Haven of peace - the garden studio

The studio is located in Quartier Saint Catherine, the historic centre of the old fishing port of Honfleur. Just a short stroll away from the Vieux Bassin and its many bars and restaurants, it is also well placed for shopping and for visiting the town's museums and galleries. On arrival you pass through the entrance hall of my house to discover the studio tucked away at the end of a courtyard garden. The only sounds you will hear are the singing of the birds at dawn and their early evening chatter. A modern spacious room with high ceilings, it has a private shower room and a small kitchen area equipped with a microwave oven, fridge & ceramic hob for preparing light meals. There is a comfortable king size bed and a sitting area with armchairs, tv and dvd player. A single bed can be added for a third adult or child (at additional cost) and a baby cot is available. Its doors open onto a small private terrace, ideal for taking breakfast or relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening. The studio is self catering. All bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided as are tea and coffee, shower gel and shampoo. HONFLEUR AND THE REGION Honfleur has a superb market every Saturday selling seasonal fruIt and vegetables, local cheeses, oysters, country ham and free range poultry. The local beach is a 10 minute walk away and the well known resorts of Trouville and Deauville are 20 minutes by car. The D Day landing beaches, the Mont Saint Michel and Monet's house at Giverny are all within a couple of hour's drive of Honfleur. A few kilometers inland is the lovely, gentle rolling countryside of the 'Pays d'Auge' famous for its cider and Calvados production and for local cheeses such as Livarot, Pont l'Evèque and Camembert.

I enjoyed my stay a lot, being able to park nearby. The village is well located without the Pays d 'Auge and is one of the very pretty villages of France. Joëlle is particularly available and welcoming. I recommend it without reservation.

Marie Paule is a very gracious and responsive host. A spacious house and a quiet, shaded, welcoming garden that made it possible to successively receive my two daughters during this sunny weekend. We left the house an hour earlier to allow time for the preparations for the following tenants.

Excellent little house; very nice host, available. My kids had a great stay. Between the pool, the chévres, the horses, the great outdoors to play. (My kids went with their grandparents who loved it too!!!) Ideally located, 10/15 min from the beaches of Cabourg, Deauville but far enough away to not be in the crowds and therefore enjoy the calm. The place is even better than the photos. I know we'll be back again.

We had a pleasant stay at Laurent's place. He gave us advice and good addresses so that we could make the most of our stay in Le Havre. The cool water after our long drive was a plus! The accommodation is welcoming, intimate, extremely clean, and overlooks a beautiful garden. The bedding is extremely comfortable. Breakfast was perfect... Thank you to Laurent for this very pleasant stopover...

The stay was great in Christine and Patrick's lovely home. Patrick is guiding us to their home. We were hosted very well, the children were delighted to sleep in the mezzanine. The bed is very good and it's so nice to wake up with the sea view. We enjoyed breakfast, by the way I recommend Christine's flan, a delight. Thanks again, we had a pleasant stay.

Limor and Romain are super nice, responsive, caring and beyond. We've never had such thoughtful and close hosts! Always ready to help us with all our requests. The place is really fabulous, the view as pictured. We all slept very well and loved the little shop with some "local products" in the house's storage room. Walking around the house is not easy, but by car, everything is really very close. The bike rental perfectly organized by Limor for us, allowed us to explore the surroundings (be careful of the hills of course ;-) Thanks! We'll be there again

We spent a superb week in this typical Norman house, full of charm, warm and very well equipped. Very nice large garden, with beautiful terrace on an unobstructed view and not overlooked, with jacuzzi (perfect at the end of the day to relax). The house is quiet, out of sight and noise, but close to the center of Villers Sur Mer...very well placed to discover Cabourg, Deauville or Honfleur. Vincent, the owner we met when we checked out, is charming, thoughtful, and thoughtful. We highly recommend and will be happy to return.

Domaine des Horizons is a haven of peace, nestled on the beautiful Alabaster coast in Normandy, with stunning views of the famous cliffs of Étretat. Estelle, the owner, puts all her heart and passion for the region into it. The estate is ideally located, just steps from the cliffs, within the walls of the old village school hall. She renovated this Norman house with great care and taste: the accommodations are bright, elegantly decorated and impeccable. It is the perfect place to recharge, rest, or enjoy long walks (or even good runs for the more sporty) along the customs trail/ GR21. The place is also perfect for weekends with friends or family gatherings. Estelle is attentive and always ready to welcome new projects. She loves this place deeply and wants to make it live to the fullest. Come and enjoy it soon!
