Big beautiful place on the water. Plenty of room and privacy.

This place is amazing. The home its self is so cozy, and the master bed was so comfortable. The location is breathtaking. The water was very low and we were given a heads up before. But we didn’t let it stop us. Fishing was great. We enjoy a family of bald eagles each day and even got greeted every morning by the friendly neighborhood dogs. This place is just what we needed. Already looking to book for 3 more times next year!!! The pool was soo clear even though it was to cold to swim.

Great place to stay on the lake. House had everything it said it would and plenty of room to park boat trailers. Host were accommodating with check in/out.

You cannot ask for a better place to stay are a better host. They accommodated everything my fishing group needed and also offered extra parking for us would definitely recommend staying here to any one absolutely peaceful and a great time and the water access is so convenient when your fishing to just pull up and grab some lunch then get back on the water quickly.

I cannot say enough great things about "Shore Thing" and it's host Amy! From start to finish, Amy was an amazingly responsive and gracious host! She made sure we had everything we needed to make our vacation an incredible experience. Coming from someone who is in the "people business", I can always tell when someone takes pride in what they do. Amy is DEFINITELY one of those people! Everything in this place was clean, in order, and well-maintained. From the modern updated bathroom and kitchen appliances to the multitude of other amenities, "Shore Thing" is the best place we've ever stayed on Toledo Bend Lake! I HIGHLY recommend this property and especially it's host. Thank you again Amy and "Shore Thing" for making our vacation spectacular!

My family had a fantastic stay at Paradise on the lake. The home is beautiful and was very clean and very well taken care of. The kitchen was stocked with any and everything you could need. The beds were so comfortable. The bathrooms were well stocked with toiletries and towels and the AC works GREAT—which is a must in Southern Texas. Clint was very quick to reply. The home had a ton of indoor and outdoor games for adults and children. The view….breathtaking. We will most definitely be back.

The place was perfect for our group. Donna the owner was proactive in making sure we had a good check-in and had everything we need. The view was absolutely beautiful of the lake. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was updated and appliances were new. The property had so much room outside and we enjoyed our time around the fire pit. We will be booking this property again when we come next year!!

the home is in a rural location on the water. the water view is beautiful. we were very comfortable. this is a rustic home but very comfortable. there was lots of soap and paper towels, storage bags, ice.

Stayed here with some co workers for our company fishing tournament and it was perfect. We will definitely be going back next year.

The interior of this beautiful home was amazing. A lot of the historical charm was preserved along with newer updates to the kitchen and upstairs. The home is within walking distance to the downtown square. San Augustine is a charming little town. Bob and Cathy were very quick to respond to any questions I may have had during my stay. Also the courtyard was a good size and fully fenced in to allow my pups to roam freely and explore. I would stay here again if I’m ever traveling through SA in the future.

Great little place in a beautiful location & would definitely stay again! The couple minor issues & any questions were quickly responded to by the owner. Was not sure about going walking too much as there were several unleashed dogs & not sure how friendly. Road could use some work as a little rough. But again over all lovely stay & would rent again!

A very nice and cozy single wide, with all the amenities. The subdivision is very quiet and peaceful. All the people are extremely friendly. It has everything you need for a fishing trip or to just get away from the city.

Tina was so good to work with. We loved our stay. The place was so peaceful and relaxing. She had stocked spices, coffee, teas , creamer and all necessary cooking utensils. It looked new and new furniture. Our pups enjoyed being there too. I highly recommend Tina as host. She also has other places out there to rent. Loved our stay. Hate we just made it home.🥰🐟🐟🐟🐟

Beautiful, serene location with lots of outdoor space and a great view of the lake. Host was very helpful, responsive and friendly. Our family enjoyed our Christmas getaway weekend at Bob’s place and highly recommend it for any family gathering!
