Vacation rentals with a kayak in Lakeshore

Just spent 10 great nights in the middle of May at this clean, renovated, and very bright farmhouse right on Lake Erie. Huge windows allowed ample natural light and the area is quiet/peaceful. Beds are very comfortable as is the living room area for relaxing. At night it was so wonderful to hear the waves while falling asleep. Kitchen was very well stocked, you just need to bring your own food/drinks. Enjoyed 10 days of birding at Point Pelee Nat. Park and Hillman Marsh and it was always nice to return to this comfy home on the lake at the end of each day. Becky, our host, was amazing and helpful, she always responded promptly to our inquiries. We would certainly return in the future.

This place is right on the water... very peaceful! We did not get a chance to kayak due to rain every day, even though we didn't get out, the views were spectacular. I did get a chance to fish right behnd the house, maybe thirty steps. I didn't catch anything but again the weather was bad. My wife and I really loved the drive in and drove the neighborhoods. I don't know if Tyler mentioned the Toledo Mudhen's minor league team is only a 15 minute drive. We caught a game and enjoyed the stadium. One other thing that Tyler mentioned, was a beach. We drove 20 minutes from the house, and it didn't disapoint. It is the Maumee State park, it has a huge lake beach and an Inland lake with it's own beach (great for little kids and open for fishing). We even saw a bald eagle.

We had the best weekend staying here! Would not hesitate to come back again in the future, definitely recommend!

Had a great time fishing Lake St Clair with friends. House was as described and host was very accommodating. We had room to park and charge our bass boat which was very helpful.

I have the best experience of my life at the lake house. It was my birthday and it’s always the coldest month of the year but this made it the best birthday Ive ever had. Beautiful inside and we spend to much time in the hot tub that was my highlight because I’m anemic and never felt warm and the beauty of the lake and lights at night was perfect.

Definitely one of our best stays at an airbnb! We loved the hot tub and the converted garage space. Kayaking on the lake was the best part of our stay. The surrounding area is also super nice and lots to do! Would recommend to anyone!

Carlo’s place was super clean, peaceful, and overall a really nice stay. The house smelled amazing as soon as we walked in, and everything was just as described. The jacuzzi was such a great touch perfect for relaxing. Instructions were clear and easy to follow, which made checking in and out smooth. Would definitely stay again!

Nicole’s place was the perfect getaway for a girls weekend, it had all the amenities you need and a beautiful location.

My family and I had a wonderful time! Sara was a very hospitable and attentive host. We will likely be back in the future.

Tom is a great host and pays attention to details. He is very helpful no matter your needs. The cottage is perfect if you want to get on the lake quickly or just hang out on the deck. The interior is clean and very comfortable. Tom provides some amenities that others don’t.

Creekside cottage is a quiet, peaceful place to relax and enjoy the calm and serenity of nature. The host's did a great job with the decor and ambiance of the place. It has a warm and welcoming feel to it. We stayed three nights and had a great time, (walk to the park, the beach, the bakery). This is one of the best vacation destinations out there. We found Paul's place to be cozy and clean. Amenities and furniture listed are all there, and in good working order. The lakeview from the photos are exactly that - unobstructed view out to the lake. The first day we were there the weather was quite rough, so the lake looked like something from a storm movie and it was very windy. The second night was much calmer, and our kids were able to go down to the private beach which they enjoyed a lot. The wind from the first night helped a bit with the bugs but the second night it was unbearable to go out at all. We searched and found it is a common thing for the area in May. Nevertheless didn't affect us had BBQ and hot tub earlier in the late afternoon, so plan accordingly if you are in the area around this time. There are additional off-site check-in and security deposit required, including uploading a copy of your driver's license to a 3-party site. I didn't like this part but they included this in their listing so we were aware.

I have stayed at many Air BnBs on the lake in this area for our annual ladies weekends away with my friends. This is by far my favourite location and property! I love that the house had all full size bedrooms and all were queen and a king size beds. This is preferred over bunk beds any day. Another plus every single bedroom had a ceiling fan , which was so appreciated by everyone. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need. It was a cool weekend but the heat worked beautifully in the home. The bathrooms were clean and again well stocked with toilet paper , towels and all amenities listed. It was easy to find and looks just like the pictures. Would stay here again and highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at Shannon’s cottage. We were at Point Pelee for birding and this was the perfect location. Everything was as described and we felt very comfortable. Thanks for a great week!

Although our trip was cut short due to a power outage in the area, Lexy was an amazing host and we will definitely come back! Great location, super nice place & Lexy was over the top accommodating. We really appreciated her transparency and helpfulness as we dealt with the power outage. We definitely will come back in the future to have the full experience!

This was such a special stay and I can't say enough positive things about Jerald's boathouse on the canal. I only had one night there and hated to leave. The photos don't do the space justice, with so many thoughtful touches, tremendous design, and deliciously comfortable furniture. I arrived to a family of geese with little geeselings swimming by and woke up to the sunrise over the water. I loved the quiet community of the canal, with a few boats quietly cruising by, and just wish I'd had time to take the canals out for a treat. Jerald was so helpful with check in and local recommendations. I loved everything about this beautiful little retreat!

Beautiful property, feels private and remote even though right off the highway. Unique mid-century modern decor/interior design — not your typical sterile, greige cookie cutter Airbnb! Responsive, friendly hosts. I stayed here over the Christmas holiday, and Matt went out of his way to salt/shovel the walkways/driveway the morning of Christmas Eve when it had snowed the previous night. Highly recommend, I would definitely stay here again!

Felt right at home in this 1940’s log cabin. Ryan and Tammy’s communication was very helpful before arrival of items they provided and check in process. The beds are not the most comfortable but good enough for us for two nights. Plenty of pillow options and linens. The cabin does have low doorways so if you’re tall you will have the urge to slouch inside. The house is nestled on a hill with plenty of trees that provide privacy and a secluded feel from the surrounding homes. The log cabin is unique to this very nice neighborhood as other homes are more traditional. We enjoyed coffee on the porch and spotted turkeys, deer along with plenty of birds, squirrels and chipmunks. It was a great cozy find. This was our first Airbnb experience and this stay encourages us to find another gem in the future.

To say we enjoyed our stay is an understatement! The cottage is so much larger and even more comfy than I anticipated! The space has two eating areas inside, as well as a large picnic table, Tiki Hut, expansive dock, and fire pit right outside your door. The space was very clean and had everything we needed for cooking and enjoying our stay. There are so many interesting books, games, and treasures to explore, such a unique space is hard to capture in photographs, but I think that is part of the magic. Coffee and tea on the dock in the morning was very peaceful and we have incredible memories of watching the many species of birds nesting in a protected migratory area right on the banks of the river just before sunset. We eat the freshest corn we have ever tasted, gifted to us by Maryann as well as many other small gifts that made the stay so chill and comfortable. Maryann and Brad are super friendly but also very respectful of your privacy. The perfect hosts and really good people.
