My partner and I chose this peaceful, beautiful Airbnb as the spot for our private elopement, and it was everything we hoped for. We enjoyed the walk down to the beach and along the shore multiple times a day. The space was cozy, serene, and spotless, and Aletta was so kind and thoughtful. She even agreed to be our witness for ceremony! An unforgettable stay in every way. Highly recommend!!

Perfect little getaway not too far off the beaten track. It’s absolutely beautiful and cozy with everything you can think of. It feels private despite being close to the hosts primary residence. The highlight was the full size kitchen. Great option for a couple that wants to unwind for a weekend, cook nice meals, hot tub, and enjoy each other’s company. Would definitely come back here again. Julie was a great host, would definitely stay again! We actually did a same day booking because our original Airbnb had to cancel and we were so grateful Julie was able to make it work on such short notice. The place is super cozy and has beautiful views right on the lake. Would love to come back in the summer for another girls trip! Highly recommend.

Just finished a 2 night stay with my husband and our dog and we had the best time! the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for a home cooked meal the first night. we explored the next day and visited Big Doug. such a cool experience! went down to Botanical Beach then finished the day with dinner at the pub (the fish & chips were so good!). the hottub was such a nice treat at the end of the day too. Jodi and Ian made check in super easy and were always available if we needed anything. can't wait to go back!

I stayed here with my family and my brother and his family during the holidays. We have kids and the area was just perfect- walkable, a nearby athletic field, close to restaurants and a straight shot into the city. The place was big enough we all had our own space and perfect enough to accommodate us all eating together, watching movies, and playing board games. I would definitely stay here again.

Nancy and Michael's cottage was the perfect place for us to unwind and enjoy Mayne Island. We've been to the island several times and this trip offered many new wonderful experiences thanks to Nancy and Michael's hospitality. We had so much fun taking the e-bikes into town for pizza and riding them out to lighthouse park for a picnic. We also took advantage of the kayak rental and went for a gorgeous paddle out in Bennett Bay. In the mornings and evenings, we enjoyed coffee, reading, and birdsong in the outdoor seating area and slept soundly at night in the comfy bed. Thank you Nancy and Michael for being so kind, generous, and helpful during our stay and sharing this magical spot on Mayne with others!
