It's a very nice place to relax at the laguna de apoyo, hike up to a viewpoint and go for a swim. The property is beautiful, they have nice places to sit and an amazing yogaplatform to practice with a nice view on the lake. We stayed there with our little dog, very pet friendly place!!! I'm really happy i spend some days there and would love to come back to this peaceful place.

We had a lovely stay at San Simian! The house was immaculate and cozy. Staff were incredibly kind and accommodating of our three young kids. The grounds were gorgeous and the Laguna was serene. The included use of the kayaks, inner tubes, and life jackets was super fun. We ate all our meals on site and enjoyed delicious food and incredible service each time. We will definitely be back! This place is an absolute gem.

Tatiana is a wonderful host. She was always available and very helpful. The place is very nicely decorated and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The terrace is beautiful and you can see the two volcanoes. Tatiana also offers breakfast and dinner. You can also rent a scooter for $15 a day. The location is exactly between the two volcanoes, from the ferry it is half an hour by taxi or bus to the accommodation. Ojo de Agua is about a 20-minute walk away. Card payment is also possible. We would mist definitely visit again.

I really enjoyed my stay a Bananas hospedaje. It's the perfect place if youre looking for a little tranquility. It's my favorite place in 9 months of traveling. Efraim and Guadalupe are very friendly and welcoming. Efraim is super helpful and knowledgeable about Ometepe. He was able to arrainge taxis, tours and pretty much whatever you need. They both go out of their way to help with whatever you need. The room was really comfortable and clean. The food is really good and at a really good price. Bananas is a really fun place to stay. In the evenings a flock of Magpies hop around the banana trees and right before dark hundreds of fireflies make the jungle sparkle. It's a five minute walk to the lake for swimming. I highly recommend checking it out for yourself. I hope to stay there again one day.

Lesbia was wonderful to communicate with. Her gardens are lovely to walk around. We had local organic fruits and coffee served by Lesbia. The spot is idyllic in so many ways. The space of the cabin was large, patio to enjoy the evening reading in the hammocks, seating near the water for cocktails and sunset, kayaking and swimming. Dogs and horses came to to visit too. We will definitely return.

We had an incredible stay at Lesbia and Wilber's place. We stayed for 3 weeks to explore the island and get some remote work done. We could have stayed even longer! Lesbia was always very helpful with any questions we had. She helped us out with motobike rentals and served up incredible breakfasts at the airbnb! The spot is beautiful. It exceeded our expectations. If you're looking for a remote and relaxing stay right by the lake, this is the spot for you. We will miss the friendly property dogs.

Mathi's place is gorgeous! If you're looking for a peaceful trip, this is your place! When you walk up the hill to get to the space, you feel a sensation of openness, surrounded by beautiful nature. When you arrive, you're greeted by beautiful views in a gorgeous, spacious, private and luminous wooden cabin that blends perfectly with the nature. We really enjoyed our 2 nights at Casa Marimba. The whole property is beautiful. The staff are so friendly and warm. The food at the restaurant was amazing, every single meal! Our room was lovely. We loved that it's not a big party kind of place. The restaurant and bar close at 8, and then it's just quiet for the night. I would just caution future guests that there are a lot of stairs to get around the property, and some of them are uneven. If you have any mobility problems, you may find it difficult. We enjoyed the exercise, so it certainly isn't a complaint on our part!

I booked this place after an Airbnb I booked in the Laguna did not work out and they were so responsive and helpful! Loved the balcony, love the pool and the breakfast was really good! The entire staff was so nice and helpful from the time I checked in until I left. The fridge in the room and the tv were nice touches that I didn’t find in many other hotels in the country. Beautiful property and like its own little mini oasis.

Wow, Mathi is such a great host! We loved the recommendations for the taxi drivers and beaches, and we also love the values she lives by to protect the environment. Her place is inspiring, with the permaculture gardens, homemade cleaning supplies, and all of the work she has put in to the little community that she has built on the hill. We highly recommend the meals that are cooked on site, and the views/breezes are the best around!
