Just book it. It’s perfect. Incredible views, luxuriously comfortable, spotless, well-designed. Bad weather meant we couldn’t leave the property for a couple days and my goodness what a blessing that turned out to be! We didn’t want it to end! The place is spectacular. Oh, and we saw whales from the hot spring! Truly magical.

Two adults and one child vacationing in this valley of paradise not far from Reykjavik! The setup was ideal and we all felt right at home. It was so comfortable, warm and we loved the added bonus of the hot tub!! We had a car rental and did our own touring of the southwest including the golden circle of our own. Highly recommend this lovely cabin!!

We had such a lovely time at Zoei’s garden. One of the coziest places we’ve ever stayed in! The geothermal hot tub was so nice to relax in and take in the beautiful surroundings. The house has everything you need and more. Very family friendly. If we are being honest, Godo (the cat) was our favorite part of our entire stay. He was the sweetest cat we’ve ever met and I think we’d travel all the way back to Iceland just to see him again! ♥️ The house is in the perfect location to travel to Reykjavik or the snæsfellsness peninsula and anywhere inbetween. Zoei was an incredible host - super responsive and always available to answer any questions we had! Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home with us! We will be back!

This was our first time in Iceland and I’m so glad we chose Helga’s beautiful cabin to stay. The surroundings are amazing and something we will never forget. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable for the week. It was cozy, quiet, and felt private even with cabins nearby. Off the beaten path but close to our first stop on the Golden Circle. We enjoyed the hot tub, very relaxing after a lot of driving and hiking. We weren’t sure we’d see the northern lights so late in the season but ended up seeing them our last two days - right from the cabin deck and living room windows. After such a great trip, I hope to return to Iceland someday soon!

My husband and I wanted to get away from the city and out in the country. This was the perfect place for us. The scenery around the cabin is breathtaking. We enjoyed the hottub and we're also able to view the Northern Lights on a few nights. The amenities inside were perfect and just what we needed. I was a little apprehensive about the shower being outside in a separate building, at first, but the water was hot and the pressure was excellent. Our stay was perfect and the communication with Vidar was top notch. Such a beautiful place.

We had a wonderful stay at Jónsstaðir. The cabin was lovely and warm on arrival thanks to the underfloor heating. The cabin had everything we needed for our three night stay. We were a little apprehensive about the outdoor shower but even in November this was great! It is in a wonderful location overlooking Þingvallavtn and only a 10 minute drive from þingvellir National Park and 30 mins from Reykjavik. The hosts Anna and Björn were very accommodating and helpful and answered our questions quickly. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Himri was the absolute perfect place to stay for me and my friends. We saw the Northern Lights directly above and in front of the house, loved being surrounded by mountains, and found the drive to other places in our itinerary incredibly easy. The house had everything we could possibly need for our stay, including kitchen basics and coffee. The hot tub and sauna were the perfect means of relaxing after a long day of hiking and exploring. Berglind's communication was swift, thorough, and friendly, and we even received notice directly of the evacuations that were happening to the south as a result of the volcanic eruption (we were completely safe, but the message from our host was greatly appreciated). I hope to return to Iceland in the future, and there is nowhere else I would choose to stay.

This was a very relaxing stay. The cabin is quaint and the fireplace is lovely. Signý gave great instructions to find the cabin, but don’t be fooled— this cabin is isolated. Definitely use the GPS coordinates, as you need to drive down a dirt road and through a livestock gate. We really enjoyed the isolation and cozied up with fires in the wood stove, but it is definitely rural. As others have mentioned, the water is also noticeably sulphuric and unpleasant— not surprising, given that it’s Iceland—but Signý provided drinking water in the cabin. The amenities were older and the bathroom is definitely dated, but we made the kitchen work and enjoyed our stay. We would stay again! Thank you for a peaceful time!
