There are two parts to the cabin you can book, depending on the number of guests - up to 8 max (adults, children, infants). With 6 people or less you will have the main part of the cabin (living area, kitchen, 2 bdrm, 1 1/2 ba). If you want to add on the “Bunkhouse” (studio suite w/kitchenette, 3/4 BA, 2 beds) you MUST book for “8” people, which will be for both parts of the cabin. So LARGE & SPACIOUS! BEST location in Big Bear! SKI/IN-SKI/OUT thru Backyard. Shuttle to Snow Summit & Bear Mountain is just out the backdoor. The house in Balboa Island is a little gem. Super comfortable, warm (we had a couple of cool days), with everything we needed to feel at home (even a French coffeemaker and coffee grinder!). The rooms provided privacy (important when staying with three 18 years old women chatting and listening to music nonstop!) and we could do our laundry too. Ed was a magnificent host, responding immediately and offering good suggestions on the surroundings. The island is just gorgeous!

There were 6 of us staying at this property to celebrate my mom’s 70th birthday. My mom, and everyone else, absolutely fell in love with the place. The lake view was stunning, the rooms were super clean, comfortable, and perfect for the six of us. There was a little s’more welcome basket when we walked in, which was such a cute & nice touch! We all had the best weekend at Marilyn’s place and can’t wait to come back!

This cabin was located ideally right by a nice park by the lake. The neighborhood was quiet and the views were lovely. The home itself had everything you need to cook meals and entertain. It was also close to all the nearby grocery stores, restaurants and shopping. It had ample space and was very comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay! Jennifer was responsive and prompt, and provided great instructions. It’s a little bit confusing to park because you have to park in the back with a narrow driveway and then go up a few stairs to get to the house. But the location was peaceful, the big glass window view from the living room was amazing, and it was a short 5 minute drive to the village. The home was well-stocked, with all the basics we needed during our stay. We had a really nice, relaxing vacation.

We had great, memorable, quality time with the space from family meals to conversations. The location was less than 10mins drive to the beach. Would absolutely recommend this Airbnb and host!

First, Justin is an amazing host! Top notch in communication, very friendly and helpful. Justin was accommodating and proactive with both check in and check out. Second, the house is very comfy and inviting. The grounds are beautiful and the minute we walked into the backyard it felt perfect. Serene and peaceful, I spent every hour enjoying the view. We bought firewood in town and had fires going outside and inside. Absolutely the best part of each day. (If weather is chilly bring firewood! So worth it)! This is the second visit to one of Justin's properties and we will seek out his listings each time we revisit the area. I highly recommend this place for those wanting to step away from a busy, hectic life and fall into a quiet and calm existence if only for a few days.

This cabin was exactly how it was described, in a great neighborhood. We also rented the attached apartment and with 4 bathrooms between both areas, it was perfect for multiple families coming together for a cozy weekend of shopping, scenic walks, and game night. We cooked multiple meals here and I loved the appliances. Plenty of eating space for the 12 of us as well. With multiple levels, there was an area for everyone to excape the noice and put their feet up. I would love to come back here. Thanks Scott and Lupy for your quick responses!
