You will live in your own house, with your own garden where the lovely moments can be enjoyed with family or friends. The house is located opposite the amazing baker, within a short walking distance to Højer Mill with a café, close to a nice ice cream shop, the grocery store and Højer Pølser. The Wadden Sea, the North Sea and the Tønder marsh are right outside the door, and definitely worth a visit.

Meadows and forests characterize the surroundings as well as inland dunes in the nature reserve, perfect for hikes with animals. Nearby bike and pedestrian paths invite you to explore the surrounding towns. Denmark is just a few kilometers away, as is the small town of Tondern. Access is separate from the residential building.

Includes entrance, 2 cozy living rooms, a suite, retro kitchen with oven, stove, refrigerator and dishwasher, bathroom with shower, 2 bedrooms with double beds - one is with elevation. One bedroom is a walk-through bedroom. Back entrance with washing machine. Included in the price is final cleaning, as well as towels and bed linen.

Outside, the Wadden Sea, dikes and endless expanse await; inside, a lovingly furnished home with plenty of coziness and comfort. A place to switch off and take a deep breath – perfect for long walks, moments in the mudflats, and quiet evenings in your own little retreat.

This is what holiday dreams under thatched roofs look like: The Frisian cottage "Kliemkiker" was newly built in 2016: 120 square meters of living space for up to 4 people on a nearly 1000 square meter plot with fantastic views, directly on the Wadden Sea National Park. A dog is also very welcome. All North Frisian islands (Sylt, Föhr, Amrum) and Halligen (e.g. Hooge, Gröde, Langeness) as well as the islands of Pellworm and Römö in Denmark are easily reached by car, train or boat as a day trip.

Beautiful View

Here you can relax and start excursions to the surrounding area. The house is situated in an idyllic location on the marsh hiking trail. The apartment is located in a half of the house that is separately accessible for guests. It offers a lounge area, a reading corner, a kitchen, 3 double rooms and 3 bathrooms. The hosts live in the other half of the house. In the guest garden you can relax or let off steam on the trampoline. An additional room in the passage area has been added.

Halmhuset - The Straw House

Our thatched house is probably the only "Halmhuset" that is rented as a vacation home in Denmark. It is breathable, made of clay and straw, and is sustainably supplied by heat pump and photovoltaics. In summer, the thick walls provide pleasant coolness, in winter it is cozy and warm, with a room height of up to 4 meters. A real feel-good place for up to 8 people, located at the gates of the city of Tønder, close to the Wadden Sea National Park and the islands of Sylt and Rømø.

Holidays on the North Sea

Welcome to the farm Norderhesbüll farm! My guest room with kitchenette and private bathroom offers peace and an unobstructed view over the North Frisian Marschland. The courtyard is the ideal starting point for excursions to the surrounding islands and Halligen, the Charlottenhof and the Nolde Museum. It is only 8 km to the Danish border. Thatched Cottage by the Lake

Welcome to our terp in Waygaard near the lake Botschlott. The accommodation is a traditional thatched farmhouse flat with a view overlooking the lake, the surrounding meadows and the North Frisian marshes. It is ideal for nature lovers: you can canoe, cycle and watch the flocks of birds that use the partly protected lake as a migration and nesting site. The house was carefully restored with natural materials in 2025/2026

Sit back and relax – in this quiet, stylish accommodation. The old thatched house with a large garden and cozy living room as well as a combined kitchen/living room offers plenty of space for relaxation. In summer in the garden and in winter cozy by the fireplace. The surroundings attract with a lot of Frisian charm – dyke, fields, mudflats and the islands of Sylt, Föhr & Amrum are a stone's throw away for a day trip.

Amrum vacation home

Our accommodation is located directly on the dike and close to the Südwesthörn swimming area. The quiet secluded location and cul-de-sac location allows our little guests to play safely in front of our house and dike. Especially the healthy salt and iodine-containing air will help all guests with breathing problems to breathe well again.
