Very nice accommodations. Beautiful and peaceful settings with very nice amenities. We had everything we needed and it was clean and property is situated on a peninsula which is lovely from every view. Highly recommended for a peaceful retreat.

I would definitely stay here again. Walking distance to Lake Mattoon marina and the small beach they have. Yard is a great relaxing area. Plenty of parking. Beds were comfortable, shower had plenty of water pressure and plenty of hot water.

We enjoyed a lovely family get together this weekend at Tranquil Waters Retreat. Kelly was a great host, who was very responsive to questions. The kitchen had what we needed, the beds were comfortable, and the house had plenty of space for our group of 12 to spread out and come together for a perfect weekend! We hope to return, maybe for more nights the next time!

We had a great time with our whole family. We loved the outdoor seating area. Plenty of space for all of us inside too. The views were amazing and we really enjoyed Lake Shelbyville.

The inside of the home was beautiful. The pool and deck was amazing. Kitchen and bathrooms stocked well. We would definitely go back! The only negatives are the landscape is very neglected The dock needs work. Maybe a little more flexibility on checking in earlier than 3pm. Otherwise the home is beautiful and we would stay again!

Lovely, peaceful location. Spacious and well furnished home. Comfy beds and bedding, plush bathroom towels. Erin was an accomodating host and replied quickly to our messages. Will definitely stay again.

We were a last minute booking because the previous place we booked was not fit to stay at. We were stressed and the owners immediately put us at ease. They were responsive with our questions. The house was beautiful and clean and looked just like the pictures. This place saved our weekend. Highly recommend this place!!

Our family was thrilled with this lake house! It was very functional and fit us perfectly—8 adults and 5 kids. Even though it rained every day we were there, the game room kept us entertained and we had all we needed to be comfortable. Easy access to grocery stores. Beautiful view of the lake with plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy it! We will be back!

Lauren's place is exactly as pictured and perfect location!! We had a fluke incident that no one could have predicted and Lauren took care of it immediately and was so sweet to work with! We loved our stay and highly recommend!

What a beautiful home! We only stayed one night but I wish we could e stayed a week! The house was spotless, the beds comfortable, and the backyard and dock were a hit with the kids. Blaine was very responsive to questions and was super helpful with everything. We loved it!

Renee was a great host with quick response time and provided added resources for what shelbyville had to offer. The house exceeded our expectations and we appreciated all the amenities that the house had to offer- will be recommending to other organizations to use for retreats!

Worked perfect for us for a family wedding event! Beautiful location on point with great lake views! Accommodations were great and as described. Living room furniture was new and very comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. Bedding and towels were very comfortable. Patio swing is fantastic! Patio table and fire pit got lots of use! Home included Pack-n-Play, which we needed. Two shortcomings, 1) no bath tub, two showers were very tight, and 2) decor needs some updating. Owner was very responsive and very flexible accommodating our early arrival.

This is a must stay! Super beautiful home with a great view of the lake. Lake access via 2 docks/a boat lift. We enjoyed the easter eggs hidden around the house;) and the welcome basket! Beds are very comfortable and they had hair dryers, laundry pods, etc. which you are likely to forget. We will be back!

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb while in town for our son's orientation and registration at Millikin University. The home was clean, nicely decorated, and had every comfort we needed for a relaxing few days. It felt like a peaceful retreat after busy campus events and a day at the golf course, and the location was incredibly convenient—just minutes from the university and anything else we needed. The host was responsive and made everything seamless from check-in to checkout. We especially appreciated the cozy touches and how well-stocked everything was. It was the perfect home base for such an important milestone for our family, and we’re hoping to book again when we come back to visit our son. Highly recommend to any Millikin families or anyone visiting the Decatur area!

What a cute place! You can tell love was put in with the cute touches. This was perfect for me, my mom and aunt. We were only here one night but was a perfect space for us. A lot of great staples for basic cooking (with some basic condiments) and coffee.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a wonderful stay with our two young kids at Brian’s beautiful home. The space was clean, comfortable, and incredibly peaceful which was a perfect escape from Chicago. Our kids especially loved the cozy little nook and loved the toys and books provided. There’s no TV or WiFi (as noted in the listing), but honestly, that turned out to be a huge plus. It gave us a rare chance to truly disconnect from the outside world and reconnect as a family. Brian was an amazing host, thoughtful and welcoming. The delicious protein balls that was left for us were such a kind touch! The air conditioner worked perfectly and kept the space very comfortable throughout our stay. We would absolutely love to come back. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and spend quality time together.
