We enjoyed a fantastic four days in Aris’ place, the views of the plateau and mountains are just beautiful! We felt right at home, and it was lovely to have Aris and his wife physically there at check in, a rarity these days! The images really don’t do this place justice, it is up some winding roads but we were prepared for that having visited the plateau in 2012. We can’t recommend staying here more, we really wish we’d have booked a longer stay! Aris had a fantastic hire car recommendation too, which was also great, and we had some amazing recommendations from them too. Thank you very much Aris!

Pasiphae House was something out of a dream! It was beautifully designed in the traditional Crete Village homes style. The location is isolate in the mountains, but amongst a great community of people. We were greeted by Yianna and Koula that gave us the walk through of the house, and we're always in constant communication. Ioanna supplied us with a long list of things to do and try in the area which we took full advantage of. Overall it was a beautiful stay and would highly recommend.

Everything is very well maintained - the location within walking distance to the beach is unbeatable. Friendly welcome from the host, highly recommended!

The home was so peaceful, quiet, and super close to Knossos. We appreciated being able to walk over right when it opened to beat the crowds. Nikoleta was super communicative and we had no trouble finding the house. I only wish we could have stayed longer - their house is truly magical!

We had a great time at Pinelopi's relaxing apartment by the beach! She gave us lots of great suggestions of places to visit and was very kinda and friendly. There are lots of great beaches nearby. We enjoyed meeting Toby the dog and having Sissi the cat hang out with us each morning. thank you again!

We spent a peaceful week in Sifis's house. The house, nestled among olive trees and overlooking Sitia and the sea, is as shown in the photos. It is very comfortable and perfectly equipped. We received a warm welcome, including a delicious homemade cake and raki. While a car is essential, it allows you to reach the beaches and hiking spots in the eastern part in reasonable time (1 hour max). Supermarkets are a 10-minute drive away and the road is easy to navigate on this section. Communication with Pantelis and Despina was particularly smooth. Their recommendations and the personalized map with places of interest were very helpful. A more than successful stay if you want to experience authentic Crete, far from the tourist crowds.

As a couple staying here, we can recommend for a quiet and relaxing stay. Everything is as advertised: simple but clean. The terrace offers privacy and is surrounded by olive trees. Restaurants are on walking distance, as is the beach (20 min) if you can cope with the steep hill. As almost everywhere in Crete, a car comes in handy for any other trips.

A gem and a beautiful retreat in southern Crete. The villa has everything your heart desires, a beautiful view, pool and a modern kitchen that makes every heart of a hobby cook beat faster. I will miss the morning and evening bath in the pool with the view. Since it has almost no light pollution, you can see a starry sky and the Milky Way with the naked eye. Secluded beaches are easily accessible by car within 30 minutes, so a car is highly recommended. Doesn't have to be an SUV. Sam is available at any time and communicates very quickly. Furthermore, he or Lefteris are always available with tips and advice. Sam and Anel are more than super hosts and I can recommend their villa villa 200%.

We highly recommend this location. Beautiful accommodation with stunning surroundings. All the staff were delightful and nothing was too much trouble. The home cooked food was nothing short of fantastic. Particularly wonderful was the samples of traditional food (not on the menu) offering a real insight into local homemade dishes. The estate includes fruit trees, vegetables, walnut trees and much more. Guests are welcome to eat the fruit. A short walk takes you up into the pine forest, with shaded paths, local gardens and animals on route. Don’t pass up the opportunity to stay here!

Our stay at Mama La Roosa Villa was a dream. Petros was an outstanding host who went above and beyond to ensure that we had a relaxing stay in Agia Pelagia. The villa was stunning - it had gorgeous ocean views from every angle, beautiful landscaping, and a modern design with every amenity needed for our trip. The villa felt quiet, private, and safe. We enjoyed watching the sunrise each morning. We enjoyed the pool and backyard dining area so much that we decided to skip the beach! The warm hospitality from Petros is what made the stay - he arranged reservations at the best local restaurants and wineries. We felt that we were able to truly experience Greece thanks to our stay with Petros at Mama La Roosa Villa. We wish we could stay longer and can’t wait to return. Thank you Petros for an unforgettable experience!

