Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Nipissing

Paula made our stay amazing again! The fire was going and the place was toasty warm. We were lucky enough to be there while the goats were having their babies and Paula let all 5 kids stay out with her for hours. We all had an amazing peaceful weekend. Highly recommend!

Our family really enjoyed our time at this beautiful cabin! Check in was quick and easy and Jadey was extremely responsive to messages. Communication was great from arrival to departure. While we did not have access to the wifi, these things happen and we understood. A storm that blew in the day prior caused some issues which didn’t affect our enjoyment and it was a good opportunity to “unplug”. Included availability of the Kayaks, canoes, and water bike was a great way to explore. Excellent location for young families looking to spend relaxing days on the clear and shallow beach with the kids. We also took advantage of the basketball net and tennis court on the cooler days. Overall we had a great stay at Sunset Cove and have no doubt we will return again in the future! Thank you Jadey and Jack.

Thank you Dulcie for the lovely stay, we especially enjoyed the peaceful and beautiful scenery surrounding the cottage. The cottage was modern, clean and had everything we needed. Dulcie was super friendly and responsive throughout our stay. Bonus for us was being able to kayak and canoe on the lake which seems to go on forever! Overall, definitely recommend a stay here for those who want to escape the city for a bit and be in nature.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming little house! One of my favorite features was the fenced in backyard - perfect for letting our two dogs run around safely. The kitchen was well equipped and made it easy to prepare meals - though the salt and pepper shakers were running on fumes (nothing a quick grocery stop couldn't fix). The bed was incredibly comfortable giving us a good nights sleep, allowing us to be rested for our stay spent with friends and exploring. Overall, the home was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing visit. We'd definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay at Mark and Betty's chalet. The place was quiet and clean. There was plenty of space for our two families, a beautiful deck space for enjoying a morning coffee, an indoor pool for the kids to use at the nearby resort (at a reasonable cost and only a 5 minute walk from the chalet) and plenty of hiking trails nearby. The hosts were responsive and offered helpful suggestions for things to do in the area. We especially enjoyed Mark and Betty's art collection, the many klompen (for the Dutch in us!) and the giant pileated woodpecker that would visit the birdfeed in the morning.

Amazing cottage and stay. Has everything you need and then some. We loved the pool with our little ones and the property and cottage is beautiful

Bowhey’s is such a special place. All the amenities, clean cabins, staff is always busy working on something to make it even more beautiful. Ian is so great and laid back. Saturday night karaoke should not be missed! We will definitely be back.

Beautiful view of the West Bay! Cottage was very clean and well equipped. Friendly, laid back people were staying in nearby cottages and trailers. We went to the Lavigne Tavern down the road for supper and had an excellent meal and service. Likewise, picking up ice cream from the corner store. Very friendly, warm, relaxed town - we'll be back!

Angela is very friendly and offers her dog Millie if you need company on your walks - lovely dog. Angela went above and beyond bringing extra groceries for an already well stocked Airbnb. Thank you Angela. I’ll probably be back.

The place was amazing! Super calm area and wonderful for a large group. Host was super responsive and helpful. We did unfortunately have a power outage though from a storm which stopped any water supply for over a day, resulting in us needing to buy supplies as there wasn’t much provided in that case. However, everything else was amazing and the location was beautiful. We had a great time and would love to be back, hopefully in less stormy weather

Another great stay at Porter Lake! Fresh cold air, great times in front of the fire, 8 deer and a moose to top it off. Always enjoy our time.

I stayed for 4 nights with my dog in May 2025. We had a great time enjoying the site, property and Shawna’s local recommendations for food and trails. There are tons of trails and stops along water around this spot. My dog and I enjoyed the trail in Mashkinonje Provincial Park (1 minute or less up the road from the Airbnb) and even got to see a bear on that trail! Lots of beaver dams, marsh, mossy rocks to climb over and beautiful trees. There’s a few nice viewpoints along that trail. We had a lovely time exploring the beauty of the area and property. Thanks for a lovely stay!!

Sara was a great host, her geohome rental is a cute and clean place to stay in for a weekend getaway from the city. We stayed in May and it was a bit chilly and rainy but with the geohome we were able to stay warm with the furnace and dry vs traditional camping. The bed was extremely comfortable and had a warming feature which helped during the cool evenings. Only thing it says there’s a refrigerator so I didn’t bring my food in a cooler, but there’s a cooler outside instead and Sara provided ice packs for us. Just come prepared with ice and your own cooler. Otherwise it was a great, tranquil stay.

Kelly is a great host as he made us feel at home. He was very responsive and got us what we needed within a few minutes. The location is great and hot tub is a bonus. We will return in the future. Overall great stay and experience.

I've just moved to Canada and this my first trip away from Toronto. The place, the hosts, the experience... all of them amazing. If you're visiting in October, make sure you bring extra bedding with you as it gets very cold (for a Brazilian lol). I'm definitely coming back.

We had an excellent family winter weekend getaway! We did some ice fishing, snowmobiling and skating/hockey down the road at the local ODR. The cottage was a great spot for our family and we will definitely go back and would love to try it in the summer months. Thanks for sharing your cottage with us!

Absolutely loved our stay at Beaver Point Cottages! The place is cute, quiet, and in a perfect location right on the water. The hosts were incredibly helpful—we ran out of propane for the BBQ and had a new tank delivered within minutes. Couldn’t ask for better service. 10/10 recommend and would definitely come back! The host was thoughtful and responsive, even arranging early cleaning so we could check in anytime. Small touches like a well-equipped kitchen, comfy beds, and detailed instructions made our stay feel easy and welcoming. We especially enjoyed the hot tub, the fireplace, and the canoe rides.
