The Howard Street Home is an original Superintendent's residence built in 1859. HSH is an exclusive B&B with the most beautiful views distinguishing it from all other B&B's in Virginia City. Room #1: The Cartwright Room pays tribute to the famous, fictional family of four men who starred in the TV show "Bonanza" which is credited with reviving the town of Virginia City, Nevada and opening the town up to the tourist experience. This bedroom includes a private entrance, private bathroom with shower/tub, sink, and toilet. Awaken each morning to a beautiful sunrise view. This room exemplifies the American West, a land of legend, romance, friendship, loyalty and courage; a true BONANZA. Room #2: Mama's room is a tribute to our Mama, an immigrant from Belgium after WWII. Her European flair is exhibited with lavish colors, brass bed, period curtains, erotic statues, and photos of her heroines (Fashionista Coco Channel, Singer Edith Piaf, Entertainer Josephine Baker, and Hollywood actresses Clara Bow and Ana May Wong. This is a great couples retreat for 21 and older, no children or infants. I do live on the premises with my dog. Rustic river Rock wood burning fireplace with jacuzzi and magical backyard where bears have roamed. Hiking in the summer. Barbecue grill is available and firepit in backyard. Colorful aspen trees in backyard during the fall. You can snow shoe out the backyard or even cross-country ski. Only 5 miles from Heavenly Ski Resort, 6 miles from the casinos and 5 miles to the lake.
