Vacation rentals with a kayak in Lake Glenville

The view of the lake from the large back porch was awesome. A peaceful place to relax and explore the lake on the canoes provided. There was a green egg on site for cooking dinner. I’d highly recommend this location!

Beautiful cottage on lake. Very peaceful and close to town. The home was clean with all amenities you would need. We so enjoyed sitting on the dock taking in the lovely surroundings. We look forward to booking in the future!

I enjoyed this place 100%. Clean space, some privacy, extremely peaceful. Matt was super proactive in letting us know of the current events that could affect our stay, such as open fire bans. so therefore we could not use the fire pit. However, We enjoyed the scenery, the hot tub, the grill and other outside adventures. I would highly recommend staying here & I would definitely book with Matt again during a different season!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. Along the Little Tennessee River was very peaceful, I only wish I’d brought a fishing rod. Instructions were clear, check-in was easy, and simple requests to follow upon our leaving. You will be just outside of Franklin, NC and central to many outdoor activities and places to eat and visit. I would definitely recommend a stay here and hopefully be able to book again when I’m back in the area.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Robert’s place in Sunset SC. It suited our 3 generations of family that we had there. The kitchen table was great with room for all 8 of us plus more! The bedroom situation was wonderful with I/2 baths stuck strategically around the house. Lots of games and puzzles for the kids. Here were a few items to mention for future visitors: there are 3 stories in this house so be prepared to hike, and discuss the heating/cooling situation with other guests before going to bed as the middle floor thermostat is in one of the bedrooms.

My family of four really enjoyed staying at Todd's. There was plenty of space inside and nature surrounding the house, and it was close enough to the things we wanted to explore in Highlands as well as Cashiers.

What a lovely place to stay. Clean, comfortable, with no detail overlooked. Stephanie’s place came with everything you could ask for - it had everything you could possible need, including toothbrushes and toothpaste. The kitchen was well appointed though we did not cook this trip (except for toasting waffles and English muffins). This is the best airbnb I’ve stayed in! I would 1000% recommendation!

The house was stunning, the driveway would definitely be a struggle for a lesser driver but overall, one of the best places we’ve stayed so far!

I can’t express how nice this cabin is, it’s beautiful. Very nice decor and comfortable beds & furniture. The upstairs loft is so cozy! The deck was spacious and well maintained, the views of the mountains from the covered porch were pretty. Parking is easygoing, no steep driveway. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming! This cabin is not far from the main highway, makes travel easy to navigate the area and explore. The cabin is a few minutes drive from WCU, which is very convenient for anyone in town visiting their college kid. I enjoyed my stay, and I recommend this place a 100%.

Really enjoyed our night here. Appreciated the clear instructions and everything is labeled well. The house and area is beautiful, sad it was too rainy to take advantage of the canoes. Would definitely stay here again.

Bear Lake is beautiful and isolated. Top notch staff, beautiful spaces and good amenities. The house was in fantastic shape and was everything advertised. The back porch is a fantastic place to hang out and enjoy a beautiful view of the mountains on the other side of the lake. A few things to consider - the road to the house is curvy and very steep. Also, cell service is very poor, so make sure to set your GPS and copy a picture with the door code before leaving the service areas.

Great stay at Connestee falls. Loved the views of the lake from the house and the great hiking trails nearby. Lake is stocked with fish and the kids had a lot of luck fishing. Hot tub has a great lake view for enjoying at night

Can’t say how much we love Bearcat Cottage! Always a quick response to any questions, on a rainy day played monopoly and uno, sunny days went swimming,kayaking and roasted marshmallows. My girls had a mini spa day and felt like they were in a “fancy” hotel (the slippers and robes)! Can’t wait to come back. Kitchen has everything and more!

We had an incredible time in North Carolina. The house was exactly as described and our big family fit in it perfectly. We accidentally forgot our dog crate and were very pleased to find a crate there that our doodle could fit in. They also had dog bowls, which was a plus! There was plenty of trash bags, cleaning supplies, and toiletries there in case we needed them. We were also very pleased with the pack n play and high chair for our 10 month old. It was such a beautiful place! We loved the fireplace and fire pit as well! It was all just really comfy and cozy. Couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend New Year’s Eve! Thank you Robbin for being so accommodating and welcoming.

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay here. There was plenty of space. There were large dining tables both indoors and outdoors. The home was well-equipped, with everything we needed. Our stay was short-term, but I was amazed by how much storage there was in the house, even though we didn’t personally use it. The furniture and beds were comfortable . Everything was clean. The carport was great for keeping us and our vehicle dry. The location was very convenient to many areas of town- it felt like we were never more than 5-10 minutes from our destination. We liked being able to walk to the college. The yard and deck were great spaces to spend time outdoors.

My son and I stayed here for 3 nights for a long weekend of skiing. We really enjoyed our stay in the cabin. It was cosy and clean and the baseboard heaters & fireplace kept us warm during some especially cold weather. Although in a very quiet rural setting, the cabin was close to the main street of Maggie Valley and all the restaurants, and only a 15 minute drive to the ski area. In the evenings we had fun playing bowling on the Nintendo Wii!

Everything worked great! Even the backup generator, which came on automatically after we lost power in a storm. Couldn’t be more convenient!

Hosts were great at communicating and provided some great recommendations in the binder for the cabin. Cabin had everything we needed to cook all of our meals for our family of seven. Cabin afforded lots of space to spread out and offered some scenic views of the surrounding forests.

As the first guests of this wonderful house I can't say anything more than that the house is in a beautiful setting, a quiet and peaceful place, a private and closed area where the house is located, clean and very well equipped with top-shelf appliances, 3-4 families can easily rest and relax, plenty of space for walks and playing with children, a lake on the premises allows fishing.i highly recommend this house and the owner Keri is very communicative.I can't and don't want to say anything bad.Good luck and a nice rest for the next guests

Quiet and peaceful place to relax and still close to town. Great covered porch, it rained while we were there and it was nice to still be able to sit outside and enjoy the sound!

We had a great and enjoyable stay with our family. The cabin was just as described and within walking distance of many of our favorite activities at Lake Junaluska. It was easy to find supplies, blankets, pots, and pans. Cabinets and light switches were labeled well so it was easy to navigate and find exactly what we needed. Everything looked and felt fresh and clean.

Great secluded place. Very nice the host provides a brand new nice pack and play and high chair. Linens were immaculate. Lovely stay and enjoyed reading the history

We had an absolutely amazing stay here for spring break in the mountains. The property is nestled in a serene, scenic location with breathtaking views of the lake—perfect for relaxing mornings with coffee or winding down after a long day of hiking and seeing all the waterfalls nearby. The home itself is incredibly spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. From a fully stocked kitchen to cozy bedrooms and modern bathrooms, no detail was overlooked. The amenities were top-notch—plenty of outdoor seating, a fire pit, and even a hot tub that made our evenings extra special. My boys loved the bunk bed and playing ping pong downstairs too. One of the best parts of the experience was communicating with John. He was friendly, responsive, and genuinely committed to making sure our stay was perfect. Any questions we had were answered promptly, and he went above and beyond to accommodate us. Highly recommend and would come back!
