Vacation rentals with a patio in Kjósarhreppur

Perfect place for our family of four with two younger kids. Great location near Hallgrimskirkja, which was somehow simultaneously peaceful but also very central and walkable to all the town has to offer. Rooms were plenty spacious, kitchen / dining area was cozy, nice little balcony, and all of the amenities you need. Phil was a friendly and responsive host, offering up local recommendations and quickly responding to messages. Check in and check out instructions were detailed and clear. Highly recommended and thank you so much for hosting our stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Stefania’s place for 7 days. Her apartment was centrally located from all of the places that we visited and the underground parking was so convenient. Her beds were so comfortable, and the apartment was beautifully designed with all of the modern luxuries. Stefanie was also super responsive to our questions and easy to communicate. My family is already thinking about visiting Iceland again and would love to stay at Stefania’s place for our next visit.

Sesselja provides all the information you need before you arrive and is very responsive if you have any questions or problems. A small problem with the shower was solved within a few hours, with the gift of a good dessert! The flat is well equipped, so I didn't lack anything during my week. The city centre can be reached on foot in 15 minutes and there are plenty of shops within walking distance. Thank you for everything!

Loved staying here. It was a great home base for us and our host was lovely. She recommended several places to go and was always responsive through the entire stay.

We loved staying in Anna's apartment! She is an amazing and kind hostess. The apartment looks even better than the pictures, very clean and comfortable. Includes all the amenities you could need and the location, although not in the center, it's really accessible (if you rent a car) and the neighborhood is nice. The building has an elevator which was a plus. Would stay there again.

Second time staying at this apartment. Jon is friendly and helpful, and the apartment has exactly what I was looking for. Great location, lots to do nearby, kitchen with the right cookware and utensils for my needs. TV was easy to cast to. Hope to stay here again in the future.

Gísli's place was perfect! Clean, well equipped, comfortable, centrally located with a gorgeous view of Hallgrímskirkja. Cute deck, from which we were lucky enough to see the northern lights. it was a short walk to most of the places we wanted to see and there are great restaurant and café options close by. Gísli was communicative and helpful every step of the way! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Ari’s apartment was conveniently located a 15 minute walk from the center of downtown. Everything was clean and welcoming, and it was a great home base for a few days of exploring. Ari was communicative, responsive, and very helpful. We would happily stay again.

We really enjoyed Asa's place. It was very clean and had everything you would need: dishes, utensils, a book with detailed instructions on every major appliance in the house. Asa responded quickly to our queries and was very nice over messages, we did not see each other face to face. We would love to be back some day 🙂

Tara’s home was a great find. It’s close to the city center (15ish minute drive) in a quiet residential area. Kitchen is fully equipped to cook full meals, grill outside, grocery store 2 minutes away. Book, games and toys for the kids including soccer and basketballs. Everything we could need was available. She was quick to respond to questions and was kind enough to let us check in early after our red eye flight. Highly recommend.

A beautiful, peaceful setting, with stunning views. Kathrin and her husband let us know when the northern lights appeared one evening and helped us with the settings on our i-phone so we could take the best pictures. Very appreciative or their help. We highly recommend their quiet cottage.

Great place for a family with small kids. Spacious and in a quiet neighborhood. Kids enjoyed the trampoline and other toys. Host was flexible with check in and efficient/accommodating even though previous guests checked out a bit late.

Nice house in in good area, a lot of space and light. Many games and toys for kids! 10 min by walk to the bus terminal.

The apartment was a perfect base for a week of exploring the West of Iceland. It is located on a beautiful peninsula which was peaceful to walk around in the evenings, whilst being close enough to the centre of Reykjavik to be able to easily explore. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean, modern and comfortable. Thura was a very responsive host, replying quickly to any messages. We would definitely recommend the apartment to others.

We chose this home because it was affordable and minutes from family that we were visiting for the first time. We were concerned it was too good to be true; however, it exceeded our expectations! The views from the driveway were stunning, mountains and Northern lights. We were traveling with 5 adults and 3 children. Had plenty of space and the kids enjoyed the toys!!! Enjoyed the walking trails and playground close to the home.

Great house, very clean and easy to find. Host was extremely quick in replying and helpful. Would recommend as a base if exploring Rekyavik and south Iceland!

Seven minutes drive to downtown Reykjavík. Great parking at the church for the cheapest parking price in town and incredibly secure. Average price was about half price or better of any hotel downtown. Savings allowed me to have a rental car and do some of my own touring. Parking was great on site at the apartment. Very clean building and facilities. YouTube was great for learning how to use the stove and wash washer/dryer.

We have a lovely time in this apartment. It was extremely comfortable and such a great location. Considering how central it is, it was so quiet and peaceful. Would definitely recommend.

Possibly our favorite Airbnb stay in Iceland. We loved the interior of the apartment, it was a combination of modern design and cozy lived in elements; so both good looking yet feeling very friendly and inviting and liveable. The location was incredibly central, all the restaurants and stores that we had highlighted for a visit were no more than 5-10 minutes walk away. The only negative I can think of is that we only stayed two nights, wished we had booked a longer stay!

Beautiful condo, conveniently located on the edge of the city. Nice hot tub and easy to park, get to grocery store, etc. 15 minute drive into the heart of Reykjavik. Very clean and spacious.

everything was awesome at this wonderful home in the best street in Reykjavik. highly recommend if you want to be in the middle of the city and walkable to highlights. Sigrun was also a very attentive host. I would ask a coffee bean grinder and press for those looking to brew their own coffee but the nespresso was plentifully stocked!! Tip to book a bus from airport like FlyBus which is far cheaper than the 150 to 200$ it otherwise costs for a taxi.

Hurnd and Davio’s place had a modern Scandinavian flair and it came with a well equipped open kitchen which connects to a dining room where 6-8 people can dine comfortably. The living room is so cozy as well and there were unblocked view for sunrise and sunset everyday, we really enjoyed our time experiencing Icelandic nature and there are also some outdoor seatings to get some fresh air. There were the two of us staying this time and the main purpose was for work. As we had some free time we did make use of the #14 bus which is just 2 mins walk from the apartment and runs to the city center and big church. The grocery is also just 15 mins walk away. Hrund even left us a personal message and she ensured our stay was hassle free with explanation of how the trash is sorted. The toilet was really nicely designed too and you can always count on the geothermal water coming out from the tap for a nice hot shower. We would definitely stay with Hrund and Davio again in the future!

Wir könnten nicht glücklicher sein. Es war für uns der letzte Stopp unserer Winterreise und die Gemütlichkeit der Unterkunft hätte uns fast nicht mehr nach Hause fliegen lassen. Die Wohnung ist noch schöner als auf den Fotos und das einfache Leben durch die unmengen an Gewürzen, Tees, Kaffee hat das entspannte Erlebnis abgerundet. Man sollte keine Schwierigkeiten mit (wenn auch kurzen) steilen Treppen haben. Für uns eine ganz klare 10/10! Wir kommen gerne wieder, sollten wir nochmal nach Island reisen.
