House vacation rentals in Lafitte

We stayed at Pool Haven last week while moving our daughter into Tulane, and it was a fantastic home base for a very busy trip. The location couldn’t have been better—just a short walk to Magazine Street, which made it easy to grab coffee, shop, or find great food in between all the moving errands. The house itself was clean, spacious, and had a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The pool was such a nice bonus—perfect for cooling off and relaxation together. Edward and David were incredibly gracious hosts—responsive, thoughtful, and so easy to communicate with. And Marlene, their sweet dog, was truly an angel! She added a special, comforting presence that made us feel right at home. We’d absolutely recommend Pool Haven to other Tulane families or anyone visiting New Orleans. My family travels to New Orleans quite frequently, and this is one of the top AirBNBs at which we have stayed. It was spacious and appeared just like the pictures on the website. It is in a great area of town, in walking distance to shopping and restaurants. It is also very close to two grocery stores. The pool was a nice addition and perfect for our 6 yo son. Michael and Marcia were communicative and we were appreciative that they let us check in early on our day of arrival. Would highly recommend a stay here.

We stayed at Sam’s for my daughters Tulane graduation and it was the perfect spot with easy access to both Tulane and the French Quarter. There was plenty of space for our extended family. The space was comfortable and lovely with custom decorative painting. The pool and back yard were great for relaxing between activities. Sam was very responsive to questions and my early check in request. I would highly recommend if you’re visiting NOLA with a group!

The house was just what our family needed for our trip to NOLA. The location is perfect. It took us about 15 minutes to get to wherever we wanted to go. There are plenty of restaurants and markets close by and within walking distance. The neighborhood was friendly and felt very safe. The house was just as described and was a nice place to come back to after a long day exploring. The hosts supplied so many things that are often forgotten by travelers. The pool was a welcome respite after a long hot day. The house provides plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. NOLA definitely has its own vibe and this house allowed us to feel like the locals during our stay. Thanks for sharing.

Everything was exactly as described. Alleshia was very responsive to all inquires. We ended up being there during terrific downpours, so we spent cozy hours indoors. The neighborhood is interesting and some of the properties are undergoing a face lift.

This was our second time staying at one of Thomas' properties, and we had another great stay. The home is beautifully decorated and maintained, and has everything you need for an easy and enjoyable stay. Thomas was very accommodating with check-in time and our last-minute request for a pack n' play -- a fantastic host! We found the neighborhood very friendly, and enjoyed the proximity to the Lafitte Greenway (access is just a block away -- we didn't even realize this when we rented the place!) and local businesses like Flour Moon and the Broadside. Highly recommend!

Sara & Mark are New Orleans to the core. They keep a lovingly decorated and beautiful historic house, they love their city and they want you to enjoy yourself. So kind, so accommodating, so thoughtful. They're a class act all the way. The house is but a few steps away from one of the most beautiful parks in the country, and well-situated for exploring the most fascinating city in the country. Do yourself a favor and bring (or rent) a bicycle, and pedal all over the area.

We traveled to New Orleans to celebrate our son's graduation and Rachels place on the bayou was perfect! Everything was exactly as pictured. We enjoyed the gorgeous ride in with all the spanish moss covered trees and even saw a few gators. Rachel was very responsive to messages and quickly added a night for us (we just weren't ready to leave). 10/10 recommend.

The house was so perfect, functional, comfy, and surprisingly accommodated nine people exceptionally well. We felt so at ease and happy that we could all fit so well. We loved the living room couch, multiple naps were taken there and it fit my two aunts side by side on one end! Just can't say enough how family friendly the house is. I felt closer to my family because it was an open concept; however, there was enough space between living and dining room to carry separate conversations. It was also really close to major attractions like Bourbon street, which was not as important for us this trip since tourism wasn't our main focus, but it was so easy to go for a quick jaunt into Jackson Square and Cafe Du Monde. The neighborhood seemed so safe, we all felt comfortable going out to our car late at night. And the neighbors were friendly. Also, with such a boisterous family I felt like we were able to still be ourselves. I'd definitely stay here again, we loved it.

It’s a great place to stay with a place to keep your boat on a lift. Well worth the money for the amenities, and a very friendly host.

Absolutely amazing stay, it’s absolutely beautiful inside, we sat on the porch and people watched quite a bit. Everything was comfortable, great water pressure. Host was SUPER responsive and willing to offer us a second property when we had a little hiccup with the AC that they VERY promptly got resolved. We would absolutely stay here again! It’s a beautiful, walkable area, close to the tram. Just overall a great place!

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary in New Orleans, and we had a wonderful stay. We absolutely love the area — after our first day, we decided to explore locally and enjoyed all the fantastic bars and restaurants within walking distance. The neighborhood has such a vibrant and lively atmosphere, making it the perfect place to immerse ourselves in the NOLA experience. One thing to note is that, due to the popularity of the area and its many great dining options, parking near the AirBnB was challenging. We usually parked a few blocks away, which wasn't a big issue for us, but I thought it was worth mentioning for future guests. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy the charm and excitement of New Orleans!

Great quiet location, central to everything. The hosts were eager to help with anything. They reached out and checked in to offer assistance. House had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Would stay again.

No complaints, we didn’t spend a lot of time there because we were off exploring but the backyard is perfect for your pets, they have laundry and fully stocked kitchen. AC was clutch. Very comfortable and cozy home. Would def stay again and highly recommend. Thank you Danny B

The duplex was very nice. It was decorated with local art and furnishings that really went well with the New Orleans vibe. The kitchen was really well stocked with all cooking and eating tools you would ever need and there were even some beverages, spices, and milk (oat milk and regular!!). We really appreciated that toiletries were all included as well as plenty of towels, toilet paper, soaps, lotions, shampoo/conditioner, etc. The bed and furniture were comfy. Olandra was very good with communication, recommendations, etc. We really enjoyed the stay.

Impressed with cleanliness and closeness to City Park. Home is very functional and great for New Orleans. Wonderful saf e neighborhood and will definitely will return.

We stayed here for our 5 days/4 nights in New Orleans. The bnb was exactly how pictured. Very clean. Very close to everything. We had a blown light bulb and they dropped a bulb off quickly. We would happily book again if we visit NO again.

We had a great stay at Jenee’s place - it was a perfect tranquil counterpoint to the quarter and more raucous neighborhoods. You have to be willing to use the ferry to get back and forth , but it’s 1.5 blocks away. There are limited choices for restaurants / attractions , but that is maybe why it’s so charming and perfect. The porch was lovely for coffee and sitting in the evening too for people watching.

Mike’s place was amazing! It was such a cute house and perfectly positioned for everywhere we needed to go while visiting New Orleans!
