The stay was very pleasant, the house perfectly matches the description provided in the listing. The area is splendid, although the weather conditions were not favorable for long walks. We will definitely be back when the sun is out. In addition, if you are traveling with your small dogs, a pleasant walk to consider is the chemin du lavoir in Montans, lasting about an hour to an hour and a half, ideal for both dogs and their owners.

Jean Pierre and his wife were great hosts! Small touches with some local products as soon as we arrived, a magnificent home in a more than perfect environment... everything is provided in this accommodation. It's a great place to meet with family. All 6 of us were won over by this cottage that we recommend 200%. Ideally located just 10 km from Albi. Thanks a lot to Jean Pierre and his wife.

We are delighted with our stay with my daughter. Yvonne is a really lovely and caring host. The site is very beautiful and very quiet and the presence of horses adds to the atmosphere that reigns in the area. Breakfast was excellent and his little dog really very funny😊. I celebrated my 30th birthday with several friends at Philippe's, the place is great with the pool and the large grounds. Philippe is very responsive, friendly and flexible on check-in and checkout times. I would highly recommend it!

We had a truly memorable stay at Karen and Laka’s beautiful home in the peaceful village of Varen, France. The location is ideal for exploring some of the most charming towns in the region - Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, Najac, Cordes-sur-Ciel, Albi, and more are all within easy reach. The property itself is thoughtfully appointed, with a lovely private patio garden that opens up to a breathtaking meadow. The swimming pool is perfectly positioned to take in sweeping views of the countryside, forest, and even the village church tower - it’s the kind of peaceful backdrop that invites deep relaxation. Karen and Laka are warm, welcoming hosts who instantly make you feel at home. They offered fantastic local tips and recommendations, clearly sharing a strong connection to their community. Their genuine hospitality made the experience feel less like a rental and more like a second home. 10/10 we’d love to return and highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for an authentic French break.

We had an absolutely perfect stay! The accommodation was as described, very clean, comfortable and good location. Quiet place, close to everything to visit (Cordes sur ciel, Castres, Passerelle de Mazamet, Albi, Sidobre..... The host was extremely welcoming, responsive, which really made the experience even better. I highly recommend this place and will not hesitate to return on a future visit.

Great welcome, small welcome gift, with all the basic necessities. Apartment ideally located for visiting the beautiful city of Albi. If the traffic is quite heavy during the day, it is very quiet at night. We recommend this apartment, not too far from the center and pretty villages nearby.

Thank you for a really great stay. The home is literally accessed from a beautiful cloister. All within walking distance. The apartment is beautifully decorated, the bed is comfortable (firm mattress) and the double glazing cuts off the outside sounds. It feels like the host put a lot of heart into their home. Everything was there to make our stay at Yves' as pleasant as possible: An impeccable cottage in a superb nearby setting placed in an enchanting landscape; a calm and a silence appreciated. Stunning property in beautiful isolation, with woodland, wild garden areas and babbling stream - but close to pretty small villages and Carcassonne only 1/2 hour away with large supermarkets for a “big” shop. Very easy to settle in to a very relaxing holiday. Our host has a family house renovated sympathetically full of character and personal effects. 3 good sized bedrooms, though only one toilet on the bedroom floor. Huge living room with fantastic views - ditto the kitchen, which is well stocked. We met Guillaume whilst mowing his vast area of grass - absolutely charming and he was very helpful and responsive throughout. Some toys, cot and a stair gate for our toddler grandson! We absolutely loved it - a joy and a privilege to experience this unique property. PS NOT for people with mobility problems. We absolutely loved it!

The Castrum is very charming, pleasant and quiet. All the essentials for a pleasant stay are present. The accommodation is very clean with a warm welcome.

It is a great place in nature and calm, the only noises are the cars on the other side of the Tarn. We - a couple - spent 6 nights at the castle in a studio. Also, a friend was with us for 2 nights. The studio is well-equipped with everything you need and with nice details like pockets next to the large bed (shelf, phone etc.). Alexandra and Liza are very nice. They live upstairs with their 2 children, their entrance is on the other side of the building, so we were completely on our own. Nevertheless, they were always reachable to answer our questions or to fill the bottles of vinegar and oil. Activities: Swimming, kayaking 50 m away, many hiking trails. Visit Albi and Toulouse. Subordinate points: - The studio was wet. The owners have already taken action. - At first there are a lot of flies in the area, no one's fault. A big thank you to both of you!!
