Vacation rentals with a hot tub in Lake Biwa

We loved staying here during our 8 night in Tokyo. It was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Hosts were easy to speak to and provided us with great information for checking in/out. We had no issues at all and would recommend this accommodation.

great location, super quiet. could use more heating in the winter (bathroom & shower cold), but would totally stay again!

Wonderful location - walkable or quick cab to many sites and conveniences. Cool Machiya good for two couples with upstairs and downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms providing privacy. Downstairs bedroom has a firm western style bed, two upstairs bedrooms have multiple futons and plenty of bedding. Compared to our other accommodations with futons, these were very thin, but because they were plentiful we stacked them for a little more cushion. Lovely small garden to look over makes the place feel a world away. Rental company was responsive and dropped off dishwasher soap same day when we realized there wasn’t any. Overall great stay and excellent hosts - would recommend for your stay in wonderful Kyoto!

Typical Japanese house with everything to feel at home. As a bonus, this private bath in the small garden you can stay for a long time without the water cooling! Loved it🥰. 7 min walk to a line that goes up to Kyoto center and it is a JR station for those who have taken the passes. To conclude, perfect! 👍

Very nice place (nice finishes, spotless, comfortable beds and floor mattresses) in an excellent location (quiet neighborhood 15mn walk from the touristic hot spots). Barely any common space which we used as an incentive to go explore the city :)

Very comfortable for 3 of us. It is within 15-25 mins walk to most attractions partly on narrow roads. Taxis can conveniently stop right outside the apt. The apt has easy-to-use amenities eg washer cum dryer, relaxing round bath tub, 2 toilets and 2 bathrooms, well-lit rooms on 2nd floor with comfortable floor mattresses. Little space downstairs if you have many big suitcases as stairways can be narrow to move them to second floor.

We stayed 4 weeks at Q5 t h's traditional home. It’s located in a residential area, with a good bakery, supermarket and a very helpful pharmacy near by. Our host was very responsive, helpful, friendly and easy to communicate with. Because this is an old traditional house for us it felt very cold during the raining chilly days in Kyoto, but our host was kind to provide an additional heater to keep us more comfortable. The house is spacious, the king bed was comfortable, the shower has a great pressure, and the little zen garden was a pleasant view. The area is very quiet and there is near by train and bus to easily get to all the sights of Kyoto. We have been to Kyoto in previous years and always stayed in hotels, renting a traditional house gave us a better perspective of daily life in Japan.

Beautiful place, Omoide is helpulf, nice, respecful. He gave us important information about Kioto, places to eat and what to do.

Our stay at Yanbin’s place was great! We really felt at home, at a Japanese home! Place is great, location was awesome! Away from the tourists but still super close to any action Kyoto offers! Yanbin was super friendly, always willing to help and put up with all my questions! Honestly a great place, plenty of room, comfortable and great location! Our kids were very careful around the house, but with so much space it was really great! Everyone had its own corner in the house to enjoy their reading, playing a game, reading a book or sipping a coffee/tea/sake! Highly recommended without a doubt! Thank you Yanbin, see you next time!

Lovely time at Kyoto House! A really fun space, mix of classic Japanese and western style. The doorways are a little low if you’re tall but really no complaints. Would stay again!

The open air onsen is extremely nice. And there is a cheap parking lot right next to the house. The bedrooms are spacious, neat and clean. Nevertheless the living room is small and better to accommodate 4 persons. In a nutshell, it is a good place to stay. The neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful.

This is one of the absolute best air bnbs I’ve ever stayed in. I can’t recommend this place enough! Beautiful home that is an unforgettable experience. I will definitely stay here again if I visit Kyoto and would recommend to friends and family. This is a stay you will remember forever!!

Very nice place with clean and hot tub including place! Drinks, gifts, and quick communications are great to feel welcome at place.

As a group of 6 adults, we stayed in this beautiful, clean home in April 2025. Everyone was impressed with how high end and comfortable everything was. Even better than the pictures! Appliances were high end and there were wonderful small details such as fresh flowers. I recommend making toast in the Balmuda toaster (add a spoonful of water in the receptacle to first steam the bread). The kitchen has everything you could want. Located a 5 minute walk from the KH line with easy access to Nishiki Market, Gion, Fushimi Inari, and Kyoto station. We were sad to leave. Not a cheap accomodation but worth the money and would consider again if travelling with a group!

Spacious, elegantly furnished and very peaceful. We loved the house and its location - right next to the Tōdai-ji temple and the Deer Park. We had a bit of an issue entering the house as the code given to us was incorrect … but was just a little hiccup in our overall stay. I would wholeheartedly recommend this house to anyone coming to Nara. We stayed 3 days and we could have definitely stayed longer!

It was a very relaxing place to stay, with a sense of security like home and a luxurious space like a resort. I booked it looking for a place to get away from everyday life and refresh, and I'd love to stay again in the space I wanted. Next time, I want to BBQ steak! Thanks so much!

8 of us used it, and it was very well equipped We had a comfortable stay. Also, the weather on the day was bad and the temperature was low, but the wood stoves inside and outside were fresh and warm, and it was great. I want to book next time during a warm season.

The sauna and cottage were both beautiful and comfortable!The bedding was fluffy and I slept soundly! I want to use it again!

Anyway, it's fully equipped. Everything is sparkling clean. It is good because it has a high fence as a private space. I'll use it again.

It was so good!!The surroundings are too quiet, so it may be a little annoying.
