This cute white cottage with a thatched roof is like from a fairy tale book! As if you really live in authentic Giethoorn. (North) The boats can be rented from the neighbors and the beautiful bridges can be found only a 6-minute walk away. This is where Giethoorn originated, and the oldest houses along the path are located here. No crowds of tourists. (They’re in Giethoorn Zuid.) Here, you can still enjoy the wonderful tranquility and the beauty of the old village of Giethoorn. Unfortunately not suitable for infants/children from 0 to 8.

On colder days you can enjoy the wood stove. or take a lovely bath in the spacious bathroom. The house is located on the edge of the forest of the Drents-Friese Wold National Park, and within walking distance of the natural bathing water of the Canadameer. In this area you can enjoy walking and cycling, and there is plenty of space for sporting activities.

Guesthouse "De Cranvogel" The cozy log cabin can be found in the yard of a farmhouse and has its own driveway. Sheltered beneath a wooden embankment, you look out over the Fochtelooërveen and the beautiful garden. During the summer, the view may be obstructed by the growth of corn or other crops. The log cabin has a bedroom, a bathroom, and a living room, and can be heated with a wood-burning stove. You can make your own cup of coffee or tea in the log cabin.
