Lake house vacation rentals in Lake Monroe

We had an amazing stay at Natalie’s beautiful lakefront home! We were in town to visit family who lived just 15 minutes away, and this was the perfect home base.-so much better than staying at a hotel! Waking up to the lake views each morning was such a treat. Natalie was a wonderful host—kind, responsive, and made everything easy. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Our little family of three thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Three year old was happy with his pullout bed in the living room, watching his shows in the morning before our adventures during the day. It was perfectly peaceful. Watching the gators in the bay from the dock and just enjoying the surroundings, lounging in the shade was this tired momma's favorite part. Accessible to many restaurants and lots of nature parks and trails around. Our hosts were very friendly; the space had all the basic household items necessary for preparing vacation snacks and quick meals. We plan to be back!

My husband and I were in the area for a Jr. EYBL basketball tournament for my son. We stayed in the house along with 2 other families and their boys. It was PERFECT!!! So spacious, clean, and well equipped. The lake view was incredibly beautiful! The patio was a nice space for the boys to hang out between games. There were tons of board and card games to keep them busy. There was a nice office space that one of the dads used daily since he had some work to do. The beds were big and so comfortable! I loved the MIL house. It was well furnished and spacious as well. Great for the early to bed people… ME! Richard and Braden were very nice and allowed us a late checkout since our game was a little later on Sunday. I had only 1 question while there and I got a quick response. We have traveled a lot together and everyone agreed this is definitely in our top houses and we’ve stayed in and if ever in the area again, we will be back!

We had an absolute blast staying at this Airbnb in Orlando! From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and welcoming. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our host was incredibly friendly and responsive, offering great local tips and making sure we felt right at home. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like extra towels, drinks, and clear instructions for everything in the house. James and Fabiene were the BEST! We 100% will be back, and highly recommend!

Chris was extremely responsive the place is amazing kids love it the site is just amazing, the BEDS are extremely comfortable and after long walks on the parks the sleep is really important and this site provide that besides all the amenities that also include as the games arcades, ETC

We thought our holiday weekend in FL was ruined due to another AirBnb not being what we were expecting and had to abruptly leave but still had two days in FL. Host responded very fast and friendly, answered all my questions. The house was absolutely what we were looking for, stuff for kids and adults and right across from clubhouse and water park.

Laura was great, very responsive to our messages and dealt with everything promptly. The villa was lovely, really clean and well presented, just as expected from the photos. We had quiet of bugs in the master bath tub, Laura assured us this is due to the season and being by the lake however, very quickly organised someone to come out and spray them the next morning and we had no more bugs the rest of our 2 weeks stay!! The pool was lovely, the kids absolutely loved it. There were already inflatables there for the pool which was a lovely touch. The only downside was the distance from the villa to Disney and universal. On average, it would take 45 minutes to get to Disney factoring in traffic. To get home late at night we would average 35 minutes with light to little traffic. Universal was averaging 1 hour to get there in the morning and about 45 minutes home at night. This meant we couldn’t “pop back to the pool” in the afternoon heat as would take 1.5-2hours of the afternoon.

We can’t say enough good things about Aline’s place! Great place for a family gathering and to disconnect from your worries. The house is beautiful and comfortable. Toddler, parents, grandparents and pets all had room to spread out without feeling crowded. The backyard and pool area is truly something special. Great views and gorgeous palm trees and landscaping really make you feel like you have your own private oasis. The dogs LOVED the outdoor space and our toddler spent all day in the pool. So did the adults for that matter! Aline was very accommodating and offered to help us with recommendations for things to do. Easily the most comfortable air bnb that we’ve ever stayed in. My family and I really enjoyed our stay. Spacious dining area, bonus Florida room AND a separate screened in patio. Plenty of room to entertain, hangout and relax! The house is updated with a retro vibe that I really liked. Stocked Keurig coffee bar in the modernized retro themed kitchen was very nice. Guest bathroom is very nice and spacious but the master bath is a little cramped for a bigger guy like myself but still very nice. 5/5 stars, I would definitely stay here again.

This was our second stay at the Butterfly Cottage and it was perfect for our family! Very cute with vintage charm, private, lots of space, and my kids loved the toy kitchen and dollhouse at the property!

