Farmstay vacation rentals in Lake Huron

We loved our visit to the little house, there were tons of mowed trails to wander and explore and our kids loved running around and looking at all the cars and treasures, the photos don't do it justice. The home was clean and cute and vintage and peaceful. Highly recommend if you need a getaway and like to be outdoors to walk without having to drive somewhere. It was just a short drive to Mackinaw City and the lakeshore as well.

The cottage is an absolutely paradise! Fere and her wonderful family were consummate hosts - very accommodating and communicative, with great local recommendations. The cabin itself is idyllic and the perfect place for a weekend getaway; we couldn’t believe it was just an hour from the city — we really felt like we got the chance to unplug. The property is beautiful and well-maintained, with great walking trails and gardens! The cottage is comfortable and spacious, with all the necessities for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Highly recommend. Very cute space for a couples getaway. Right in the middle of so many wineries to explore. The thoughtful extras provided by your hosts at arrival were a most appreciated extra touch. Super clean and quiet. We hope to stay again in the future.

We arrived late and Debbie met and let us in. The tour was great, along with the history of their childhood growing up on the farm. Felt right at home from the get go. The pool was awesome as well as the horses. The children and younger adults loved it all. I would sincerely recommend this place to anyone that wants a home away from home! We stayed at Lloyd’s cottage for a few days and had an excellent stay. The space was clean, had laundry for convenience, and had a nice selection of breakfast items that came in handy. We would recommend this bnb and stay here again :)

Patrick was a great host! We enjoyed the quiet and calm nature surroundings and loved having the cows right out the window! Everything was tidy, and clean.

I love the Farm Shed...it feels like you have rented a wee home of your own and it's nestled in a serene farm setting...quiet, contemplative and cozy. The friendliest cat was a bonus.

Charolette took us in when our car broke down and let us stay as long as we needed till the repairs were finished. Not to mention the place is beyond anything I’ve ever experienced! The duck pond, art work by her husband, trails, amazing swing, comfortable sleeping, fire pit, the list goes on! My favourite Airbnb experience yet! Everything was amazing including the host! Wow! What a beautiful space. Everything was so well laid out and we really appreciated the labels and welcome binder. It was the perfect spot for our girls weekend!

Our getaway was delightful! Every moment felt special, from long dog walks through the property to relaxing in the cozy, beautifully designed cabin. The outdoor seating area was the perfect spot to unwind, and taking a refreshing dip in the swimming pond after our bike race made the experience even more memorable. Thank you, Rushad:)

Andrew’s spot is nice for a quiet getaway. Myself, my brother and his son did a little golf trip in the thumb and it was a great place to hang out after rounds. Flat spots for yard games, fire pit. Home was really clean. Good decor but nothing felt in your way. Beds were fine. Bathrooms were great. Loved the quiet and the dark—the stars were great. Nice view of a farm behind house.

The Austrian Log House is a little slice of heaven. We enjoyed every minute of our stay, and really hope we will get to go back again someday. The location is peaceful and quiet with beautiful views. The log house was very clean, had everything we needed, super comfortable beds. This place is absolutely stunning!! And our host was super friendly, helpful, and made us feel so welcome. It was a truly magical weekend away at the beautiful Austrian Log House.

The place that Nicole and Scott have created is such a wonderful home away from home. We felt very welcome, and it was exactly what we needed. Their two dogs were a giant plus for us, which I think they realized as soon as we met them - so they let them out for us to say hi often. All in all, we had an amazing stay, and hope to come back some day.

Every detail was so thoughtfully considered, from the extra snacks and bathroom essentials we didn’t even realize we might need, to cozy robes for the hot tub, and even heated floors in the bathroom. The space is incredibly spacious with farm accents that instantly made us feel at home. The king-size bed was unbelievably comfortable, and the hosts stocked the house with everything from board games to a computer, making our stay both fun and relaxing. The outdoor space was just as magical. We spent our evenings soaking in the amazing hot tub, and enjoying private BBQs in the beautifully set up outdoor area. The views were stunning, and the entire property felt peaceful and secluded….a perfect romantic escape. We also got to explore the area: visiting waterfalls, castles, a botanical garden, antique malls, and even Medieval Times! It was a wonderful mix of adventure and rest. Our hosts were incredibly gracious, communicative & kind! A truly wonderful place.

My mother and I traveled to Michigan, to beautiful Mackinac Island for a special mother-daughter trip and chose this location as our homebase. We absolutely loved staying here and would most certainly book the duplex again!
