining at her favourite restaurant and probably made our mark as we were leaving! (Another story!) Ha! We definitely caught the spirit of the place! Could not recommend this highly enough. Thanks for a fabulous stay 🙏🏽❤️

Henk’s place was perfect for the type of travel we enjoy. It was easily accessible to the bus that quickly brought you to the train station, would have been even easier on bikes. Mornings would double peaceful on the water, watching the bonded Geese and people taking a morning swim, sail and the occasional rowing team. We enjoyed a storm that moved through one evening. The space is precisely as described. Henk gave perfect directions of how to find it from the airport. Even when I was a complete clutz and dropped the house key in the water, he did not panic or give me grief but immediately hired a locksmith to fix the problem before we returned in the afternoon. Very responsive. The overall Noord neighborhood is perfect to escape to from the city but still be plenty close to enjoy anything wanted.

The most fun boat house ever! It had a great little dock that you could jump in the canal from. Micheal was great and very friendly. Very unique experience, definitely the best airbnb.

We were so lucky to be able to stay in such a beautiful place! The beds were comfy, the surroundings were peaceful and beautiful... it was a lovely escape from the busy, city-center. We LOVED the use of the kitchen and the deck just off the kitchen. Hein was so good to have bikes available for us. There is little available directly near the home but a 10 minute bike ride along the lovely road and over the bridge gets you to all you could want. We were sad to leave our Amsterdam home and will hope Hein's home is available when we return.

We, three friends, spent three beautiful days in the floating house. The furnishing is modern and the house is well equipped. The terrace is also great, but not for people with arachnophobia. When it comes to cleanliness, there is still some room for improvement, but we still felt very comfortable.

We felt very comfortable. Great nature everywhere, very quiet, swimming and especially an ideal starting point for bike tours. Restaurants and supermarket nearby. I'm sure we'll be back.

Fern’s houseboat was AMAZING! Hands down my favorite Airbnb ever. Interior was beautiful and well kept. Location was close to so many shops, restaurants and the tram. Fern was very helpful and always responsive. Pepper was easily my favorite part of the stay though 😊 🐈‍⬛ ❤️

Our stay at Claire’s place was nothing short of magical. The location is hard to beat in the heart of Jordaan, steps away from great Dutch cafes, every restaurant we ate at was within a ten minute walk, every one was fantastic. As well as minutes walk from transit. Somehow though being in the middle of everything, being on the water in this houseboat makes you feel like you’re in your own private oasis. Claire has great taste, her home is designed impeccably, with one of the major highlights being the record player, listening to classics like the Beatles, Bowie, The Doors while sitting on the back porch taking in the incredible view of the canal. Bonus was the most efficient washer dryer I used during my 3 week stay in Europe and the large dishwasher. Had we stayed longer, we would have cooked, there was a fully stocked Chefs kitchen. Thanks for the perfect end to our adventure!

Mandy’s place was exactly as described and was really well equipped - the sauna was a great bonus. It was really clean and the surrounding lake was a great place to take a break from the bustle of central Amsterdam, as well as the town of Aalsmeer having everything you need for a relaxing break. 10/10 wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

A lovely houseboat out of the busy fray of Amsterdam with easily accessible public transportation, cafes and restaurants. The birdlife on the canal was a pleasure, including 5 recently hatched baby coots. Liz gave us proper food to give the parents and we enjoyed watching them feed their offspring. Great break from museums and all the activities of Amsterdam.

What a great place! It is such an honor to be able to stay in a classical Amsterdam canal boat. You become part of the scene while you are enjoying the scene. The neighborhood is quiet and within walking distance of everything. There are great restaurants nearby and not far to the main museums. Patricia is a great host, and this place is a ‘traditional’ AirBnB in that this is her home that she moves out of to allow others to enjoy. In the heat we had during our stay she came and watered her outdoor plants, which we loved but did not pamper. She also shared some hidden gems of museums and restaurants that we would have missed. We would definitely stay here again.

The Nova Team space is a great and comfortable space, with all the necessary utensils for a good stay. We had an unforeseen event with the keys and were promptly helped. The host was always available.

I would highly recommend this airbnb. It was absolutely incredible. I was instantly transported into the Dutch fantasy staying on this gorgeous house boat. The bed was really comfy which is a big deal. The boat had the most insane views from every window. I feel like photos don’t do this place justice. It was quiet, peaceful, walking distance to everything. It felt very safe. The hosts were responsive. I would likely stay here again if I ever come back.

We loved this houseboat air bnb in Utrecht on the canal. Beautiful quiet street and very easy to get around in a great neighbourhood. The houseboat was pristine and Elizabeth thought of everything you would need. The beds were so comfortable and it was cosy. It was great to have a shower in each room and a washing machine too. Plus a drying rack for the clothes. We were very sad to leave. Thank you very much!

We loved staying at Robbert's! The houseboat exceeded our expectations, it was very modern and nicely decorated and perfectly equipped for an extended weekend. Check-in and check-out were super organized and above all we liked the easy communication. In addition, during our stay, the owner came by to check on things in strong winds and rain. We would love to come back soon!!

very helpful, very friendly, worth a stay. It takes a while to get to the center by public transport but I appreciated the calm surroundings which also shows a completely different side of Amsterdam one would usually not get to see

I reunited with my girlfriend and her son at Monique & Erwin’s sensational houseboat. The space was even more beautiful as described, impeccably clean, super cozy and had everything we needed. We all wanted to live there :-) The only thing I would have liked were cooling fans, as we just happened to be there on the first tropical day in 2025 and it was extremely hot in the two upstairs bedrooms for the one night , (warm nights don’t last long in the Netherlands) . Monique was a great communicator and provided helpful recommendations for local attractions , which were all made available in a booklet . Our favorite was the STRAAT museum near by, don’t miss it! We highly recommend this Airbnb in Amsterdam for an amazing family vacation or weekend getaway. Staying at the houseboat was a wonderful experience & we can’t wait to come back! The garden was also gorgeous and had beautiful lights at night .The location was quiet , and we loved relaxing by the canal . We are truly grateful.

A great houseboat in a great location, ideal for a short getaway with a city visit in Amsterdam. There were four of us and there was plenty of room and we found it very cozy. The houseboat has a beautiful roof terrace where you can look over the harbor and the sea.
