Lake house vacation rentals in Lake Ossiach

We originally wanted to make this trip last autumn, but then my girlfriend got very sick so we couldn't travel there. Elizabeta was very kind to give us a full refund (thx to airbnb too for helping out there!) and allowed us to rebook this spring. Thx! We really enjoyed our stay there. It's deep inside the national park of Triglav, and you can basically start your hiking tours from your doorstep. You can also drive around in the national park and start out from different spots. The roads are mostly very good (though we also had very sunny weather, so that probably helped). It's probably a good idea to bring enough food with you. The house itself is very beautifully decorated, almost every inch you find something special. Especially the upper part of the house is quite low in height (and we're 1,90m/1,80m), but because we were basically out hiking all day and just slept and ate in the house, it was no problem. So, if you love nature, beauty and hiking, it's a very nice place to stay!

Arrived and felt right at home! The house is superbly divided and the rooms are functionally furnished. Heidi replaced a mattress that was no longer good within a day. It's great that we were allowed to use everything. We almost inflated the bike. Because there is only one bathroom and toilet on the first floor, you could often hear the stairs creaking loudly at night. For us house dust allergy sufferers, the many carpets, upholstery and pillows are not optimal, next time we will take medication, because we would very much like to come back. Many thanks also for the very friendly welcome and great hospitality!

The house is located in a village/campsite just a short walk from Lake Pressegger. Inside, in addition to the pool, there is a children's play area and a restaurant that also prepares great takeaway food. With an app you can order baked goods such as bread, brioches, etc... and find them in the morning in a common room. Access to a nearby spa is also included, and a card with which you can do many free activities, especially with kids/kids. The house was perfect for us (6 people) with a kitchen complete with everything and a nice porch where you can eat outdoors. Lake Pressegger is beautiful and very relaxing with a very well-equipped public beach. You can reach Villach in just over half anhour. We had a nice vacation, but to fully enjoy the place you have to stay much longer than the three days we were able to do!

Even though the place is small, everything is there and well packed. There are a lot of walking paths, ski gondola is only 15 minutes away... I can recommend it.

We had a great stay at this house. It's a very beautiful location next to Lake Jasna, its very traditional house although the bathroom is very modern. Having a sauna was an extra bonus Kranjska Gora were only 20 mins scenic walk away. There is so much to do in this location. Highly recommended.

A really great place right on the lake. There were many excursions very close by. Nevertheless, we spent a lot of time in the garden of the property, as it is located directly on the lake and you can swim wonderfully. Markus is a nice, reliable and very relaxed host. Thank you

We felt very comfortable with the entire family (4 people+ 1 dog) in the cottage. Child/ animal friendly. It has a very charming and quaint touch, which we liked very much. We had a lovely time at Lake Faaker & surroundings. The hosts were very friendly and communication went smoothly. Glad to come back!

Highlights of the stay were the private lake access, the large garden, which is ideal for families or groups with a dog and the very good location to be a little active on vacation (e.g. hiking on the Nassfeld). For larger groups, it is recommended to book the whole place, as there are 3 residential units in the house, but the garden must be shared. In addition, the very friendly welcome and helpfulness must be highlighted by the property manager. All in all, the place left a positive impression on my friends and I.

it was a very nice, clean and organized house where close to Ossiacher See area, you can walk to the See with a wonderful view. Lots of restaurants, Pizza, gas station and super market close by, during the night you can enjoy the beautiful stars and moon on the balcony.

The house is wonderfully quiet and was exactly what we were hoping for – if not more! Especially the direct lake access with the SUPs was a real highlight. The house itself is spacious, very clean and cozy – you immediately feel at home. Norbert was a great host: helpful, friendly and always responded quickly. Clear recommendation – we will be happy to come back! 😊

A really great place and walking distance to the lake and shops, cafes and restaurants in Krumpendorf. Only about 10-15 mins by car to Klagenfurt. The garden was fully secure for our dogs and the place had everything we needed and we really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely book again in the future.

Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Perfect to disconnect and enjoy the hikes of the Triglavski National Park and the pastoral life. Be ready for the 30 minutes drive on an unpaved road for the last stretch of the journey but Branko showed us the way and it made the arrival smooth and pleasant. He was extremely responsive and useful when we had questions about hikes and day trips. And gave us delicious sweets. Once you arrive you feel immersed in Nature. There is a delicious local restaurant 5 minutes walk away and local cheese and bread for sale. (but no grocery store, which was not an issue since we knew it). The house is extremely clean and well appointed, everything seems brand new. Also very nice to arrive and find fresh fruits, bread, jam, coffee, tea and milk and everything needed for our breakfasts. Incredible sleep quality in the mountains. We loved our stay. Well-worth the journey! Thank you, Branko for your hospitality!

The garden tiny house is in a great location, in the middle of the town, and yet it's incredibly quiet. The host gave us great tips for restaurants and nearby getaways. The cottage and its amenities are a little bit older but adequate. It served us very well for our trip to Croatia.

Our stay was fantastic! They are really kind because he offered to come pick us up from the station because of the weather circumstances. Very kind people, and a great place to stay!
