Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Leça da Palmeira

This was a lovely Airbnb for us with 5 adults and a baby. Nick was so friendly and gave great local recommendations. The neighbourhood is a short metro into the city centre, but had nice local cafes and restaurants and was very close to groceries.

Wonderful host, beautiful house and location. Could not have asked for a better spot to relax!

The accommodation is ideal for families or large groups, the house is located in a pleasant environment with easy parking, a 15-minute drive from Porto. I would highlight the kitchen, which was very spacious, and we had a fantastic time in the office with its large table and large windows overlooking the forest. The sofa area of the living room was more austere and we didn't change everything. The only thing to keep in mind about the kitchen is that there is no dishwasher or washing machine. The bathrooms are all very good, one on the ground floor and 2 on the first floor, one of them en suite, so the only catch is that there is only 1 bathroom for the rest of the 3 bedrooms + those in the attic since they do not have a bathroom, although it has a small sink and a vanity. The best room is the one with the en-suite bathroom, the rest have bad mattresses, especially the 2 90cm mattresses. Finally, I'd like to highlight the very kind treatment of Mr. Arthur, who was an excellent host, always very willing to help make our stay perfect.

A very quiet, rustic and rural setting. Sooooooo peaceful. Fantastic place to escape the city, get some rest and reconnect with nature. The outdoor, wood-heated bath was great, although it did seem a little decadent for just one person. Ideal for a couple. There is a river and Diogo (who is very friendly and very helpful) said he has a canoe. Although it was still quite cool in the mornings (early April), there is a wood-burner and an AC unit that also heats. The driveway is do-able but more for adventurous drivers. The village (Macieira da Maia) is very authentic and it is only about 10-15 min to the beach. Vila do Conde has a beautiful old-town. Many great beaches along the coast. Braga is only about 40 min, Oporto, about 20-30 min by car.

José was spectacular, the house has a very nice clean space.

The house is located by the sea (the beach is less than a 5-minute walk away) and overlooks a garden. We had a lovely stay there and were able to easily visit the surroundings (Gaia, Aveiro, Porto). Special mention for Hugo who is very available and provides good advice.

The apartment was cosy, clean and close to bars, restaurants and buses. Ubers came to apartment. Very reasonable. Beautiful views when you walk down to Main Street from the apartment. Would recommend xxx

Beautiful little house near the sea, a peaceful oasis. Restaurant behind with fresh fish, the owners are adorable. The space was very clean!

Very clean, large, functional apartment. Bruno is a very welcoming host. He picked us up from the metro, took the suitcases and 3 of us because we were 2 adults and our 4 children, which was not planned so nice surprise. Only small downside to the fairly busy road and the neighbor above who moves his furniture in the middle of the night with his dog that you can hear walking. Despite this, I highly recommend this place, very well located, a 5-minute walk from the beach. Vila do conde is a very beautiful city to visit and can be easily done on foot in 30 minutes. Our 5-year-old daughter also walked the 15 20 kms daily. We had a lovely week of vacation.

We stayed at Isabel and Paulo's apartment for 1 week, and the stay was great. The apartment is very well maintained and in a perfect location, with restaurants and shopping area very close by. Less than a 10-minute walk to the beach. But the best thing was the friendly and warm treatment by the hosts, who were charming. We would definitely stay here again! 100% recommended!

Gorgeous very atmospheric apartment in a chic neighborhood! The living room is tastefully decorated, the house has a lot of vintage items. At the same time, absolutely everything is functional. Three fully equipped bathrooms, large volume of shower gel. Very well equipped kitchen. There is absolutely everything you need for cooking, pots, pans, all the necessary details, there is even a blender, a coffee machine and coffee capsules. The apartment is very spacious and bright. The living room and dining room overlook the avenue, literally one block from the House of Music, and all bedrooms overlook the yard, so it's comfortable and quiet to sleep. Very nice comfortable beds and pillows. Communication with Tiago was pleasant, he was very detailed and answered quickly to messages. Check in was perfect, we didn't wait a minute! Also, Tiago sent us a detailed guide with recommendations. I am grateful to Tiago for her hospitality and I am very happy that we chose his beautiful home. And I hope to come back again!

My family of 4 ( 2 adults, 2teens) stayed at the manor house for 4 nights in April. What a unique house! Beautiful building right next to the Se cathedral - right in the heart of the city. Instructions were clear and we were able to store our luggage onsite prior to official check in. The home has an outstanding view and it is light, bright and airy with outstanding period charm. The beds were comfortable, water pressure good but the WiFi was glitchy. The owner was very responsive and went above and beyond when my son forgot his cell phone in the apartment after we checked out. The owner facilitated immediate retrieval which allowed us to catch our bus on time! It was much appreciated! I would recommend staying here!

We had such an amazing, relaxing stay at this beautiful home. The location could not be better, we watched the sun set every night from the balcony. The place itself is pristine, beautifully decorated and felt like home. We cannot say enough about this amazing place! Couldn’t recommend more and hope to go back one day!

We stayed for more than a week at Manuela's place and had a great time. Manuela and her son Daniel were very welcoming from the check-in till then end of the stay (thanks for the delicious port wine!). The house is better than the pictures - cozy living room, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and lovely garden ... with a hot tub! Porto old city is 20mins drive, Aveiro is 40mins and Douro Valley is around 1.20mins from the place. There is a lovely restaurant by the river around 500mts away. Steep down and uphill walk but amazing views and very good traditional Portugese food. Good to have own transport (you can park inside or on the street) but there is a bus stop just few feet away from the house (we didn't use it as we had our own car). Overall a lovely stay. Thanks Manuela and Daniel for hosting us!

Beautiful home in amazing location! Antonio’s place was incredible. More than enough space for family of 5 with really picturesque courtyards for enjoying the mild temperatures plus it was just across the street from the beach. The home was well-appointed, clean and had all we needed to make meals at home. It is a truly special place and Antonio was a wonderful, responsive host. We loved the restaurant he recommended. Can’t wait to come back again!

Had a great time in Marie’s place. She welcomed us really well sharing local places we could go to to shop or eat, and recommendation for Porto. Very easy to check in and flexible which was great. The house is very big with all amenities, and a very nice area by the swimming pool. Thanks again !

Manu is a very welcoming host, with plenty of good tips on sightseeing (cellars on the Douro...) and must-see places. Recommended without hesitation. The proposed accommodation is as described and has plenty of space (very well equipped and very clean)

The house was very lovely. Super clean and everything just like described. The view was beautiful. The city center is easy to reach by Uber. Clare was a lovely host. Very easy to reach and replied fast. She gave us a lot of great recommendations.

Absolutely beautiful venue!! There are no words. Communication beforehand was fab. Antonio was really helpful and booked us a sunrise yoga session for the day we left. He was responsive to questions & made sure everything was organised for us so that we could have the best time! Maria did the most amazing breakfast for us everyday. She even made sure I had a special gluten free basket of goodies! The venue was clean & had everything we needed. It wasn’t the greatest weather but Maria came in & put the log fire on for us, which was sooo cosy! Wish we could have stayed longer but had to get back for work. Thank you so much for making my friend’s celebratory weekend the BEST!!
