Lake house vacation rentals in Lake Murray

We cannot recommend this place enough. So peaceful and right on the water. Quiet cove but close to everything.

Beautiful space where we spent most of our time on the deck/screened in porch. Very clean place, looked just like the pictures.

We stayed for the weekend of our daughter’s wedding at Heron Hill Venue. The location was great and the scenery beautiful. The lake house is well equipped, comfortable, and decorated but not cluttered. The deck overlooking the lake was the perfect place to sit in the morning and relax with my hot cup of tea before wedding preparations got crazy. Only wish we’d had more time to enjoy it. Kim was very helpful and responsive. I would come back again even without a wedding to attend. High marks for this lake house retreat!

Absolutely amazing stay at Todd’s property. We enjoyed breathtaking views of sunrise over Lake Murray from the front porch and stunning sunsets over Lake Murray from the backyard. The home was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Hope to return!

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb. It looked like the photos. Lori was very responsive and helpful. Prime location near shops and resturants. GORGEOUS water view. We will be back!

Allie was a great host, very responsive and willing to help anytime we had questions. The home was great and exactly as described. The dock and boat ramp were very convenient although the boat ramp is only paved to the edge of the water and does not go into the lake, making it harder to level boat. Allie had everything in the home to make our stay very easy and plenty of parking for our family also.

Garrett was very responsive and friendly. We rented this place to bass fish Lake Murray. The driveway was big enough to hold our trucks and trailers. We were able to tie our boats at the docks or beach behind the house. Very nice! The house was exactly as described in the pictures and we have no complaints. I also want to say the residents of Lake Murray were the friendliest folks we have ever met! People on docks just come out to talk and welcome us to their Lake. I highly recommend Garrett and this house for your next stay in Lake Murray.

This was a great place to stay! There was a problem with the oven when we arrived, and they were fast to get a replacement! They were always quick to respond. We had a great time here. The house was clean and there was a beautiful view of the water! We would definitely stay here again!

This is a great little place to stay. My wife and I in several of our friends stayed here for a couple days. The super restful and the lake was beautiful, especially in the morning when the sun came up :-) Maighen and Shawn we're super friendly and communicative. We would definitely stay there again if we're there :-)

Me and my family had stayed here before right after the hurricane in October of 2024. Not much has changed since then, which is amazing! Dan and Linda are the sweetest hosts and an amazing couple! We definitely can't wait to stay again and enjoy the water once more.

What a very enjoyable stay. We needed a place last minute to evacuate our home in FL for a hurricane. Janice and Nathan responded immediately and had the place ready for us when we arrived. It was perfect for what we needed and our two dogs loved it with the fenced in yard. If you have pets and want to get away….this is the spot!!! Place was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The view from the back porch is amazing and when you walk down to the water it takes all your stresses away. We will certainly be back!

Our family with our two dogs had a very relaxing week at the house. We enjoyed being on the water with the dock. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Fenced in large back yard was great for the dogs. House was also great. Very spacious and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Neighbors were very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend staying at the house!

Overall we loved the home. We ran into unfortunate timing with a new, what appeared to be a dry dock, being built which negated our outdoor activities. This was a great location for quiet lake time and a very beautiful setting, both out front and out back. Would definitely consider visiting again.

Natasha was very sweet and responsive. We had an issue getting into the place(our fault not hers) she drove all the way there to let us in. Fishing spot is hidden and quiet. Beautiful and private. We will return !

We truly enjoyed our stay at Red's Retreat. It was a spacious and clean home in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Great views of the lake and easy access to the water. The kitchen had all of the essentials. I took some of my favorite cooking items just in case and they never left the car. We had all that we needed. Loved the cozy front porch will all of the rockers. If we get to vacation at the lake again, Red's Retreat will be our first choice. Edward was a great host and had all the answers before we even had to ask.

Was perfect for our stay on a tight schedule with really only needing a place to sleep for 2 nights. We didn’t have any down time to enjoy the area. Tessie was quick to respond and very easy to work with. Definitely would stay again. The rooster wake up call wasn’t a problem for our group!!😁

Jennifer and Walter's house was exactly what our group needed. Everyone had their own bedroom, and all the amenities were exactly as described. The house was well furnished and had several down-home touches that was much appreciated. The house is nestled in a tranquil setting but still had a few neighbors' houses to make one feel safe. Jennifer and Walter responded immediately when we locked ourselves out of the house. If you are looking for a place to stay in the area, this is the house to reserve.

Wonderful hosts, was able to meet them in person and chat a little. A recent storm posed some challenges for the hosts as far as making sure the property was ready for our stay, but they worked hard to make it happen and it was great. Communicative hosts, beautiful property. Would stay again.

This place was amazing. Right on the lake, in a peaceful location, and a great view. This place was gorgeously decorated and so freaking comfortable. The owners totslly gutted the place years ago and made it an amazing little bungalow. If we end up in Prosperity again, or want a few days away on the lake, this is our number 1 choice!!

Everything was exactly as described, would definitely stay here again. We actually have a couple times.

It was a wonderful stay for me and my large family. House is in very great area we were there for my daughter’s graduation from ft.Jackson and it’s a 17 minute drive which was great and close. House is great sized for large family. It was easy to get to quiet neighborhood and very responsive to questions. I would tell everyone that is there for vacation or ft.jackson graduation this is the place to stay.