The villa was fabulous with amazing sea and mountain views and so much more space (bigger than we expected). Very quiet which was what we wanted and so you need a car. Lovely beaches and tavernas not too far away. Host and house keeper were very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit.

We had a fantastic two nights stay at Vivi's who is a ever so positive and proactive host together with her lovely husband. She so much took care of our needs and "fed us like her children" :) The apartment is quietly situated and is a gem to all lovers of cats and dogs.

Had a wonderful stay here with our 2 year old. The villa was absolutely gorgeous with amazing views, especially upstairs. Pool was absolutely lovely. Hosts were really helpful and had great local recommendations.

Staying at Giannis’ place was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment I arrived, I felt completely taken care of—Giannis is hands down the most attentive and thoughtful host I’ve ever met. Always just a message away, he made sure everything ran smoothly, and I didn’t have to worry about a thing during my stay. The apartment itself is stunning—modern, spotless, and filled with natural light. My favorite part was the private balcony overlooking the sea. Waking up to those views every morning was pure magic. The location couldn’t be better for exploring the area—peaceful yet close to everything. If you rent a car, you’ll be perfectly positioned to discover all the gems of this part of the island. The apartment is ideally located in a quiet area facing the saltworks. Well-equipped, dishes, new washing machine, fridge, flat screen... it is in the middle of two other apartments. The first being rented by an extremely welcoming and helpful resident. Vasilis offered us homemade bread, family honey, lent us his snorkeling equipment and advised us on good local tips. Elsa is also extremely responsive, understanding, pleasant and friendly. It is possible to swim on a beautiful beach of large pebbles a 5-minute walk away (Paradisio Beach) or further on the peninsula. A big favorite for Kolokitah beach, crystal clear water, a shaded beach accessible by car or 30 minutes walk. We came at the end of October, a lot of restaurants were starting to close like the Paradisio Tavern nearby. The period is ideal with children as is the small closed courtyard in front of the apartment. You just have to watch out for the few steps and cacti.

The apartment is very nice, modern, clean and well furnished. There are all things you need, like an iron, hair dryer or washing machine. There is an oven. The bathroom is very well equipped. 10 minutes walk to the city center. 5 minutes drive to the shop. Driving here for the first time can be difficult because of the roads, so the first time I recommend being there before sunset to see everything clearly.

Highly recommend Jan’s gorgeous home. We witnessed some of our favorite sunsets here and the house itself is just a beauty. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen to cook up a great meal. It was also such a great location to a lot of areas we wanted to visit. Jan gave us a lot of recommendations and we ended up going to a few of the restaurants Jan sent us to! If you’re looking for a beautiful, private airbnb that is situated in a central place near all the beaches you’d likely go to, this is your spot!

Villa Vido is simply amazing- a dream place!! Surrounded by olive trees in a quiet area with an amazing view of Dia island Very comfortable place with all the amenities. We spent 9 days and loved our stay there. More than an AirBnB!!

Fantastic stay at this wonderful village house in beautiful peaceful Milatos, we cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough, exactly as pictured and described , host was amazing as was the delicious meal she left for our first night! Great amenities within house too. Great location to drive through mountains to elounda and agios Nikoliaos , we went straight south to beaches there too. All the restaurants on the front were amazing bar with no name fab through to Socrates so friendly and cheap €45 for two with wine . Old neighbour we sat and had a beer with although dialect was limited. Thank you again we will be back and telling everyone to come 🥰

We had a lovely stay at this house surrounded by olive trees and completely fenced and not overlooked. It was very convenient for our dogs, the place was well placed to go to the beaches 5 minutes away and excellent taverns which are specified in the small booklet made available to us.
