This is one of the best hostels I’ve ever been. I really hope I can come back one day. The place is really clean, every single member of the staff is kind, nice and easy going. The restaurant on top has nice vibes (they always play reggae music) and they even tried to accommodate my vegetarian/vegan requests. Thank you so much for the good time, guys!

Great experience at the Niomon! Near the main attractions in Kyoto centre, it's easy to move around, still being located in a quiet area. The receptionists were extremely kind and welcoming, we had a pleasant stay.

Compact yet comfortable one bedroom, shared bathrooms with other rooms in the hall but never felt high traffic and the bathrooms were very clean. The bedroom does have its own sink which is very convenient. The room is located in a nice hostel with a front reception desk, cafe, and courtyard. The only less convenient piece is that it is located quite far away from the main tourist attractions of Kyoto, our commute was up to 45 mins to an hour to get to Gion, Fushimi Inari temple, etc. otherwise nice place that i would stay in again!

The location is very close to one of the stations connecting to Kyoto station which made getting around super easy. The accommodation was nice and spacious whilst also feeling cozy. Checking in was really easy. I turned up the day after I was due to check in and they had left my key in a locker on reception which made the whole process so much easier. Host was super helpful and made sure everything was okay.

Kevin’s b&b is in the perfect location tucked away from all the hustle in Kyoto! A short walk to the station and you can get anywhere you want. There are plenty of food options around too! A bonus for us was the bag storage as we got to the b&b before check in time. Would stay here again :)

I planned a trip to Kyoto with a classic B&B vibe in mind and while there was no opportunity to eat all together, Tsukiya was perfect! Location was exactly where we wanted to be in the city, with easy access to public transit and even walkable areas. The breakfasts every morning were thoughtfully crafted starting about 2 hours beforehand. The space was authentic - highly recommend to anyone going to Kyoto!
