Vacation rentals with a kayak in King and Queen County

We loved staying at John's place, especially hanging out on the screened-in and open decks in the back of the house facing the water. Beautiful view, quiet, and very peaceful. We also had plenty of room to spread out and the kitchen was well-appointed.

What a perfect getaway location! Ruby's place was just what we needed, clean, beautiful, and so spacious, we truly had everything we could ask for. We so appreciated Ruby's great communication, flexibility and attentive nature for our stay, she was so helpful! 10/10 recommend!

It ought to be a collection of Such's and So's. Such a nice place and so quiet. So well decorated with taste and quality materials. Such a relaxing spot so close to the water. So so so good cookies and muffins. And last but not least, so nice people. Very lively and cheerfull Tanya, very calm, quiet and peacefull John (still amazed, 40 years later and apparently, by his wife who may still have more energy than any soldier he faced throughout his carreer . Is there any use to add we enjoyed very much being there and highly recommend the Birds nest ? Daniel

The cabin was so beautiful! so clean and comfortable! the views were spectacular! one of the most relaxing vacations that we ever took! Thank you for sharing your wonderful cabin with us!!

John’s hospitality was top-notch! He was kind and helpful with our questions. The location is perfect for a private experience but right outside of town. Staying here was like a dream, and we will be coming back!

As serene as it gets (except Wednesday is the mowing day, but didn’t bother us). Renee is super responsive, which helped a lot. The place is clean and very relaxing, it is remote though, any big city you want to drive to is 1.5-2hr drive. Had fun fishing from the dock, so many catfish there, anyone can catch. Friendly neighbors. Water is on the soft side. Fridge and cupboard had spices and condiments, and a water filter, which was a big plus. Pots and pans need replacing, that’s probably the only negative. Would come back in a heartbeat. Thanks Renee and Ed!

Our large group of friends had a blast this past weekend. The house feels roomy and spacious. Best of all, it is a perfect balance of beauty and functionality, stylish yet relaxing. The kitchen is well equipped and well laid out, easily accommodated the enthusiastic cooking, prepping, and clean up crews working together easily. Long dinning table and cushy sofa comfortably seats all of us without feeling crowded. Plenty of space in and around the house that accommodate for all of us together, and apart, for activities but also able to step away for some privacy when needed. We enjoyed sunset on the balcony, and yoga in the open area upstairs. We caught crabs off the dock, spotted dolphins, and kayaked out into the sunset. We had so much fun at the Red Roof Cottage and can’t wait to go back for another visit!

Incredibly peaceful and comfortable. looking forward to returning in warmer weather and for a longer stay. We were seeking a quiet place for renewal and relaxation and the little yellow cottage met all our needs. We stocked up on local seafood from nearby Warsaw to cook, woke up with the birds for breathtaking sunrises and soaked in the amazing hot tub with an incredible view. As a bird geek in training, I had an amazing assortment to watch and enjoyed the views from the dock and the deck each day. We experienced a heavy downpour for a great deal of our stay,but a trip to town and hunkering down with our books, puzzle and more hot tub were the perfect antidote. We might share the space with friends or family next time, as there was plenty of space. However, our trio of 2 humans and our puppy pal might just escape alone again! Thanks for sharing this letter slice of heaven on the "Rivah." We'll be back!
