This is a lovely five star apartment in an ugly seaside town. That's not the hosts fault. They are good hosts, quite helpful and the place itself is very nice with a great view if you don't look out and not down, but we had difficulty finding a good restaurant and would not recommend Samana, the town, as a good place for a holiday. The locals don't take care of it very well. The roads are very bad with construction and no signage, and the sea is full of garbage. The north shore of the Samana peninsula is where you want to be. This is just my opinion.
