Beautiful front porch and lovely sitting area in the rear of the Cottage. We are located 15 min to Waynesville, 30 to Asheville, Ski Cataloochee! It’s great for kids! We are in a really great spot in between all the national parks and forests: Smoky Mountain, Blueridge Pkwy, Pisgah, Nantahala. Surrounded by hiking, rivers, lakes, tubing, u-pick farms, swimming holes, and fishing.

This magical Maggie Valley Schoolhouse is one of a kind. Refurbished with handmade furniture, curated antiques and all of the comforting amenities of home, this Schoolhouse is the perfect mountain escape. Built in the 1800’s it was used as the first schoolhouse in the area. You will find treasures from its original days like a corn-cob floor patch, student names carved into the bead board wall and a bookshelf forged out of the original schoolhouse door. The area is serene, yet near to town.
