Family-friendly vacation rentals in Kolymvari

My boyfriend and I stayed 5 days in the accommodation and were very pleased with our stay. The apartment is on the first floor of a beautiful modern house. The apartment was very well equipped, there was nothing missing. The beautiful terrace with a hot tub is worth mentioning. The location is great. It is about 15 minutes drive to the center of Chania. Several beaches are within walking distance. The house itself is in a quiet location. It offers a good base for exploring Crete. Katerina and her husband are great hosts. Upon arrival, a fresh Greek salad, oranges and wine awaited us. We got fresh vegetables from the garden a few days later. Katerina was always available and very friendly. We felt very comfortable. Overall, we would recommend the accommodation! 5/5 stars!

The places is perfect.

Great stay, great location, great views. Very close to many bars and restaurants. Not too noisy at night. The only slightly negative aspect was the shower. Basically made the entire floor flooded. Overall, i would recommend the place and would definitely return.

Hidden gem! Loved this home, literally two minute walk to Golden Beach. Katerina is so sweet (she met us in-person, had local restaurant recommendations, and even provided a bottle of wine). The home was perfect for our group of 6 (great value for the money, too). Would 100% come again!

Beautiful place and great host

Nikos and Joanna were excellent hosts. Clear instructions of how to find the villa and greeted us on arrival. The villa is immaculate, very high end finish and the surrounding area is stunning. Close to both Chania and the Marina, both worth a visit. We have had a brilliant time with the family and will definitely be back again!

What a wonderful house! We were surprised to be so close to 2 lovely beaches, great hikes and a delicious restaurant. We’re a family with 3 young kids and they loved the swing, swinging bench, jacuzzi, space to play inside. Dimitris left a baby crib, high chair, and toddler potty for us which was super helpful. The best was Dimitris was very kind upon greeting us late at night when we arrived.

Had a wonderful stay here. Llove everything about the villa from how clean it was, the space the amenities and the heated pool. Peter and Georgia were wonderful hosts. I would definitely recommend this villa.

If you love a vacation off the beaten track, away from the crowds of tourist resorts... this is your place. The house is located in a small village attached to the rock with stunning views of the Rokka gorge. The terrace you'll share with other guests is perfect for enjoying breakfast or an aperitif. Be aware that there are cats that come looking for food... for those with allergies... Marianna provided us with food for the first night and was always responsive to any questions or problems. Rokka is the ideal place to explore the beaches of the northwest of the island and Chania. The southwest beaches are at least an hour's drive away. We're taking beautiful memories with us Thank you.

Very cute, little stone house, perfect for one or two people that want to get away from Chania/ the busy beaches and stay somewhere surrounded by olive trees and small cats. Irene is super welcoming and helpful and I enjoyed every second of my stay.

There will not be enough superlatives to describe this place. The location overlooking the Venetian Harbor was amazing. The house is historic, beautiful and has all the amenities you will want. You literally won't believe the large rooftop deck with crazy views. The house had lots of interesting things to read, lots of space for a large group and it was stocked with maps and guidebooks. The neighborhood is completely safe. The in-person welcome from the hosts contained some really thoughtful surprises (you will need to find out yourself - I won't ruin the surprise welcome.). The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. The place was super clean and everything well maintained. Just felt right at home with an amazing view, great beds and a beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Georgia is a very gracious host. She welcomed us upon our arrival, showed us the supplies, and provided all the necessary information about the area. The house had everything we needed, and it was very comfortable and quiet. It was also clean and spacious enough for all 11 of us.

One-of-a-kind, beautiful stay. If you’re lucky enough to find Stelios and Nina’s home available, book it. The most unique Airbnb I’ve stayed in. Wonderful hosts. Prime location. Gorgeous home with an amazing balcony. 10/10.

We had a fantastic stay in Michalis's lovely corner suite. It was cozy, unique, and had everything we needed, plus nice extras like a washer, a second bathroom and street parking (just do an extra lap around the block). The location was ideal, with traditional windows opening to a garden and ruins, and it was a short walk to everything while being away from the Old City crowds. Michalis was an amazing host—very responsive, provided great local tips, and even took time to offer us coffee and chat. He’s definitely one of the best hosts I've ever met. I highly recommend this place and a stay with Michalis!!

Fantastic location for a beach vacation and walkable to old town/Venetian harbor. Alkis was a great host, he helped to arrange cab pickup at the airport and super responsive when I had questions about running the washing machine, and needing new batteries for the TV remote. The location was as described and great to have the courtyard for extra space/ drying out beach items. We ate great food, swam with turtles, and enjoyed easy access to sunsets on the beach. Would love to return!

The villa literally has everything including loo rolls and washing powder. It really is a home from home. Spotlessly clean. Rustic but modern. Bug nets on the windows (with electric shutters). Outside space is big & very well kept. All beds comfortable with plump pillows. Duvets if needed. Big living area with comfy sofa. Heated pool & pool cover which kept the pool at 27° without the need to heat it. Pool cleaning robot kept the pool spotless. Robot lawn mower kept the grass tidy & free from fallen leaves. Lots of water & cakes on arrival plus he brought us special bread and also eggs from their chickens. Cats - not an issue at all. Definitely need a car. Nikoloas & Antonia are both lovely. They meticulously cleaned the pool and pool area after the orange dust storm. Communication was excellent. He checked in with us after the earthquake and also sent suggestions for things to do. I would absolutely recommend this villa. This is by far the best Airbnb we’ve stayed in.

This villa has so much charm that we immediately felt very comfortable. There is everything you need for a successful vacation. We found the beds incredibly comfortable. A beautiful pool surrounded by a garden where we can pick oranges and other fruits directly from the tree. Great for relaxing and unwinding - a little off the beaten path and therefore very quiet. After a very bumpy journey and unplanned arrival in the middle of the night (whereby the communication always worked out excellently and we were able to access the villa without problems - i.e. without waking anyone), water, welcome wine and a huge fruit and vegetable basket awaited us. The outdoor shower was used every day and was already a highlight. The contact with Mr. Stratos and his son on site was friendly and straightforward. Thank you for that! We felt really comfortable - thank you to the whole team for the great support during our stay in Neriana.

We had the best time staying at Tanja’s amazing studio. From the second we arrived, we were struck by the beautiful landscape of flowers and orange trees. The pool and patio were so peaceful and the studio was incredible clean and accommodating. The highlight of the stay was Tanja’s excellent recommendations of beaches, tavernas, and excursions. She was both incredibly friendly and communicative. We’d definitely stay again.

Villa Celestine is sensational! I can't recommend it enough. The villa is amazing and has all mod cons and luxury features. The views from the middle and top floors are second to none - right on the beach over looping the sea and the habour. The area is beautiful, Kolymbari is the perfect sleepy little seaside village, with plenty of restaurants, gift shops, taxis and waterparks nearby. But the best part was the team of Christina, George and everyone nearby that helped with everything we needed. The service was excellent, i'd say perfect!

Our host and the property owner, George, lives next door. He was great! The villa is beautiful and the location was great, also. Clean, fully stocked, and well cared for. But be ready to climb stairs - 3 floors. Also there is not a clothes dryer as the description states and the hot tub is not heated. That was a disappointment as that was a feature we really wanted. All in all, we had a great time.