Really enjoyed our stay! Backyard really was an oasis. Had a lot of fun playing pickleball and basketball and enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Home was clean and they had everything we needed and things we didn't think of (e.g. skewers for making s'mores in the fire pit, beach chairs) Appreciated the responsiveness in communication and from hosts. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful lake views! We stayed mid-May for a week. One of the reasons we chose Patsy's listing was for the boat dock. We brought our pontoon with us and tied it to the private dock. Every morning and every evening, we went out on the boat to fish, drive around the lakes, and even docked at a couple of restaurants. Bring a good camera - the sunrises and moonrises are incredible. The sunsets are gorgeous too from out on the lake. For the warm months, bring a few glass patio torches for the bugs because you will want to sit out on the patio. The house has everything you need, and we very much enjoyed our stay. P.S. Yes, we saw alligators every night from the patio! Most of the time they swam between the neighbor's dock and ours, like it was their gathering spot in the evenings.

This place was really special. We came for Mother’s Day weekend and really loved Sarah’s place to relax and unwind. We went kayaking in a nearby spring and the next day we took a little drive to Mt Dora to do some shopping and get lunch. I couldn’t wait to get back to the house both times. I just wanted to sit with a cup of coffee looking out at the lake! Cooking in the kitchen is lovely. The view from the kitchen is breathtaking and it’s so functional and well stocked! We felt the beds were comfortable. The place charmingly decorated with so many details! The showers were HOT with great water pressure. The bathrooms were pretty big too. A little ways off the dock there’s an old (non functioning) light tower that now serves as a perch for a hawks nest! We loved spying on them with our binoculars. We saw lots of alligators too and really enjoyed watching one of them catch and enjoy a fish. Sarah was always available to answer questions. I have a feeling we’ll be back!!

It was truly amazing. My daughter was overjoyed with the children’s books, the outdoor swing, and the pool. My husband relaxed on the dock, and my mom loved her walk to Crane Park. We will be back! Don't hesitate to book!

When we first walked in, the smell of the barnyard wood was so nice. The house was clutter free and they left a cute welcome sign for our family on the refrigerator. The kids (and admittedly us parents too 😃 ) loved the game room. We spent hours playing against each other. The bonus was when we went to bed and found out the bed was one of those electronic adjustable beds! The layout was perfect for our family. Our oldest son got to be in his own room while parents took the room connected to the one with bunkbeds for our younger son. We had privacy but were close enough to our little one for any night time needs. Thanks again for your hospitality, we will be wanting to book again in the future for sure!

Luis and Mary’s place was just as described and pictured. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt right at home. The townhouse is in a great location (near the beach, the river, restaurants, shopping, etc.) and VERY clean. We will definitely look for this home again for our next trip!

The entire house was incredible! The attention to detail was impeccable to the privacy fencing outside to the art on the walls. The more we explored the house the more we realized that the owners literally thought of everything when designing and furnishings the home. 10 out of 10 would recommend. Can't wait for my next visit

Best location to us, since we spent most of time in State Parks and wetlands nearby. Also super convenient when we need to go to downtown. Felt right at home with this beautiful and nicely setup house. Best water pressure and best beds/bedding at Airbnb. The house is so comfortable that we even spent a lot of time working, reading, and chilling at home. Really missed reading at the sofa near the window looking out at the most frequent visitor Great Blue Heron at the lake. Very quiet and peaceful yet so convenient to everything. Our host Valerie and Rinoah are super friendly and responsive. We appreciated their hospitality and keeping this place so beautiful and comfy. Would love to be back anytime we are nearby!

amazing place to stay with a private slip for the boat. multiple place to take the boat and have dinner, drinks and live entertainment. Very quiet neighborhood and had no issues. Great experience!! Highly recommend!

This cozy cottage was so perfect. The clawfoot tub was to die for. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Tara was very responsive. We had no issues the entire stay. It was beautiful.

We had a great time at this cottage. The house was very comfortable and in a great location. On the second day we were there, we found out about Freebee, those cute little electric carts that ferry people around the mt dora historical area for FREE! We just walked for 30 seconds over to the public parking lot next to eden abbey and got picked up and dropped off there, using the app. And then we didn't have to sweat our butts off walking into and out of Mt Dora Historic area (LOL).

I had a fantastic stay at! The home was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared with things I needed. Check-in was smooth, and communication with the host was quick and helpful throughout my stay. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
