Cabin vacation rentals in Kings Mountain

When my friends and I arrived, we walked through each room shouting, "Wow!" We originally planned for a day trip to Asheville, but this place was so beautiful we just decided to stay in. The highlights were the view from the porch, the hot tub, and the rec room. Highly recommended stay and I wish I could've stayed longer

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mountain Mama. The location was peaceful and private, the house itself was beautifully furnished inside! Loved everything about it. Host was extremely informative and responsive. Highly recommend to any family looking for a well equiped place to vacay!

Very comfortable, relaxing and peaceful. Home was clean and cozy! Highly recommend and will stay here again. Bed and furniture very comfortable and the hot tub was relaxing. Having shampoo and body wash as well as phone chargers (the things you tend to forget) was amazing. Nicely decorated! Porch is very relaxing and peaceful!

This cabin was absolutely magical! We visited on Memorial Day weekend and it could have been more perfect! It’s a beautiful cabin that has amazing views and really makes you feel at home. Our dog Luna absolutely loved the place! They left a whole variety of movies and games for us to enjoy while we were there as well! They also included a list with the best restaurants, hikes spots and things to do! We didn’t want to leave when our trip was over! Would love to come back one day in the future!

This was an amazing place to get away for some peace and quiet! Michelle was proactive reaching out to us about our stay and so kind and responsive to our questions. She remembered it was my birthday weekend and made sure to ask how we were enjoying our time away from home. The place was so cute and the decor was very unique (love the sinks). Very clean! Will definitely visit again.

This cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway! Charity was quick to respond to any inquiries we had, and check-in/check-out was a breeze. The cabin is a short drive to town with good restaurant options in case you don’t feel like cooking, but secluded enough in a gated neighborhood that it felt like a retreat. 10/10 would recommend!

Wonderful view, clean and super relaxing. Loved the separated king rooms with their own en-suite bathrooms. Great for two couples. If you had kids with you the downstairs had two more bedrooms that would’ve been great for kids. Hot tub was great. Only downside to the place is the distance from things if you want to go out at all. We decided to be relaxed and stay in a bunch so it was great. We had rainy weather but did the short waterfall hike in the subdivision one day. It was easy and enjoyable. Took less than an hour. Katrina was very responsive. Overall a great Airbnb!

Loved this place!! The place was clean! - well thought out towels, amenities, etc. Really nice! Great location if you’re looking to decompress a bit. Great walking right out the back door. Stream in front. Great bed - slept well which isn’t always the case. Nice big master bedroom. Nice big bedrooms and bathrooms. Couldn’t recommend enough. Love it - it’s in nature but easy to get to and not far at all from town. Can be at a vegetable stand and brewery in 10-15m. Insterstate is right there - so really best of both worlds. You get off the interstate and immediately start driving into nature. Is on dirt road but is well maintained so again best of both worlds. We just walked the same stretch of road between the cabin and the entrance to the National Forest and nature provided - bears, lightning bugs, frogs, turkeys, birds, salamanders, swimming hole, etc. Couldn’t have been better.

I want to say this place was so at home. I felt we were in cabin and being rural, at the same time so close to whatever we needed. the surrounding was absolutely breathtaking. The cabin was so clean and equipped. My son loved the fact he could stay in loft by himself, and still being close to us. we loved to hear birds, and rooster singing around and we also meet some locals and neighbors; very friendly. Robin and Jay were so kind when I needed to talk to them and John helped me to find the local event, even though we didn't go (we had so much fun just being at cabin). What a great place. Cabin was easy to find on a very quiet road. It was a very peaceful and relaxing location. The creek is beautiful. Jacob was quick to respond to any questions and he was very helpful and informative. I’m looking for to staying here again.

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful and private A-frame cabin! Tucked away in a serene setting, it was the perfect retreat to unwind and recharge. Our pups felt right at home and loved exploring the quiet surroundings. We truly appreciated the privacy and calm atmosphere, and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a tranquil getaway with their furry companion!

My time here was all that I expected and more. The house was both comfy and beautiful. I'm a city gal from Baltimore but in-love with nature. The location was great with amazing views. The old fashioned rocking chairs made me just want to sit on the porch all the time. Whether it was evening cocktails watching the sunset, afternoon lemonade moments or morning coffee with the sunrise. Nothing about your stay here will be disappointing. Oh, they even went the extra mile to contact us to let us know we forgot a pair of sandala and ship them for a small fee. Thank you Mike and Cate for a memorable stay!

Such a beautiful space and in a beautiful area. They owners are so kind

It was raining lightly when we arrived, we had no idea Hurricane Helene was also coming to the mountains. We lost power the second day and water, Kenny and heather came to check on us and brought us a propane stove to cook on and boil water. This community has been hit hard by the storm, but it was incredible to see how quickly people came together to help each other. Kenny knew someone who had satellite internet and solar power, and they were happy to let people use it to get messages out. Another person had a satellite phone and offered to send messages for people. There is a local monastery, and the monks worked hard to clear the roads of mud and debris. When this area recovers, you must show them some love and support. The property is beautiful and the area is worth a trip. Please pray for them.

The real log cabin, and surroundings were absolutely beautiful. Very peaceful, forested surroundings in a very quiet development, exactly what I was looking for. The geographical location is great, with three small towns close by. The major cities of Charlotte, Asheville, and Greenville are within an hour's drive. I plan to visit again.

This was place was just something else! The surroundings were astounding, and the home was very spacious. Not only that but you even get to be with a cat in there, the most gentle and calm cat I have ever met. I would absolutely recommend this house and would love to come back.

Very relaxing in the heart of Lake James area! Went on several hikes, mostly stayed at the house during our stay - screened in back porch was our favorite place to hang out!

It was a delight to spend a few nights in this darling cabin with such a spectacular view from the back porch. Everything was as described by the host, and I would definitely stay here again!
